Joan, I had a border collie who was also obsessed with the water hose! She would swallow gallons of water trying to "kill" the thing. lol They are SMART dogs, but kind of odd. ;)
I'm betting that dog has had a go at a water hose that was running water before!
Well my thoughts are either 1) he's playing, 2) he's thirsty, 3) he's practicing for when really is a snake, and 4) I'm glad somehow didn't get or wasn't "stuck" in the dog :-D ... But no, I don't think this this dog really believes the hose is anything but a hose... This does kinda look snakelike though, so I could see how that might happen though...

Animals are so funny. Go get that snake Bandit! I like a dog with a nose for a hose.
