I have a RA110, with 2x 20mm bands, can't miss with it, I then got a RA140 with 2 x 20mm bands and could not hit a frigging barn in daylight, I must have missed 20 nice fish on 1 dive in Mozambique.

your missing fish because your putting to fat slings man, put two 16mm and you will see you will get more distance and accuary.

Nope, there is no getting used to it. 2x20mm is way too overpowered. Even 2x18 is too much for a Rob Allen. 2x16 gives you plenty of power along with a decent but controllable recoil. Some experienced hunters put 2X14mm on the Rob Allen together with a 7mm or 6.6mm spear.

well I've used a RA 140cm and a 110 cm with "factory" bands and they are just geat that way for me. Don't know about changing to shorter or thicker rubbers.
