Moreover, he publicly castigated Clinton for his mind-numbing relaxtion techniques with Lewinsky and in this faux interview intones 'pride commeth before the fall' and 'alot of strange doors open and close in life'. I don't think the people of South Carolina should pay for Gov. Sanford to fly all that way to Argentina to have a mistress. I'm sure there are plenty of intelligent, beautiful women in South Carolina. Why shouldn't politicians cut back on their expenses, just like everybody else in America, especially in this economy?

He is a great governor who has worked hard for South Carolina, against much opposition. Yet, we must remember that he is human, capable of making mistakes. Though he needed to take some time out, I have confidence that he is capable of finishing his term. I hope there will be no resignation. I pray for the governor and his family. And I am a liberal in South Carolina.
