Hence, why you can start learning to play most instruments from elementary school and up. Producing/Composing is an entirely different animal though, and in many ways can't be exactly "taught" in the same light as teaching an instrument. But try telling that to a music snob with nothing else better do in life but to act like an elitist.

As they say.. mastering a skill should take about 10,000 hours of practice. "Good music" is pretty much a relative term. What one may consider good, another may consider it crap and vice versa lol. If there's people outside of your inner-circle that think it's good.. chances are.. it's good.
