  • Don't take what the doctors spoon feed you about taking Synthroid. So your research and demand to be treated with dessicated thyroid. I have had Synthroid and even though I was being "treated" I still felt the same adverse symptoms as when before treatment. Definitely demand to see an endocrinologist.

  • I'm a 22 yr old female and I was just diagnosed with hypothyroidism yesterday..My story is very similar to yours. For the past year and a half I have felt like crap, tired, fatigued, anxious, just really weird feeling, and sometimes even dizzy or shaky feeling. So my Dr. sent me to get all kinds of blood work done and sure enough the only thing wrong is my underactive thyroid:/. The Dr. prescribed me Synthroid as well. How did/does it work for you? Any improvement in the way you feel?

  • It's not only your health but the environment and toxins youre surrounded in.

  • im pretty sure im going through the same thing but its worse because i always lose the deepness in my voice and get the tingles in my head and face and act like a complete idiot and it really sucks being a well known popular guy all through highschool. on the back right of my head i have a huge callaic kinda like urs but when my head tingles it gets really big its weird. goodluck people dont know how bad it sucks going through this crap

  • look into multi-mineral suppliments and iodine!!! and Vitamin D. for starts...

  • don't take the synthetics... go natural!

search the video "Hypothyroidism: How to assess and Correct it" and others...

they point out some very basic deficiencies to correct first. don't be discouraged. work with your body, don't just pump some bullshit pharmaceuticals. at least start natural and see what you can do. we evolved for millions of years around the natural world and so our body responds best to it. sometimes drugs are helpful but should never be the first resort! best wishes! : )

  • Wow it seems as though you are describing the exact symptoms I've had for about 2 years too. I too was very athletic in high school, but now I feel about 80 y/o (I'm 22), always tired etc. Haven't been to the doctor yet (my bad), but I wonder if this could be what I have too. Also, how are you now? I noticed this video was made about half a year ago. Did the medication work, or are you still suffering?

  • synthroid only has t4 in it as i said before that this is the docs first pic . it does not fix the problem. its like having an infection and a fever, you take fever reducer but nothing for the infection. the fever goes down. but you still have infection. see were im going, your thyroid is hypo for a reason. you could have an immune system that is attacking your thyroid . it could be anything please get tested. by an endocrine doc. dont just settle for a simple blood test and t4 supplements.

  • hey bud ill give you some good news lol i have had hypo for years and did not know what the heck was going on. ive done my research..... look into iodide, this is one part of the hormone that the thyroid makes. the further away from the ocean we live the more depleted our iodide gets, without this the thyroid cannot make t4 t3 ot do much of anything. please see an endocrine doc to get indepth testing to find the real culprit for low thyroid. plus you need t4 and t3, synthroid is docs 1 pic

  • Hey buddy,

Im 22, almost 23, and I was told today that I also have Hypothyroidism. I am going to take my first synthroid pill tomorrow. You are the only other guy I've found with this same problem. So its nice seeing another young guy with the same problem. I really hope everything works out for you. Good luck, bro.
