  • OMG. Porkey said Bitch. *SHOCK*

  • hahahahahahahaha

  • This is too cool! It is so amazing to see those old black-and-white-always-perfect-actors break down in laughter in the middle of serious/love scenes!

Also, I love the "You been getting any lately?" bit at 1:54 - you are so used to movies of that date being all censored etc, so it was really fun to be able to actually see the actors being 'normal/out of character' and laughing at something like that :)

  • Bette Davis RULES!!!

  • Hearing Jimmy Stewart say "son of a bitch!" totally made my week.

  • @MissGoldenDreams13

    You and me both!

  • I love this! Bette Davis sure had a bad mouth :)...and Ronald Reagan is just adorable ;)

  • PETER LORRE!

  • Reagon couldn't even put on a pair of pants. Kinda sums up his Presidency!

  • @V2impeach HELL NOO! NO WAY! NOT EVEN! Take your political shit elsewhere. It's not welcome on this channel!! Neither are you ..political goon critics .. exit side stage right!

  • :37 them gangsters sure did dress well

  • It's so amazingly amusing to see these bloopers, to see legends like Jimmy or Bette or Bogart to swear or to forget their lines, thank you for sharing the video!

  • Comment removed

  • @frdirector I think the woman is Eve Arden. And yes, that's Ronald Reagan.

  • I enjoyed the bloopers!

  • That word coming from Peter Lorre's mouth? unexpected but funny!

  • "You been getting any lately?" "Overtime you mean?" hahaha

  • Bette Davis and Walter Abel as Empress Carlotta and Richard Metternich in JUAREZ; Jimmy Cagney in TORRID ZONE; Jimmy Stewart and Rosalind Russell in NO TIME FOR COMEDY; Ronald Reagan in THE VOICE OF THE TURTLE.

    "Overtime, you mean?"

    LOLOLOLOL!!!

  • What is that guy in the hat saying at 0:44. It's silenced and I can't read lips, does he say Fucking shit?

  • That's John Garfield and I think he is, indeed, saying that.

  • It is funny considering grown ups are always telling kids "We never used to use such language in my day!" ;)

  • Cant figure out the girl with Gary Coop.

  • Patricia Neal from "Fountainhead".

  • its rosalind russell

  • Cagney busting the door = hilarious

  • 0:30 Is that William Powell?

  • I believe the actor who's speaking is Reginald Gardiner.

  • It s not Bill Powell for sure but cant tell who s the guy.

  • @UofLCardFan08 Reginald Gardiner in THE MAN WHO CAME TO DINNER

  • Back in those days actors frequently spoke their lines in a stagy rapid fire rhythm. It was the style of acting back then; it wasn't realistic but it was entertaining. You saw it a lot in gangster or war pictures and any movie that had a reporter in it. Gangster and reporters and soldiers spoke a mile a minute. But it showed up other places too; in "The Women", the high society dames speak in that same theatricial, artificial way. That was acting back then.

  • @cynthiacher Yes, it essentially came down to style rather than poor acting. Styles change over time.

  • Ronald reagan and Jimmy Stewart swearing, is nothing sacred? lol

  • "you've been getting any lately?"

    Is it Eve Arden? hilarious!

  • @SatineCharm yes

  • Ronald Regan never lost his humor, even when he was president of the US he was very known for his amazing sense of humor.

  • Holy MACRO!!

  • 1:14 ! My goodness... ;)

  • a funny old video!!!

  • funny video lets chat

    this video was good eY

  • Coming out of Jimmy Stewarts mouth? WOW! It was very cute.

ronal reagan "overtime you mean" lol

  • Jimmy Stewart saying son of a bitch, too funny!

  • haha i know i love when nice guys swear but nicely if that makes sense.....what movie is that?

  • I don't know, but I love these old 30s and 40s movies.

  • That was hysterical! It's nice to know classic stars had bloopers, too :D

  • "nuts" was big back then.. lets bring it back, shall we?

  • kmilac - I still say "nuts!"

    Jay

  • I agree... I think I might have to do that...

  • @kmilacl101 It's bean a regular part of my slang for years... probably a lot of people think I'm being crude, though, if they don't watch older films or know the slang. But that's the trouble with interesting or different words and phrases... people don't expect them, people will go on getting them wrong. The number of times I've come into a room and said, "Hello, you!" and had someone reply, "Fine, thanks!"

  • porkys cuss was brilliant

  • :O

    Porky cussed! lol

  • Oh god, you got to love Bloopers! Roz was so funny, she couldn't keep a straight face LOL

  • I love these Bloopers !!!

  • "Dear God help me!" Bette's priceless!

  • i can't quite get what she said. What did she say? the complete one...

  • "I'm caught on his.. *word that sounds like coat-not sure :P, i'm not a native english speaker*"

  • is the word bullow? I'm not english nor american, too!

  • YES! It's Bullow! I played it over and over again! And a bullow is sort of a crest... a badge of some sort!

  • Smart! Mystery solved :D

  • Lol what?! Bullow?! She says buttonhole, it's very clear :-p

  • I researched about it... Hahaha! I guess the point it... she got caught!

  • Prilpril -- As far as I can make out, Bette said, "Dear God, help me - I'm caught on his coat button."

Having heard James Stewart in a few interviews I'm actually not surprised at his "son of a bitch" remark... he could get pretty salty when frustrated

  • I have actually no idea. . . she has short hair, but she gets caught somewhere. Hahaha!

  • I adore Jimmy and it was SO cute! XD

  • "you thought i was gonna say son of a bitch didn't ya!" lol.

  • jimmy stewart he said son of bitch someday take that and record it for history.

  • 2:14 - is that from "The Beast with Five Fingers?"

  • So good!

  • was that cary grant who said nuts at 1:40? Cagney broke the blinds, what a tough guy.

  • That was Gary Cooper yelling nuts at 1:40. Right before the scene ends, I think he almost does look like Cary Grant, though, with the little light that's on his face from the right side, along with the cleft chin.

And didn't Cagney get a lil carried away there? -- talk about "bein' real" -- hehe.

  • Bette Davis in "Juarez" 1:18

  • "I got a pretty good idea, I just can't think of the goddamn line!"

  • The movie clip that starts at 1:39 is The Fountainhead, starring Gary Cooper and Patricia Neal.

  • ahahaha Jimmy Stewart at 1:06 :D

    "son of a bitch"

  • Boy, at :47 sec John Garfield had a foul mouth, didn't he? "Sacrifice somebody...oh shit." He looked like he was going to say another word instead.

  • I watched all this stuff in the early seventies and brought the idea to then ceo of WB John Calley. He loved the idea. Then I get a call from the studio's lawyer Larry Marks telling me all the reasons why it couldn't be done and made me feel like a real jackass for even submitting such a stupid idea. Two years later while I was at Disney Dick Clark's "Foul-Ups, Bleeps & Blunders" primeres on TV guess who the executive producer for that show was? Larry you #@%^in bastard.

  • "you been getting any lately?" lol

  • "Oh, I'm fine, you been getting any lately?" hahaha! That's great! They had such dirty minds back then! ;) ... I love how people used to say "NUTS!"... that one of Peter Lorre was really amusing! :)
