Benimaru is freaking AWESOME in this game. I can't express how fun he is to play. His combos are great and this is the best he's ever been. They forgot to mention his drill kick.

His EX Lancer is great for set ups. Great kick pokes and tools to get an opponent away or off of him. I have to say his rolling thunder is very unsafe and I don't like using it.. Someone on wake up could retaliate right after the move especially if you miss.

Benimaru is a nice, strong character, with most of his moves (excluding the grab) being Drive Cancellable and such. The only thing I see wrong about Benimaru is that both his DM's have short range AND short hit detection which could be a disadvantage depending on how you use him.

@gods12345 He doesn't have that here. It kinda got replaced with summoning lightning to his body (Benimaru Lancer).

Probably a good thing, as Lancer's EX is homing lightning, very useful for his enemey control. EX Shinkuu Katategoma probably woulda just been... a lot of hits.

Perhaps it'll return in the future, though!

I'm sorry to bring up discussion about what people like, or want, or stuff... it's easy to trun into a flame war.

But now that you said, if he had his Shinkuu Katategoma, the EX version could do something like pulling the enemy in with a vacuum (maybe only at a short/middle range). That way, it'd be a nice surprise move, and maybe make some combos easier.

@ProbeNexus Haha, it's not a problem or anything. An EX could have been interesting, sure, but high-hit moves generally scale combo damage a lot in this game, which makes them poor matches for the games systems. A single, semi-high damage hit that vaccum'd in for DM juggles could have been cool, as you mention.

I'm happy to see Beni get something "new" after all these years, though. EX Lancer -> Full Screen Neomax is a nice punish for a character who's traditionally had blah ranged options.
