Most people disregard drafting. I can flow more water from a draft site than I can from most pressurized hydrants.
Recently, I made a 10 year old ALF pump 1,500 GPM from a lift of 17.5', through dual 6" intakes that were 60' long each.

The water supply was a forzen creek with less than 2 feet of water.
We (Our Fire Dept)was told that it was a poor water supply and could not be done.
