this song is beautifull...this band was the greatest of that 80's times. You must listen all of your songs - they talk about all the live aspects in our lives. The lirycs are absolutelly fantastic. The chorus is the audience.

The 2nd and 3rd verses describe the experience of the singer on stage.

Then the inevitable fate in show biz:

Definitely Soft Cell's Tainted Love version is the best and also one of the best songs of the awesome 80's music. That decade was so great in terms of music, style, rhythmic. The music of 80's and 90's were not a mere music, it were a really poems, art that expressed feelings. Why it can't be achieved again?
