Floyd is a great boxer, but outside of very keen boxing fans the average spectator may find his fights lackluster. That said, I also enjoy the fact that he is quick, hard to hit and an extremely accurate counter puncher.
You can say he lost the first fight and you can say he won the first fight. The fight was too close to say Castillo was robbed. THere were like 4 rounds that coulda gone either way. It is a difference in style. People from down south place emphasis on (and appreciate) toe to toe fighting. There is no emphasis on sticking, moving, boxing etc.
Up here in the U.S people have a greater appreciation for the slick boxer. That type of boxing has no importance to the fight fan down south, in fact people are not willing to spend the little money they have to watch a fight with no action.

Floyd is a great boxer, but outside of very keen boxing fans the average spectator may find his fights lackluster. That said, I also enjoy the fact that he is quick, hard to hit and an extremely accurate counter puncher.

You can say he lost the first fight and you can say he won the first fight. The fight was too close to say Castillo was robbed. THere were like 4 rounds that coulda gone either way. The second fight Mayweather clearly won, but everyone is influenced my lederman's scorecard and often times hes wrong. Watch the first fight again and turn the volume all the way down so u wont be influneced

Gave the 10th to Floyd on clean pot-shotting and great ring generalship but I agree with Merchant when he says that it's all slap, slap and then run! Gave Castillo a boxing lesson in the 11th... "When I want to see a tour de france I'll go to France"LOL The 12th is just a microcosm of the whole fight! Those aren't slaps... Those same punches have knocked many other boxers out that Floyd has faced. Castillo had a really good chin. In the first fight Mayweather nailed Castillo with many clean shots; Foreman even commented, Castillo has an amazing chin. Floyd punches are so fast, like Ali they don't look very hard cuz of how fast they are. I love both of these fights for Floyd & Castillo; Castillo was a beast in his 4yr prime! Honestly, I've been thinking a long time, Harold needs eyes checked.

exactly...a lot of people give castillo too much credit for those body punches...half of them are thrown while he's getting pulled away from mayweather, and the other half are thrown while he's holding him. unfortunately for him, he doesnt get the same undeserving special treatment ricky hatton always gets, so he cant get a decision that way. he has to actually fight, which he failed to do both times against mayweather

Listen a robbery is a CLEAR fight that was scored the other way. Castillio was in a very close fight and was wailing at floyds arms most of the way. Did you see the cotto clottey fight? cotto was running in pain and they still gave it to him but noone complains. floyd is undefeated its official
