  • Philadelphia Spectrum 1984, seemed like the least I could do....

  • Hey I'm 51 1/2 and I have lived a good life but the women I've been with have opinions that differ than mine. I may be going to hell in a bucket but I am going to enjoy the ride.

  • March 24, 1995 was my last Dead show in Charlotte NC. The guys were in great form. They sung The Last Time. How fitting that would be the last Grateful Dead show I would see. In that show they had a great version of Eyes Of The World. The whole show was killer. I miss the joy and connection to other people that a Dead show brings. R.I.P. Jerry. You knew the way and one day we will all come home to join you.

  • Jerry's sound is a bit diffrent...sounds a little like an acoustic

  • Enjoying the ride, tho i miss them all..,..RIP Jerry, RIP Brent

  • epic song! miss ya all being in Wentzville, was good times!

  • buckeye 92 was my first show thanks to my husband. he turned me on and ive never turned off. the music will always be the best and so will the memories. RIP dear friends lost. RIP jerry. RIP my dear husband. i will miss you always.

  • Elegant pie? hehe

  • This is the last time I say the boys... Sunday in Vegas. What a night, I can still feel that warm breeze blowing. I miss you Jerry.

  • Can hardly hear Garcia.

  • @Lisica2008 It was more of a Bob tune though.lol

  • I love Jerry in Shorts!

  • No, I believe it was Traffic (w/ Steve Winwood) that opened that evening.

  • i can remember bobby singing this like it was yesterday. i can remember what i was wearing, who i was with...good times.

  • New US National Anthem? ;)

  • Sweet

  • Nice construction on this vid!!!

  • i went most of the dead shows on the east coast

  • @craig4419 how about sharing a memory? or do you want a medal of some sort?

  • This is a really hot show for '94, other than some lyrical problems w/ the So Many Roads, Jerry is on fire with the ax. Loved the sound of that guitar he started using in late '93. Real clean sounding. Great upload here -- really brings back great memories. This era gets dogged, but I love this more "modern" sound, especially on good nights like this one. Makes me want to go find this show in my collection and blare it on the stereo!

  • @Sokulski10 Yep!!!

  • @Sokulski10

ya, I was at this show. It was a very hot show and staff were hosing down the heads. my cousin and I had to hitch back tot he strip cas my other cousin car blew a hose in the heat on the way over there, and ended up dealing with it. ended give away a miracle ticket to some young man cas of it. great times!

  • This was an amazing weekend for music and fun! Great memories!

  • This song was playing on the radio when I was suiting up for my first ever skydive. Needless to say, this one stuck in my head. :-)

  • RIP Jerry August 9, 1995 To the world you are one, to the music world you will never be matched. You were taken from us way too young.

  • just a great song. Man, I miss this configuration! Glad I got to see them with this cast. Music just doesn't seem the same these days...I know I am sounding old but this stuff just kicks some major ass.

  • i always start out my day with a nice heady toke while jammin to the dead. nothin better

  • @pooplaschwag you mean with the dead :) PEACE

  • My personal anthem for the 80s!

  • Fucking Bobby! Did he have a wind machine on his hair, or what?!

  • 11 people have their head up their asses

  • Was at this show, I remember the sound system cut out for half of Morning Dew, but the band played on...

  • Absolutely love the Greatful Dead... don't get me wrong...

  • seen em 8 times the best

  • I have been asked a hundred thousand times by the young, "What was it about The Dead?"

Now that I am really old I answer simply and to the point:

"Your premise is incorrect. The Dead is."

  • certainly one of the best bands ever if not theeee best....there was nuthin like a dead show.wow thanx fellas &D.G.

  • The way Jerry plays a guitar brings a tear to my eye!!!

  • @justpassnthru I feel the same way.

  • live from las vegas....for francis xavier eckhardt

  • i love the Dead, really makes me miss a great friend i lost last year. God bless you Mikey, you are loved and missed. Your spirit is still felt by all of us. See you in heaven my friend, I love you!

  • I never did get to see them in Vegas !

  • Awesome song

  • Still enjoying the ride........

  • That chica looks like she is enjoying the ride!

  • When I'm in a bad mood, I just listen to stuff like this. At times like this, it reminds how small my worries are in the grander picture of life.

  • @shishimore the dead is great for that.

  • @shishimore seemed like the least i could do... right on

  • i love how they cut into the retarded graphics right as jerry gets busy... -_-

  • Got no idea what you're talking about. Was this a best knees contest, or what? Go Jerry and the board shorts lightning guitar. Was that a wind machine in Bobbie's hair?

  • I love this song and vince is better then brent!!!!!

  • @jtgjustin1

show some fucking respect fool, don't compare anyone to Brent if you've got any amount of love

  • No Speedo's please, but at least I'm enjoying the ride

  • The "Bucket" from 7/7/89 was the best one I ever heard. I still get flashbacks from it.

  • go Bobby !!!

  • Hands down the best Bucket ever.

  • @torchredvettex Bummer you never got to see them. If you get the chance check out the current "Further" tour going on right now. It's Bobby, Phil, and assorted company. Just saw the show on June 30th, it was amazing!!

  • Having grown up on the Dead I feel like this is my anthem..LONG LIVE THE DEAD..PEACE

  • @cocoalump Couldnt agree more, both of my folks are huge dead heads and i've been to a few shows my self.

  • who the f..k could give this jam a thumbs down, some people are never happy.. (-;

  • the grateful dead is fuckin sick! i named my dog after the drummer...

  • Totally cool and them some !

  • I love the story of Bob's life. He lived a life of frustration, as a teenager, in the tony city of Atherton, south of San Francisco. He was constantly being kicked out of school and considered dumb and rebellious. He was just dyslexic and nobody knew how to treat it back then, because it wasn't discovered yet.

But now he's enjoying the ride.

Success is the best form of revenge.

  • no phil anywhere on video ?

  • bob you sure can hit them "HIGH" notes!!!! much love to you guys

  • good one for 94. Jerry's guitar tone suffered when he stopped using and amp and mic in 92.

  • @grodinvanbeethoven Direct in? I never knew that.

  • What, YOutube considers this disco?! pfft.

  • this is nothing short of awesome

  • I wish i could travel back in time, and watch this show.

  • Didnt Jerry die in the year 1994 ?

  • @StaleMilk5 Nah '95.

  • @Terror420Corp

    Yeah you're right

  • gd americana or politics or am i afool please explain bob weir

  • Amazing

  • My favorite song by GD

  • i had just turned sixteen, only made it to the parkin lot tho i still had the time of my life!

  • watching this i reminded how Steve Vai has huge fans installed so that his hair looks like the singer's

  • slisten to the music never stopped from this show

  • i know and kurt cobain was fukn elvis, the true king of grunje rock, lol

i hated that place and went over to the island with marilyn monrow and jane mansfield....

    how do you spell grunje?

  • NO,gerry is still alive and well and living in the bahamas!

    he has dreds now!

  • and i saw elvis there suckin' him off. didn't know he was queeer. but who was suckin' who? Who s the true king o the rockkkk an rolllll!@@@@@@!!!!!!!

  • Gives me cold chills to this day, I was about 4 years old and was at this show! hehe was my dads first dead show and my moms 8th.

    :]

FUCKING KILLER VERSION TOO. BETTER THEN ANY OTHER STUDIO, THE ENERGY BOB AND JERRY HAVE HERE IS OUTSTANDING.

    5 stars :)))))

  • Yep, grew up with the Dead in So. Cal in the 60's, and all the trippin that went along with it!

  • my fav song of all time

  • awesome smooth version. love it even though ol' jer not on the top of his game.

  • Cool

  • i love bob weir god, he is so sexy :)

  • i love you jer RIP

  • lyrics, lyrics, lyrics these are some of the best!

  • Back then it was Jer turning into Bob and nowadays it's Bob turning into Jer..... These two have lasted longer together than most marriages I know, including mine!

    What a Team !

  • You know Jerry is gone right?

  • Oh yes, i'm just meaning in terms of years.

    Alas ...

  • @WEIR4EVER /I totally agree with you here, like p-nut butter and grape jam, they were, and don't forget phil and brent and the double drummers!!!

  • God, they are so good in this one, this was my mom and dads 20th dead show together, my 3rd show ever!

God damn I love this song too, such powerfull and true meaning.

  • right on, your parents must love you

  • I'd say so, its great growing up as a kid with dead head parents, while all the highschool kids are smokin pot and drinkin and trippin and whatnot, I could get away with smokin and trippin, and I could be open about it. Thats whats wrong with kids nowa days, they gotta hide their true self from their parents just to have a good time. Damn this is a good tune!

  • @Terror420Corp Yeah parents today are dicks about drugs. Me, dad, grandpa, all deadheads, we toke up all the time.

  • yea man parents suck

  • MIKE WARREN here the best show i've been to out of all the other concerts I went to when JERRY Garcia was alive tripping on some GREEN BLODDER .

  • blotter.

  • one of my favorites <3 i love the rare dead shit

  • Jerry looks so good. I love ya man and miss you so much.

  • sick jam...I caught the dead during the last years. I wanted to hear this jam and they busted it out albany 95...pepsi arena baby. Even the cops were looking for tickets at that show

  • atleast im enjoying the riddeeee...

  • @MarlboroAcid /lmao, even tha cops were lookin for tickets to tha show, fuckin rock on!

  • It took me a while to figure this out, but the double drummers totally anchor their sound from the very beginning. Brent Mydland is always right there with his piano/organ, Phil is tight and on top of every song as usual. Bobby and Jerry are like grape jam, and p-nut butter samich, they compliment each other so well. Only God Almighty could have paired them, as well as all of all the musicians past and present who played with this band. Pigpen, I so miss you brother, you so rocked!!! Wynn

  • another grate hit from the dead. I am a true dead head and ill admit this is a rare song heard form the grateful dead but a grate one. peace to all of my fellow dead heads

  • Jerry could wear a walnut shell and a rubber band and it would still work out awesome.

  • Bob did great in this one.

  • Jerry could wear a speedo and it would work out. Ramble on.

  • This is the first time (as far as i'm aware) that i've heard anything, or at least taken the time to listen to them... It's pretty cool though... not sure what kinda style this is but who cares it sure jams along! And fairly laid back too...

  • too american, what a funny comment. Music is music brotha, the dead started up aspiring to be like the beatles yet they totally came up with a way better jam band.

  • There staring to grow on me, is it one of hose type bands when you first here them your not sure but then suddenly you get it !

It's a laid back thing, had to relax a bit the second time of listening!

  • yeah forsure, I was like that. I didnt like them for like a year(or i never admitted I did) and my parents were huge dead heads(like 40 shows a piece) but one day i was just like you know, this band has some really good musicians and good morales and now i fucking love the dead

  • certainly not a bad place to be my friend, i'd certainly rather be there myself, but then again, the trip to Bonnaroo would just be that much further.. its already an 18 hour drive from Mass then 5 hours in line haaaaaa Yesssaa!

  • I used to live in tennessee, been to a few 'roo trips.Good times there, people arent as snoby like the west.

  • If you like these guys check out Pearly Baker from New Bedford MA!!!! they've been playin there at the Bullpen every tuesday night from 10:30-1:30 for the last 25 years and counting and only for 3 bucks!!!! trust me its very worth checking out!! PS the Band and crowd are both very personable so its such an awesome time oh and they have cheep pitchers!!!!

  • sounds like a good time, too bad im on the west coast

  • seemed like the least I could do...

  • The Dead remained positive through always! Peace!

  • JokerneckQ

    Some

    Times

    Joking

    ......

    Sometimes

    We'll!!!!!!

  • what is with the footage of the lady on the bike??? Kinda distracting...

  • skull of " dia de los muertos " on jerry g guitar

  • Bob Weir wears short shorts.

Garcia is wearing cargo length shorts.

Jerry was ahead of his time in music and knee length shorts.

  • amazing

  • @ickeyjoey Bobby still wears short shorts!

  • @ickeyjoey It was incredibly hot - if I incredibly remember correctly.

  • yokinazoo........

  • Old but FOREVER awesome~

  • No, this is the correct date. If you want to check it or any other since 1972 do a search for Grateful Dead setlists and you'll find every show and what songs they played, very cool. Traffic opened on this tour.

As soon as i saw this I remembered being there because of that big purple t-shirt Jerry was wearing. He couldn't have worn that twice!!!

  • This by far my favorite GD song, for various reasons,ie, ex-whores, sluts and skanks( you know who u r ) but I never appreciated Garcia's guitar picking until this vid, thanks man...

  • All the hippies arent old now ^_^ My parents raised one

  • I really think this was 1993 instead of 94. with sting opening. Right???

  • Was 94. Because I was one years old and I went to it with my parents.

  • I was at this show, don't remember it, but I'm sure I enjoyed it

  • Was my dad's first dead show ever. Was 108 degrees, thats why it seems so windy, they had fans blowing on them

  • The Grateful Dead stage was air conditioned and, I believe, heated.

  • yeah it was in the fucking hot ass weather in vegas was like 117. those are fans blowing on them

  • Yeah those persian rugs there standing on arent cheap.

Hahah. niether was thhat china white.

  • Jerry liked the Persian heroin. He smoked it.

  • and life goes on

  • Motorcycle?

Damn, I thought it was a Trek Mountain Bike.......

  • No reason to be a smart assm he was answering the dudes question.

  • long live the dead

  • what are the weird growling sounds supposed to be in the studio version

  • Motorcycle

"I was drinking last night with a biker..."

  • Jerry is absolutely on fire on this!!!!

  • How come Bobby Weir never wears tye-tye?I dig that dominatrix though!

  • Saw an interview with Bob Weir on TV years ago and he was asked why he never wore tye-dye, said he "hated tye-dye", could'nt agree more!

  • jerry killlssss ittt
