How is Heroes a rip off of X-Men? There's no school, no professor, no bad-guy gang with a 'good intention.' There's a bunch of random dudes who either have powers or interact with people who have powers. The only similarity is that they're evolved. Wow. That's a real rip-off alright!

people say its a rip off of the xmen, and i love xmen so i cant argue with that. but it still had its own original elements. besides most tv shows and movies today are based off of something else.

oh yeah,the "97% of earths population died" was in the future,so it didnt happen cos' hiro nakamura stopped time and buried adam monroe alive and peter destroyed the virus using his nuclear power...and peter took sylars power which is to knoe how things work or function...but it comes with a side effect which is a hunger to know more which is basically why sylar killed all those ppl...

wanna knoe??well,peter healed,but nathan was scarred badly by the nuclear blast...peter brought him to a nearby hospital but got kidnapped...after breaking out with a guy who can heals,adam monroe,adam gives his blood to nathan who heals tremendously,till the end of the season where peter finds out that adam use nathan to manipulate peter and release a virus that kills 97% of earths population as peter saw it...i watched season 3 too...its better...peter becomes a killer just like sylar..

They left it open-ended, and I haven't seen any Season 2. In the end, he's about to blow up, and his brother Nathan flies in, grabs him and flies him to a safe distance above the Earth, and the whole cast is looking up and they see a flash. So did that erase them both? Wouldn't they have decompressed in space? Nathan can fly, but he can't heal. And wait, Peter could fly, too, the whole time, because he spent time with his brother and could pick up his power! Gaaaagh, I dunno!

I thought about it later, and wondered if maybe Peter can only use one power at a time, though they really didn't make that clear. But I remember the Bitter Invisible Guy saying his powers were like a rolodex, and he had to pull one out at a time or something. So if he's going nuclear, maybe he can't take off right then. I dunno. This is why we're going to buy Seas. 1, haha. We rented it from Blockbuster and watched it in one straight week, and got totally hooked!

I have'nt seen Series 2 but I know what happens and who survives (the surprise has been spoilt for me -_-), they don't go into space they're just very high up, and I guess Peter could'nt fly himself because he was concentrating on stopping himself blowing up and killing everybody, or possibly he was being awkward and wanted to make a scene XP
