I'm one of those "old folks" who saw the Beatles the first time they played on the Ed Sullivan show. I'm a musician who's been into Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Jane's Addiction, Jimi Hendrix, Nirvana, King Crimson, System of a Down, etc., but the Beatles are still my biggest influence. Whether you think of them as rock or pop or both, I still hear their influence in today's music. I've even heard their samples in some rap songs. They had some kind of "magic" that's hard to define.
