  • @bobbymoya Excellent call! I am impressed and I thank you!

  • this kicks ass !!

  • I miss the 60's....

  • FUNKY!

  • damn when I was at school this is what I thought was going on in the art room (I did science)

  • I want their job.

  • @cQuinnTV I had it. It was great:)

  • hahah they dance like broken dolls

  • harlem shuffle>>>>house of pain sampled the beginning for jump around

  • That guy moves like a puppet.

  • The song is just fine. Ain't a damned thing wrong wit it. The video on the other hand is pretty cheesy...but then again, so was alot of stuff in the 60s.

  • Not breakin it enough. lol

  • This is a Scopitone clip. Scopitones were special jukeboxes with a screen to see film clips and quite popular in France especially.

I like the styling of the dancers. Black girls in silver and white girls in black - dancing in groovy sixties fashion

  • Who is performing this?

  • @MrEagleEartwig The name of the singer is Vigon. He's from Paris, France, and recorded this in 1967.

  • yea.... my grandma was definitely mod back in the 60's.... she wore gogo boots too!!!!!

  • This is Horrible!!!... The accent and bad lip-syncing make an already bad song into a clumsy wreck. His little arm-floppy two-step in that suit is strictly 2nd-grade talent show material. The no-no dancers look like this was their first time ever hearing the song. - Regardless of what is said, the [affected] dancing, the clothes, and the style of the set, are straight out of the '70's... But just because a song or video is old doesn't mean it's good. This is some crap, jeez!

  • Go-go Dancers are freakin cool! But no Go-go dancer is as cool as Anna Copa Cabanna!

    -Eric Chicago

  • now, THAT is go go dancing :)

  • It's VIGON!!

    Great maroccan singer!

  • The singer is VIGON, Maroccan singer who lived in France.

    Made some great 45's!!

  • j'adore ce style!!trop bon!! si vous avez d autres titres dans le genre???? merci!!!

  • I find it quite amazing that fashion repeats itself !!! the clothes that the girls are wearing would not look out of place on any high street today .

  • bootleg james brown!!! james frown!

  • @taskzulu My little brother said his name should be "Lames Clown"

  • This is strange. The singer (guy in the front) looks and moves like a puppet.

  • go go dancers are not strippers.....at nightrips....like people think today and label videos "go go dancers" on youtube.....go go dancing is an artform.......not naked trash like nowadays it is called.

  • This singer can scream it out, but since he can't speak English, it's an odd version.

Of course go-go dancers are always the source of delight, regardless of the music.

  • I thought the rollingstones did a kool cover version of this song. Anyhu, this is so classic. LOVE IT!

  • Russ Meyer ripped this off!

  • Yeah! But... that Foxes Brown are fantastic!

  • Aren't those skirts rather short :-)

  • @bikerhotelharz

thats the idea for being a go-go girl!

  • Smokey Robinson's evil twin?

  • It's actually PeeWee Herman's black doppelganger.

  • Right arm! Outa state! In the grove...

  • Why we don't have such a beautiful songs and dances anymore?

  • yes! out of sight

  • Shake it up!!!

  • love vigons accent , vigons groovy

  • How very cooooool!!!!!

  • yo this is not jerkin...damn

  • Oh god I love this !! those chicks are groovy !! somebody please tell me what this song is !! and who the dude is singing it !! God Im Go Go'ing all around the house HOT!!

  • "Harlem Shuffle" was recorded by Bob & Earl in 1963. You'll find the original on YouTube.

  • they don't realy look quite human ,strangly like tech animations !

  • The fashions made me think 1970's, so I did a little research. This song was first released by Vigon in 1967, so it is entirely possible that the video was made in the early 70's. I'm old, trust me. My clues: Vigon's tux with that huge bow tie is very 70's. The girls are bra-less and reed-thin, another 70's fashion earmark. Incredibly groovy stuff!

  • @Hindasound

    What an analysis, clever!

Thanx for the information. I was wondering who this singer was.

    Never heard of him before.

The song is "Harlem Shuffle" (1967)

  • @Hindasound Double-breasted jacket, square-toed & heeled boots, micro minis, Barbra Streisand (or Julie Christie-in-Shampoo) bobs,... I'm gonna go with 1969. We can attribute the lack of bras to the by then already emerged hippie and women's lib movements. The skirts are simply too short for the 70's and the hair too coiffed.

  • The mod scene of the 1960s was THE best...

  • This video on MTV 1960's was the SHIT back in the days!!!! This was the talk of the school music video, like,it was totally Super! and Groovy! yet Funky!!!!

  • Love this song-it's the "Harlem Shuffle" can't recall who the original singers were-I think Bob and Earl.

  • You're right. The Stones also covered in the 90's.

  • The Stones did a pretty good job, but I still prefer Bob and Earl's version. I'm not opposed to bands who cover music from other performers. Sometimes they manage to do as fine a job as those who performed the original.

  • I agree with you.

I also prefer Bob and Earl's version.

    Cheers!

  • bob and earl's version was the flippest---love 'em.

  • This is so cool. I love go go dancers.

  • theresa graves is a back up dancer

  • She looks like a young Whitney Houston to me.

  • Vigon is moroccan, not frech and he lives in Casa Blanca(morocco)

  • Get Down Vignon! French / Morrocan Soul Brother!!!!

  • totally groovy thank you so much!

  • The only thing I love about this song is the ladies on the background dancing & shaking that booty !!!

  • far out!!!

  • that's what you get when you convert scopitones to digital media ;)

the processing speed of a scopitone is slower than today's video framing.

    Nice voice though .

  • I miss the danceres. loool. It was a good time though.

  • thanks-he's way out!

  • who is the singer?

  • His name is Vigon, he's still around I believe.

  • Take me back!!!!

  • This is what cool is... not was, IS.

  • These days you can't dance that stupid and get away with it. I should have been born in the 60's!

  • yes but you would have been just a baby and still not be able to dance this stupid dance

  • Hm... Good point! *DUH, ME* lol.... Okay I mean I should have been born in the 50's...

  • Those were the days...good music and good dancing...and era that will never be forgotten!

  • This is the Sh*t baby! I love those dancers! Very cool.

  • yes...it's name is under tags

  • The song is "The Harlem Shuffle"!
