  • @Arzaker Marauder vs Dire Wolf :)

  • 6:30 aaaagh we're trapped under pieces of yellow construction paper!!!!

  • Speaking of Mechwarrior!

    Check out "MechWarrior Online"

  • I love the old-school stop motion/miniatures effects. They don't make'em like this anymore.

  • the red and white dude has a helmet on why would he be bleeding?

  • Siiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii porfinnnnnnnnnnn!!!!!! graciassss!!!! no sabia como se llamaba esta pelicula....recuerdos de mi niñez!!!!....(finally, i was searching this movie for years!!!..... childhood memories......thanks!!!!)

  • Before he was Elrond or Mr.Smith .. he was a dopy mech pilot :p

  • @WangDugay Hugo Weaving isn't in this movie. This is Gary Graham.

  • this movie takes me back to when nothing else mattered.

  • @avor Brings back so many memories.

  • @avor Same here... This was the stuff

  • Would be pretty sick to see this remade with today's technology. I remember watching this as a kid, my brother and I used to emulate the fights. XD Great upload!

  • @underthenorthernstar - they have. Transformers. Problem is, it gets well hectic, so fast, cant see much. this was simple fighting. classic

  • Power rangers with balls

  • haha love this film, can't get enough of huge robots fighting each other!

  • 3:52 = IT'S CLOBBERIN' TIME!

  • Why don't they make the whole robot out of whatever that glass is made out of? Oh right.

  • after this was made those mech models were destroyed with firecrackers

  • Shit happens

  • Blacktron vs. Space Police

  • The legs, you have to take out the legs.

  • doent look as good as it did when i was young thought it was amazing back then

  • Man, i always thought i was going to see one of these when i was a kid..

  • Man I remember watching this movie SO many times when I was a kid...

  • why aren't there more giant robot movies. it's like the closer we get to actual giant robots the less they show up in movies. it's lunacy i say!

  • @Funwithfire90 yeah its like the better cgi capability we have, the less they put it to good use. closest I'd seen to a good mech is the one at the end of district 7

  • Great movie, loved this when I was a kid :)

  • For all of you mentioning Real Steel - no. Fuck no. Real Steel is not even close to Robot Jox. I just watched Real Steel in IMAX. It was, at its best parts, mediocre. I'd rather pay to see Robot Jox in theaters again than to watch Rock'em Sock'em Steel. At least in Robot Jox they had the balls to fight inside the robots.

  • this used to be the most awesome film in my first 10 years of life !!

  • I think anybody could foresee having a live audience for that shit was a bad idea.

  • @ryanell666 Badass song!

  • Read the book when it came out . The movie was pretty much identicle. I am currently building a giant killer robot. Check him out on my vids

  • Why? WHYYYYY? How could Trent Reznor profit from recording (6:29 to 6:33, looped:awsome!) this terrible tragedy and putting it in one of his songs? AHHHhhh!!! Several people were killed in this horrific accident!! Including a stuffed future-teddybear! OH! THE HORROR!! OH! THE HUMANITY!!....of this movie!

  • Attention Trans-World Entertainment/Empire Pictures; Notice of Trademark and/or Copyright infringement in movie titled "Robot Jox" ; Article 61 of the 1994 Agreement on Trade-Related Aspects of Intellectual Property Rights deems necessary criminal proceedings be filed on behalf of Marvel Enterprises for stealing the phrase "...it's Clobberin' Time!". Preceding phrase is only entitled to "The Thing", owned in whole by Marvel Enterprises. Oh.....and Robot Jox is absolutely TERRIBLE...but fun.

  • Took me forever to find this on DVD

  • I love the old school stop-motion/miniature effects. They don't make'em like this anymore!

  • THIS is how you make a giant robot movie. Michael Bay should've studied this flick before making those piece-of-sh*t Transformers movies.

  • @TralphazQ You gotta be kidding me, these robots doesn't have much mobility compare to Bay's Transformers which can do human like movements and poses.

  • Moral of the story, fist hitting bleachers better than entire body falling on bleachers. Next time, skip the heroics.

  • My first introduction to mechs...good times.

  • hahahahaha i was 5yrs old back then ^_^

  • No one I ask remembers this movie. It was/is epic. I wish I could get it on dvd.

  • @youframedroger -- Robot Jox is available on DVD, you should be able to get it @ Amazon or anywhere that has a decent sci-fi section. I got mine at an F.Y.E. store about a year ago for ten bucks. Great movie!

  • what can i say EPIC

  • Man i would kill for them to make a full length Mechwarrior movie

  • @KeithWasHere1 Aff!

  • @tmafkap is that German or Italian? lol

  • @KeithWasHere1 It's from BattleTech, Claners only say "Aff!", cuz "Affermative!" is too long during battle. :0)

  • @tmafkap lol cool.

  • @KeithWasHere1 This IS a full lenght mechwarrior movie. Sadly it's old, so there's no CGI and you have to look past a lot of fun stuff to enjoy the mechs.

  • @Sagramorbald yeah i remember seeing this on HBO and renting on vhs when i was about 11-13,i still think its a great movie..and if it does have CGI its probably earliy infantcy CGI (like in the original tron movie) but i was thinking of more of a full out Mechwarrior:Battle in the 31st century" movie Warhammer, Orion, Summoner (Thor), Catapult, Marauder, Axman, Timber Wolf (Mad Cat), Archer, Hellbringer (Loki), and Mad Dog (Vulture) and Hellbringer mechs.

  • @KeithWasHere1 Why Don't They!!!

  • @mrthebillman no one remembers it or everyones lost interest in it....man mechwarrior used to be the shit back in 97-99..perhaps 2000.(warrior 3 was awesome) me and my friends would rig up DIY projectors all kinds of shit...spent hours customizing our mechs (this has too much weight this has too much heat 6 Plasma PPC'S will blow your mech up upon the first firing!,no matter how many heat-sinks you have!)..i miss thos days, wow doesnt have the same fell.and i hate turn based combat!

  • it makes me so happy to see even a single scene from this movie.. I had forgotten what it was called, but remembered this fight vividly from my childhood. its movies like this that makes me happy to be a mid 80's child. so that I could be old enough to remember stuff like this.

  • @Drummrr its a classic. my favorite scene is when they are at the old movie theatre and says something like "Puppet Masters 19" or something like that

  • I'm still waiting to be able to do this, and I still want to.

  • Best event organization ever!!! Kkkk

  • oh jesus I remember this movie when I was just a kid

  • @cpufightclub same.

  • I know the perfect strategy. Hit the cockpit lmao

  • Ability to make huge advanced robots, TV's they watch them on still

    look like crap!

  • u have to learn the moonwalk to manouver these robots.

  • @thisisrumorcontrol they HAD air filter masks too! gosh, safety freaks these days. :P

  • It must have been "dust mask day" at the arena.

  • who packed the bleachers with C4?

  • Comment removed

  • yea, a very old movie, i cant remember the name, i only remember few scene, i watched it around age 10+, i think.

  • Brings a new meaning to "Crash and burn"

This is one of my favorite scenes/ movies of all time! :D

  • I think they made this with legos and voltron painted toys! How awesome!

  • Such a badass scene! Great film.

  • Hey, it's a great day out for the family. You get to see the robots fight, wear your protective masks in a toxic environment and if you're really lucky, your kid can catch the robot's fist as it falls on the spectators.

  • Its one thing if they wanna risk getting squashed by a giant robot BUT TO INVITE THE KIDS??

  • hugh jackman watched this vid to prepare for his Reel Steel movie hehe

  • What made people think these bleachers were a good idea??

  • @viscountalpha You know, you'd think with such a futuristic concept that they would've learned by then and made sure the people watching would be SAFER than that. And where were all the cars and vehicles? and surely the people in the robots would be more protected than that and surely the referr would've stopped the match or not allowed the robot to crush and possibly kill him, that's what the ref is for, to make the count!

  • they couldnt of used forced perspective like supersentai/powerrangers used

  • This has probably been said, but whatever.... IT'S CLOBBERIN' TIME!

  • These robots looked so cool back when i was a kid...nowadays they look...slow but still AWSOME!: D

  • "All personnel, clear the bay, except you dozen or so guys in black or red...."

  • not the teddy!!!

  • This movie was so awesome when I was a kid. They need to reboot this with some good CGI.

  • @thegreatcyke4ever imdb.com/video/imdb/vi3446840601/

  • @drifter4o4 I checked it out, thanks for the link, but in my opinion that movie fails if it intends to be a serious contender to robot jox.

It's done by Steven Spielberg and just watching Real Steel trailer the movie is too much of a kiddy movie for me. Spielberg loves doing these type of movies and it pisses me off. Down on the luck type of guy,has his kid, meet robot/slash alien they form bond and save the world. Done and done.

  • when i saw this movie when i was a kid, only thing to compare it to was tron, terminator and robocop. God the good old days.

I must of watched this moive 109802983 times so cheezy its epic

  • Wow. I completely forgot about this movie. It seems so much more cheezy than when I was a kid.

  • Wow, my first thought was "Surely those plates are made out of some futuristic super-strong bendy glass or ...No, huh?"

    Still safer than NASCAR

  • Wait...wouldn't a rocket fist be considered a "long range weapon"????

  • @paintball626 Hence the debate at the trial in the next scene. They try to make that case. But it's irrelevant.

  • somebody should remake this film

  • @googizle They did. It is called Robot Wars Full Moon

  • @googizle, go watch "Real Steel" in theater on November 10th it's similar.

  • @googizle it's not an exact attempt of a remake to this movie, but Real Steel promises to be awesome.

  • @googizle

    MechWarrior

  • @googizle i agree. in the meantime, let's enjoy Real Steel.

  • @googizle it's called real steel

  • @googizle They did "Real Steel" what a rip

  • @googizle what, real steel you mean?

  • @thisisrumorcontrol Ok... so the robot fists takes out a few rows..... OR.... I could jump up in front of it, and murder EVERYONE! Decisions.... decisions....

  • I saw clips of this as a kid, and thought I was watching TRON for years....

  • Such an awesome film.

  • hahaha......

  • @thisisrumorcontrol Actually, all these people signed a waiver, I'm sure you might be aware of that. They knew the risks. Even death. So, all is good again XD they were all poor anyway

  • well on the bright side im sure they all got a refund

  • 6:32 - Did I do that? AWKWARD!!! *crowd breaks out in laughter*

Oh, Achilles, what are we going to do with you?!

  • @thisisrumorcontrol Hmm...I GUESS I can see what you're saying...point taken: we'll remove the glass!

  • @joeyheadset what the fuck where they doing there in the first place? was shit falling down on them so farfetched?

  • @Discipol This very reasonable point was addressed in the screenplay for Robot Jox II, in which a class action suit was filed against the robot fighting league by victims of robot crushings. Eventually the judge throws the suit out of court, stating in his legal opinion "WTF did you idiots think was gonna happen?" Sadly, Robot Jox II was never filmed :(

  • this concept = win

  • the movie Transformers wishes it were

  • 4:10 Promotion for 3M company.

  • Betcha can't spot the actor who played Weyoun from DS9 in this clip!

  • @Orcinus24x5 Jeffrey Combs at 4:50 FTW!!!

  • @Orcinus24x5 You can't spot the actor because he's not in this clip...

  • @billyboyjennings Yes he is. Watch carefully and do your research. He IS in this movie, and he IS in this clip.

  • He's just now learning about the weapons....

  • @OUPackmanJones1 If you watch the whole movie, it explains the reason for not briefing him earlier was to prevent a spy from leaking the information to the Russians. Only two people knew details about the weapons before the fight.

  • This was such a great movie circa 92-95 in the video shop :)

  • CRASH AND BURN

  • oh no! he is using the rocket punch again! I better help the people by getting in the middle and maximising the damag.... wait a minute ¬¬

  • @Pabloide he was trying to stop the punch from hitting the crowd!!

  • @TheGreySea2

I know man, but that was like saving your granny from a mouse, by throwing her down the stairs xD

  • They had a SARS outbreak?

  • The best fight of mechwarriors is on this movie :)-

  • the robot fighting business is riddled with Spies!!!!!

  • 4:28 is that a kiddie Alfred Molina? Sure looks like him.

  • reminds me of Real Steel.

  • REMAKE REMAKE!!! with todays tech this could be fantastic lol

  • Bullshit, we went to watch Rambo II and stuff like that.

  • BUT WHY IS IT THAT NO ONE TOLD ME ABOUT THIS MOVIE?

  • @D000242

Because your dad didn't let you watch it when you were 5?

  • Oh my good I remember this shit when I was little. Now I know what the movie is called.

  • mechwarrior annihilator vs mad cat

  • the way they control the robots makes more sense that Evangelion

  • @horaciosi not really since evas were living creatures

  • austin powers lunar base ?

  • Oh - My - God! O . O I haven't seen this since I was 4! I totally LOVE this movie! Yeah, sure, now I can clearly see all the motion animation and what not, but I still find it awesome! :D Thanks for uploading this! xD

  • wut

  • This is great. I created a montage called Robot/Machine montage. I encourage anyone to watch it and welcome any feedback. Good work.

  • Stop motion animation FTW!!

  • WHY HAVENT I HEARD OF THIS MOVIE

  • I spent 15 years to find this

  • "Oh no, that flying fist might hurt someone, best go crush hundred of people to death."

  • Trent digs it, good enough for me.

  • they need to remake this movie.... would be epic

  • you know, I was born in 86, pretty sure I saw this movie as a kid and remember this scene. I too am sure I was disturbed by this as well, what I realize now some 20 years later that the scene at the end is still just as disturbing. Seeing this and the kids on the playground in Terminator 2 blowing up from the nuke going off had a big impact as a child. But the cheezyness of this b grade type of production makes it that much more bizarre to witness people getting squashed by a robot :-\

  • Ooh, I WANT one!!!

  • 3:51 IT'S CLOBBERING TIME!!!

  • @Sanref reminds me of Jim Ross from the WWF

  • does anyone think if this was remade, WELL, with Transformers quality effects and outstanding actors/actresses, todays society could appreciate it? I know i'd go see it but theres a great chance a lot of people haven't.

  • @docstruthers Without a doubt. I often wondered that myself.

  • mann, das ist ja ewig her...

  • I was rooting for the black robot ;(

  • sony tv eh...

  • oh Jesus i miss these giant mech suit movies T_T

  • I can see where the great creative futuristics ideas of today's transsformers came from =)

  • Gary Graham is the man.

  • This movie was awesome! If they need to do a remake, this would be it! Can you imagine how a remake would look if it was done right!

  • @thesadman5000 - think it would be better than TRON??

  • @124reppin I really can't compare the two. I was never a Tron fan.

  • Well, ya'll wanted the front row...

  • man i love this movie

  • I can't wate to see Evangelion 2.0.Well they are not robots but giant armor plated clones of Adam and Lilith.Check out that one video when the Angel attacks it fires some god like power and lifts 10 destoryers hundreds of feet into the sky on crusifxes!Makes Avatar and Transformers look like walt disney. That story is so deep.Hollywood has no clue.

  • @AmanoJyaku71 would be insane if cameron or bay did an evangelion movie here in the states, story would fly over too many peoples heads though if they went with the end of evangelion ending.

  • @FormerlyKnownAsShun if by insane you mean "terrible" and by "fly over" you mean "bore people who aren't fan boys/girls with zero social skills" you are absolutely right.

  • Comment removed

  • Comment removed

  • @valakin Actually by insane I meant "entertaining" - and by "fly over" I meant people who didn't closely follow the original anime put out by GAINAX. You obviously didn't enjoy evangelion if your approaching my comment with such cynicism, and to insist that people who watch anime or "fanboys/girls" have zero social skills is just plain ignorant. Go watch more CSI if that's more your speed. *yawn*

  • It's unfortunate that Joe Haldeman wasn't allowed more control of the direction of this film.

  • Less people would have been flattened if he didn't get in the way of the flying fist. Robot pilot FAIL.

  • I thought I'd dreamt this film.

  • This scene disturbed me when I was a kid - with the bot falling and killing people.
