This is my single favourite hymn we sing at my church. I get so excited everytime we sing it. Can't wait to learn it on my uke! Thanks for sharing. Shane.

thank-you, Ken, for sharing. Also one of my favourite hymns. your from the heart singing is comforting and comfortable. good for me to sing along with .... all the Best
I like many of the old hymns too, Todd. A lot of them are Biblically accurate. Sad to say, many modern worship songs aren't. A few of them are diabolical.
Hi Ken. This is a really beautiful song, a special one loaded with memories. I sang this at my son's funeral. Listening to you sing this is really breathtaking. Intense. Emotional. Draining and yet refreshing all at the same time. Thank you.
I think the song (not my performance) hold a special place in many people hearts. I am really saddened by your loss. It is a terrible thing to lose a child.
I think you should try for an hour special. I'm pretty sure we'd all be with you to the end. Great, Ken!
After watching lots of YouTubers perform even when they are deathly ill, I can understand HF Lyte's drive to finish his lyrics. Personally, when I'm sick, I'm sick. I don't do nothing if I can help it.
Wow, this has got to the longest hymn?! Thank you so much Ken, listening to this (a few times) has cured my headache lol. Add headache-curing to your long list of talents! :-) Absolutely beautiful and so heartfelt, as always, bless you X

Haha. Thanks Don. We used this at my mother and my father's funeral and very recently at my best friend's. It's a great hymn.

Most beautiful Ken. Very nice singing in this one, mellow yet a bit raspy. Just the way I like it. Could have been a Dylan tune.

When I have a migraine, my wife makes me play worship songs on the piano until it is gone. Thanks Ruth.
KenMiddletonUkulele 2 years ago
very well done, out of curiosity do you play any other instruments?
highflyin3484k 2 years ago
A few: guitar, bass, violin, saxophone, recorder, piano, synth, stuff like that.

Very jarring to hear the blues riffs, but it made me listen to the song closer. Vaughan Williams may have issues with it, though! : )

I tried one run-though before this one. It was a reggae version. I think you would have found that even more jarring. I serious, by the way.
