i bought the tank pack which comes with an upgraded flamethrower, but yea its still pretty weak and useless so i still got my upgraded line gun and force gun
I'm going on a second playthrough right now so my weapons are all uprgraded a lot and the flamethrower still goes through all its fuel without killing much. It doesn't dismember quickly, which is what you need. I think the pulse rifle is awesome, especially upgraded fully. It dismembers without using much ammo.I haven't really tried the ripper much yet, so I'm going with pulse rifle.

i always thought the aiming in this game was great. it gets hard when youre being dragged by the tentacle, THEN its hard as hell. im doing impossible to man, thats why i carry 60% health packs, and only about 10% ammo for each weapon, cuz those bastards just tear you to shreds. thats why at this stage in the game, i keep my lineup of weapons as Plasma Cutter, Pulse Rifle, Ripper, and contact Beam. one for precision cutting, 1 for a wall of necros, 1 for general purpose, and 1 for the tough guys

i think that pulse rifle is probably the most useful versatile weapon in the game. the flamethrower just doesnt deal enough damage for how much ammo it consumes and how scare that particular ammo IS.
the plasma cutter is super strong if you totally upgrade believe it or not. not only is it ultra acurate but the single shot it fires is very powerful. the basic version of it takes off a limb wiht 1 shot, then add on a bunch of extra damage and you can freeze brutes, and surgically remove there limbs in under 10 seconds (seriously, i think theres a vid on youtbe of that happening). ive beaten it with the plasma cutter to. its a great gun.
i gotta agree with this dude, as ive said b4 the plasma cutter is the best if youre skill with it and fully pimped it is the second most damaging wepon dealing 12 pts which is only topped off by force gun dealing 150 pts when pimped, personally ive not upgraded anything ingame aside of my plasma cutter, force gun and rifle, and those are the 3 guns i used, i made money by selling ripper blades, which seem to come off everything, almost, btw the military suit looks AWESUM!!!!
thats another one i love. the ripper. its just awesome. if you carry more medpacks then ammo like i do, the fact that 1 single blade is capable of clearing entire rooms if you move fast. the trick is to go straight for the legs, when they fall, their arm usually falls onto the blade killing them, and then you simply move onto the next necro, repeating the process, taking off a leg results in them falling onto the blade. with a lot of duration upgrades its possible to kill around 8-10 necros
funny lol to be honest i carried like 2 medpacks thru the entire game and at some stage after the first boss i had none for god knows how long surviving on my instincs and icecold beer, the only time i had more than 3 was with the part where u need to go use the gun to kill the giant thing, before you leave the room lock and a fuckload of necros come outta nowhere and thats when i died so i loaded back got my med packs out and done it, using only one small and one large XD, so yea,
same here, as ive done with RE series by doing it only with handguns and knives ive clocked this game purely with plasma cutter second time ive played it just to test my skill and its not hard, simply pimp it to max and use the rest of money for suit upgrades, the plasma cutter is the best 5 stars for this game absolutely ownage
Plasma cutter is my favorite, especially when there is a plasma cutter trophy.
