in arizona as a teen i had so many of these cute lil buggers as pets.. some i let go and never had a problem with them dying, mine ate termites and ants a plenty.. they were my best friends! you never seem to see any anymore but about 15 years back they were very plentiful, its a shame really as they are such little characters
man i tryed to sell one to my local pet shop and they said no because there almost impossible to keep alive wtf i had mine for 3 years and still own it
lol we saw one at our school today and my friend picked it up by the tail and pretended to throw it at one of the boys and he screamed like a girl he was like "aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!"
When I was a kid my sister and I would wonder out into the desert and find them. I remember them being pretty easy to find as well. Quite interesting creatures. Oh, and that was in Texas.
There used to be a place that had em here in marlton nj, never seen them any place else. They are hard to find, but also very hard to keep. Eveyone I tried to keep in NJ died for lack of red harvester ants, when I lived in Texas I caught wild harvester ants and the lizard thrived.
lol kingdom hearts XD not what i was expecting to hear. I was trying to find a clip of them squirting blood. I know they do it rarely, but i still wanted to see << I remember getting shot in the face once when I was little, and i found one in the school yard XD
So they captive breed horny toads where you arE? that's cool. I've never seen them in pet stores here.
They rarely squirt blood from their eyes. They have to feel very threatened, even wild ones. Mine is nice and tame and friendly since he is captive bred.
