IMHO it seems Erza is quite hung up on him... even after they where separated when the council caught and arrested Jellal/Gerard. So far Jellal is still believed to be in prison but if he gets out I'd place high odds of them kicking it off... simply put by the end of the OS arc (the current series in the anime) they really seemed to be working past his evil old self... even Natsu fought to defend him from being arrested for Erza's sake.
