yalls story is similar to mine, however im 16 and not married. ive been with my love for a year and 8months. he went away to basic training all summer last summer, and is going away again this summer. it was hard but we got so close, we only talked through writing letters and MAYBE a phone call on sundays. i kept all letters and we have taken things so slow. i like going slow. i know hes the one for me, even though i had a few doubts. yall are amazing role models for an amazing relationship <3

I agree with you's there it is "really important for relationships to have time where you are physically not together" (As said in your words.) My boyfriend and i live 6 hours away from each other. @SimpleLu09 Latter-day Saint spouses should do all within their power to preserve their marriages, but in cases of abuse or unrepentant cheating, divorce is acceptable. Basically, if it gets bad, we talk to our Bishops and try to save the marriage. Obviously, that doesn't always work!

Mormons who marry in the Temple have a much lower divorce rate than other people. It is around 6% compared to 50% of non-LDS marriages. Hope this helped! : )
