It is definitely a good cover, but it is mainly so due to the powerful and touching story of Ofra Haza. She wrote the lyrics to this song, and it is difficult not to think of her listening to it("the gaze that aches so much.."). As for the recording, many would come and go, but Ofra Haza still stands tall; her performance, her presence on and off screan and beyond any medium, her voice!
It would somehow be unjust to compare passers by to someone as unique as Ofra Haza.
In tears the entire summer has ended, Along came the autumn, Memories paint a cloud. Now like then, You come closer and caresses my face. Breath me, ignites at me,and my eyes, Are ever so wet. You are somewhere between a fragment and a cloud, Between blood and smoke, So lost. And I have no powers, no powers to see, You fall, no powers at all
Up until now, nothing has left, Give me a sign. The pain I once felt has returned. Yes all the time, You fade away like a drifting wave. And on the warm sand, Its just the look that hurts so much. Chorus: When the warmth of your body, Grasp me and ignites, Heats me up and twists, This pain strikes me again.

Ten years have passed since that shock struck us about Ofra's horrifying end; the world - whateever TIME/YEARS MEANS???
Phytagoras said that: "Time is the soul of the world"

The colour of Niniets voice IS beautiful, but why does she cut the tones; let them flow like Ofra masters so perfectly.
But Ninets voice as such, is quality, but she must polish is!!!
LEGATO VOICE, NINET!!!!
Listen to Ofra

Very good interpretation from Master Ofra; - I would have included the intermezzo that is in Ofra's song....
But very pleasant to listen to; Ninet voice is definitely high quality

No-one can compare to Ofra Haza or ever will. I would just hear this as a well-crafted tribute to her memory.

Taking the form of a tribute helps, but this serves to underline what a powerful performer Ofra Haza was.
