I have tried these settings with a longer video and it causes the audio to be out of sync. Kmacc390 can you try a longer video with these settings to test if you have the out of sync audio problem? I think you will.
high quality audio (which i believe is what you are referring to) is bearly known about at all.
High definition audio even less known about by general prosumers. And as long as you are not talking about 5.1ch sending then thats good. However if youtube had a 5.1 optional channeling it would be amazing!
i got 29 fps on my cam,i got software to make my vids 1028x720 and my bitrate is 2000 so i got a watch in high quality button i record in mpeg4z yes a z infront of mpeg4 it means .asf file so i edit and change all the settings with YASA video converter takes no quality away and you can't upload .asf files to youtube i tried so im uploading 1028x720 vids now with a high quality button!no hd i tried just cant do it idk y
Thanks! It is in HD men... If you have some Lags or problems. Just SAVE it to your Computer. How? I've saw it to user "MrPacMan36" videos. just search:
"How To Download True HD 720p and HQ YouTube Videos" in youtube.
If your video is high def widescreen to begin with you can use movie maker to output to xbox high def setting. If it is not you can use a free program called moyea video4web to crop it and output to flash and it will play in widescreen mode.
ok I want to record my desktop like with Hypercam 2 How can I upload the videos I make with this program in widescreen is their a specific program I have to use or can use help???
super sweet & crisp image of the close up bushes in the foreground, and superb for low light conditions aswell. I'm hoping for a small HD camcorder for xmas :)
Thats not true... if you want to future proof your videos on YouTube you have to upload at 1280px X 720px the least... you may get high quality using 640x360 but it will not render in HD quality... its only a matter of time before YouTube will offer HD, maybe a subscription service or they will monetize it.. we'll wait and see!
Yeah I'm not saying you did anything wrong it is youtube. I don't know.. I am looking at widescreen vids in HQ mode and then in &fmt=22 mode and they both are at 640 x 360 rez... the &fmt=22 just has a lot more bandwidth but will screw up anything p4 2.8 or lower.
I have a 1080p HD camcorder, i upload the video down to my computer over windows movie maker and then i save with it sayig 16:9 acpect ratio... but damn it never will go full widescreen on my youtube, i tried 3 different times using different saving files..
Experimenting with videos I found to view HD videos with &fmt=22 you must upload a video with resolution of 1280x720 or above, video bitrate of 3000kbps or more....I tried XviD,h264 and WMV and all worked, Im sure other formats work to
With Adobe, I tried the same settings with an original 1920x1080i MTS from my Sony HDR-SR12 camcorder (resized to 1280x720, 23.976fps) and it looks terrible after YouTube gets a hold of it. I also tried it with StaxRip using the x264 high quality crf 22 setting (mp4, 1280x720, yadif deinterlace) which looked gorgeous when played back with Media Player Classic, but YouTube killed it. No matter what settings I use, they never looks good in HQ on YouTube. Also tried DivX with no luck.
djtaadow... Thanks for sharing your examples setting here, its only by trial and error that we learn. I watched your latest upload and thumbs up for the widescreen format, its also looks great using the &fmt=22 trick... in normal view it looks a little washed out due to encoding process especially when there is a lot of movement ie. pan & zoom and also vertical lines (trees) the encoder hammers that type of footage...
Yeah, I tried the fmt=22 and they look really good. I'm doing some more with different types of footage to see how YouTube handles them. But I'm using 30fps instead of 23.976. I doubt it matters either way, but I'm having better results with 30fps.
GamingApeTRAILERS... I did mention on my website that the file size was big for the above YouTube clip it as 24MB for the 33sec clip so based on those settings Id say it would be around 45-48MB per minute... not huge but still big... hope that helps
Why has YouTube not posted any official guidance on the new 16:9 player? They just threw it in and left everyone scratching their head and having to experiment to find optimum encoding settings.
Do they not have enough money to hire someone to write a help file?
JRLZAGS03... I dont think you can use H.264 from within windows media encoder,I use a free encoding application called "Mediacoder" iPhone Edition, search for it on web and then I normally use that program to encoded to .mp4 using the H.264 codec also in the effects part I pick De-interlace (Linear Blend) that usually works for me... hope it helps
Thank you! I had uploaded video after video trying to produce a video like yours and I went by your dimensions and it work. Just curious though I first entered 720 by 1280 and it turned out to be portrait but when I tried 1280 by 720 it came to this video size and worked. I am using Sony Vegas.

Ha Ha there in NO high quality on youtube, yes there is widescreen but it's by no means 'high quality'.
At the moment they are experimenting with stereo sound.
Look at some of my music video postings i.e Neil Diamond-I am I Said, there is no better quality on youtube, it's just a myth.

If ur using a standard date camcorder, Firewire is the way to go. It delivers uncompressed quality as high as your camera can provide.
