I watched this video out of frustration of beeing raped by Ibuki's vortex too many times... and feel relieved now. Thank you very much, I hope I can see the steps Ibuki takes after a knockdown, which seems to be the key (I main Adon btw).
@MajorKoenig steps, timing and arch of the jump is key if u are able to notice those then u will find the ibuki match a whole lot easier also always keep in mind all adons moves will be beat by the vortex since he has no escape move or something to interrupt it like some other characters so always try your best to block
the problem with this is the steps have nothing to do with it the only thing that matters is were the kunai hits relative to where ibuki is above your enemy takeing steps is simply a timing thing
@breadpops uhhh ya and to achieve that space were you cross up you ether step or super jump as said in the video.... but if you wanna just randomly jump whenever to do your vortex its whatever o.o
if ur getting super its probably cuz ur doing super jump, then quarter-circle forward punch.
the proper input is quarter circle forward, upforward, *slight pause* punch.
basically by doing quarter circle forward, upforward u are doing the inputs for both the super jump and the kunai. if ur doing those inputs clean u won't ever get a super.
@itzAcosta go from downback directly to upforward if you input a tiger knee motion (down downforward forward upforwards) and then throw a kunai (down downforwards forwards) what its doing is counting the motion you did for your super jump as a buffer for the super (super motion = jump 2x down downforwards forwards) so pressing downback to upforwards will prevent you from buffering the super and your normal kunai will come out instead :P hopefully this helps you ^^
Whats the best way to practice this in training mode- like how should I set my training dummy to be able to practice the vortex. Or is the default setup ok?
@werdzzz12345 set your training dummy to record and do neckbreaker then the vortex then set it to playback
if you block the kunai blocking forwards you did it right now practice faking it out if you blocked the kunai holding backwards you did it right :] hope that helps :D
Good vid man, as an ibuki main I learned something from this. For all other ibuki players remember not to rely only on vortex, gotta mix it up a little bit :)
this should be taken down no 1 needs to know how to block this :3

Very informative vid, mind giving up a name or a link to this remix? It's extremely good.

thats why i hate 4 cause in 3s ibuki was much more than a gimmick vortex char.
She had so much more. That game needs to go away and never return unless they remake it like on a kof 13 engine or a cps3 engine.
mauricelee77 6 months ago
@mauricelee77 even though gimmicks help ibuki alot... ibuki can win a match without them o.o

@itzAcosta no problem :] glad i could help :D
