@lisaj777 Gold will work. But Black (mayan) is verry different. Even moreso here. My white Copal comes from a good distributor but my Black Copal, Peruvian Frankincense, Peruvian Myrrh and Palo Santo all come from the Shipibo tripe of the Peruvian Amazon. Sustainably harvested and hand delivered by a friend of mine who can be seen walking down the street with a large burlap sack.
The fact that I can say all that seems to make a difference.

I notice you use black copal in this incense--I only have golden copal--does that make a difference?

although it wasnt planned out it was really good,
