  • Thank you so much for this video, i will ask my dad help me make one too :)

    Hugs

  • Another super easy way of making a small one, that does it's job, but may not look so pretty. One of those bigger needles, that aren't so sharp, and just some elastic string. pull string through the eye, make a knot and bam, you're done. Works well for pulling small strands of hair through braids and such.

  • might have to do this I keep snapping the plastic ones

  • i do the ponytail flip without the topsy-tail. i used to have a bright pink plastic one, but stuff happened and it kinda got lost. i remember when i was little i used to wonder what it was for! hahah

  • How much 4 me to buy one of ur made ones

  • Thanks so much for this video!! I just made one!!! LOVE your videos!

  • you smart

  • i used the same hanger! only since i did'nt know how to cut mine i used some mailing tape and made it into a hug topsy tail and it worked to dothe heart piftails that i have done on myself. and my hair is like two to three inches past my shoulders. :)

  • Omg....thanx thanx thanx thanx soooo much! This was sooo easy to make....as long as you got the supplies...cause I went all over my house literally to look for a hanger that was bendable and easy to cut. What I did was similar to yours ...like I used a wire like thingy hanger ....then for cutting it...I couldn't find any strong scissors.....so I used my mom's plant trimmer/ cutter thingy..and then put the duct tape on....Thanx again!

  • i used a pipe cleaner to make a topsy tail because i didn't have a metal hanger : )

  • @askclaforgreenteaXD Did it work?

  • @LaceyLovesVaiden it helped me pull my hair the way i wanted to, but it was more flexable so it lost its shape once i pulled my hair through. anyways, it did work : )

  • finallyy!!!!!! sw d great camraman... d husband!!

  • Thank you I will use this for school! And did you put tape at the end so it doesn't hurt?

  • cant wait to make one tonight for my daughter and i to use. great idea!!! thanks

  • Made it !! It works perfect

  • i got mine at Claire's for $6(the 2 pack)

  • just made a topsy tail, i'm weak, so this took me about 10 minutes just to get the bumps out of the hanger, and 10 minutes to just tape is down and get it secure :)

  • it sounds like your husband is terrified to be in front of the camera

  • i made one but my dad helped me

  • can u use duct tape?

  • @Soccerroxsstar12 yeah as long as you wrap it around good..that's what I did...wrap it around and make sure there are no sticky duct tape parts..so they won't stick to your hair and damage it.

  • @ElizabethMakeupTV SWEET!!!

  • i made 4!!!! only two really were good mt 2 ones were like a jr. and a regular!!!!! i love it use it in my hair all the time!!!<3<3<3

  • Comment removed

  • Do you have to use electrical type?? can you use other type??

  • @cammykix yeh, u cna use any tape coz i used a different kind and it workeed

  • @cammykix No - I used stickytape and it worked just fine :)

  • YES i did it! Now i gotta make it without paying 4 it.

  • i failed

  • You can do this hairstyle without a topsy tail, but only for this hairstyle. The main reason to have a topsy tail is to use it for various other hairstyles as they have shown in some of their videos.

  • How many kids do u hav??

  • I purchased the 2 pack for $1.99 with free shipping on e-bay!!

  • God! I love this family!

  • I don't need a topsy tail for doing that o.o

  • can u make the hair flips without using a topsy tail thing?

  • @tma0120 yes! by making a tiny hole above the tie, then, puting your thoumb and index through and grab ur hair pull it!

  • @tma0120 yes you can its a bit harder though but not much.. :)

  • Can u use something else

  • I love how this is a family affair. :) Great tutorial.
