  • how do i achieve relief from upper back pain

  • @wazfrmoz Please go to our site to learn more about upper back pain, LoseTheBackPain (.) com

  • This makes a lot of sense to me, I had fusion surgery about 15 yr ago, 3 vertebra fused, and is getting worse. I have loss of muscle in my left arm and numbness in some fingers, muscle spasms constantly. Is very tiring and I know if I just find the right position to sleep the numbness and pain subside. This table makes a lot of sense to me. Bought one and will return and post whether this helped or not.

  • This is Dr. Brian Prieto of Prieto Chiropractic & Spinal Decompression and I have a DRX9000 spinal decompression unit in my office for the past 6 years in Yorba Linda, Orange County. Glad to see some education on inversion therapy, great job!

  • has anyone ever been damaged by this treatment?

  • Rosie O'Donnell and her penchant for inversion therapy is referenced in the book

"6 Newly Discovered and Never Before Published Secrets to Eternal Youth and Immortality"

    by Eternal Youth Empire.

Thank you for being such a profound inspiration!

  • inversion therapy is not good for all back problems and any body that uses one needs to find out whats wrong with them first..inversion tables r great tools and would recomend them but do your home work first to find out whats best for your back

  • @31syco you are right, they are not for everyone. But most people will benefit from even slight inversion. You do not have to fully invert.

  • The discs in my back are curved in. SO every couple of months Im in a huge amount of pain. When I had my son 11 yrs ago, the pain started getting worse. Ive been to the doctor & he makes my back feel better for a few days, but thats it. Someone told me to try yoga but I seriously doubt I want my body to bend like that when Im in pain. When the pain hits, I cant walk, lay down or even sit down. Medications are a joke & dont work. Someone told me to check out these videos. hope they work.

  • @dirtyfrank81

sorry to hear about your pain, we hope the videos help teach you about the many different ways to treat back pain.

  • The 5 dislikes are disgruntled doctors!

  • I have an inversion table. Best thing ever.

  • Got problems? Ask Mike Andrew, the creator of Invertion Therapy!

  • If you don't understand muscle physiology you will never understand muscles that contract but are unable to relax. Read the work of Thomas Griner at neurosoma (can't type in dot com but that is where you will find all the info you need).

  • Problem:

Waking up with back pain = back fatigue = unsupportive bed

Swelling of the back muscles is due to heat and irritation = heat

    Solution :

ice packs while laying down on a supportive bed.

First the swelling must be corrected before stretching.

Then stretching must be correct to bring back flexibility.

  • would you recommend inversion therapy to me? - i'm 19 years old. I have been diagnosed with a herniated disc at l5. I have also a grade 1 slip. (This is effectign my sciatic nerve.) And overall a worn lower back, probably a lot to do with baseball and poor posture. (short and quick my injury occurred in june. i have gotten 2 cortison shots and it has reduced my pain to a tingling in my leg.) Right now im on light stretches, but i feel its not helping!!! I can't bend forward!!

  • Admiring the time and effort you put into your blog and detailed information you offer! I didn't know that!

  • im 19 and have serious back pain. i can't even ly down straight without feelin the pain. its more on my lower and mid section of my back. Im tryna get into the marines after i finish my probation. what could i do to end my pain?

  • @oahugrownKALIHI the best thing to do would be to watch all the videos on our youtube channel and then visit our site: losethebackpain . com

  • @oahugrownKALIHI At your age, you should take this issue very seriously since 19 is pretty young to be hurting in the back and you don't want to make it worse. Im a personal trainer, my recommendation: strengthen, stretch, thermo and cryotherapy, deep tissue massage, get more flexible (look up yoga cats & cows), inversion therapy, and research proper posture. Western Medicine (aka your doctor) is retarded. EDUCATE YOURSELF

  • @805TrailRipper I'll give the stretching a shot. its hard for me to even reach. i feel as if everytime i wake up its worse. do u think acupuncture would help? im thinkin of that. but i dunno what needles would do for me. if not, would this inversion table thing help? i needa know. im going into the marines after i finish my probation and i don't want this problem to hold me back from boot.

  • @oahugrownKALIHI It's hard for me to see what will and wont work for you. It is different for everyone. See if you can find someone that has an inversion table so you can try it. We have a video about acupuncture as well, it may provide temporary relief. If you want permanent relief you'll need to find out why you are in pain in the first place.

  • @oahugrownKALIHI im the same and im 12.

i cant lie down without hurting, no matter wat i do it walways hurts. I cant even go to 3/4 way down to my toes so i can barely bend and i cant bend back at all withought my back feel like 7 bullets into my mid/lower left back and i can feel it spreading to the middle. tell me if u find somehow to cure it

  • @oahugrownKALIHI Learn 2 sleep on the floor with a pallet or mat...Reverse ab curls will strengthen your back...planks PEACE!!!

  • I'm seventeen and have MAJOR back pain, I still don't know why.

  • I'm 25 and suffer from back pain, Will I suffer for the rest of my life from this?

  • you do not have to, you just need to find out whats causing your pain and identify the right combination of treatment options for you..

you can learn more at LoseTheBackPain . com

  • Jamesbrown keep in mind that, sometimes back pain can go away as fast as it appeared. Depending on the cause and condition...walking is one of the best articulations for the spine and is a natural cure...why? It promotes everything we normally need to be healthy, from our feet to our head, from our circulation to our breathing. Pace yourself if you can walk and get 30 minutes a day (3 ten minute intervals if need be) 3x's a week, Swim if you cannot walk, God Father of Soul...Say it loud!

  • true, however pain is usually a warning sign of an underlying issue....

  • ya im under 20 and i have back problems... thats a problem

  • @zenar154 lol eh...im 16 and serious back problem....THATS a problem

  • Reading The Mind Body Prescription or Healing Back Pain by Dr. John Sarno will alleviate the pain the brain creates to "help us". This philosophy is the truth and are number one best sellers worldwide. Once it becomes your belief you will alleviate years of debilitating pain I guarantee. Check em out

  • What If Someone Has A Back Issue, Not Just Pain? Like Scoliosis, Or A Deteriorating disc? Would The Table Help With The Issue, Or Just Make It Worse?

  • Inversion Therapy will not fix, cure or prevent Scoliosis, that said, inversion can help with the management of the symptoms and it will help create more space in between your vertebra which in turn will help increase fluids into the disc and help hydrate the disc...

We do not believe that it will make a condition worse, that said, please use the table according to the guidelines...

  • @HEFFEROS It will help with functional scoliosis though cause thats to do with muscle imbalances, structural scoliosis it wont help much!

  • I bought an inversion table acouple of years ago, the fifth time I went to get off of it something bad happened and I couldn't walk for aweek.Turns out I had a dime size herniation on my L5 and had to have surgery.

  • Kcannone, can you elaborate on issues with ball socket joints ie knees and hips which are designed to work with gravity and not be pulled on? My chiropractor mentioned this and he let me borrow his table that you can hang by your hip area instead of full length. I would love to try a full size table like the one in this video but I'm concerned about long term effects of my knees and hips which I don't have any trouble with. I'm only 32 so I want to help my back, but not introduce other problems

  • i just ordered my teeter inversion table yesterday. i'm so tired of my lower back pain. chiropractors actually hurt my neck one time and i was done.

  • best of luck, please let us know how it goes. We have a few other videos on how to use them in case you need further assistance...

  • Putting things into perspective... taking the pressure off gives your nerves a break and allows the healing process to move forward.

Just a few minutes can make a big difference.

Drugging ones self does nothing to fix, it only depletes further vitamins & minerals that could be utilized for damage control.

Giving the body what it needs for repair is key.

You want real help? Then listen closely what this guy is saying.

Chiropractors get a bad rap from modern Quackademia. Don't buy it.

  • A recent study bu New Castle University found that inversion therapy reduced the need for back surgery by 75%!

  • I kept feeling like if I were to hang from a bar and have someone yank on my feet, my back would just go back into place. Problem is my hands only have so much endurance.

Why didn't I think of just hanging upside down!? I'm gonna try it ASAP.

If I were to go to the park to the monkey bars, will hanging by the backs of my knees engage too many muscles?

Or should I just find a way to tie my feet to a pull up bar?

... I'll try both and if I'm not paralyzed I'll come back and let you know. :)

  • lol, I wouldnt recommend trying to hang from the monkey bars unless you are pretty fit...

Inversion tables are worth the money, especially if it relieves your pain?

  • dude they had a good one at kmart i used it it was awesome n like 100 bux

  • Can this help with sharp pain. because when i bend backwards even just a little bit then go foward, i suddenly feel a really sharp and painful feeling to my lower back area. I know this has to do with me starting contortion at a late age, so would the inversion therapy help??

  • it is something you would have to ease in to, little by little. It is not the same as bending backgrounds....

  • What I'm not clear on is whether inversion truly permits decompression of the spine. Some experts dismiss inversion as a means to achieve decompression altogether. The most common argument specifies back muscles will resist gravity as a protective measure. This defensive muscular spasm disallows the spine to stretch significantly as a means to promote decompression. Id like to learn more. Thanks.

  • Wow! What a great alternative to drugs and surgery.

  • I definitely am going to try Inversion Therapy thanks for the good information!!

  • Hey sis, thanks for the comment!

  • This sounds like it will help me and the website has some other good info.

  • Great information. I wish people would try these non-invasive methods that truly work before opt-ing for surgery.

  • awesome.. thanks for sharing this great info.

  • Great info but can you demonstrate how the inversion table works?

  • Thanks for the comment, I have added a related video and I will add another one later.
