@XgameboycolorX That's easy to fix. My Gibson SG is so heavy it doesn't neck dive. But when I have a guitar that does, I just sew a little pocket onto my strap near the heel of the guitar that holds my wireless system and a little bean bag filled with copper B.Bs or something like ( I forget what I put in it). That weighs the end of the strap down and keeps the guitar from diving
I have a 65 gibson sg custom and am the original owner. it is the best guitar i have ever played. it does rock jazz blues all with effortless playing. I enjoyed your video.
@xXKaliber45Xx No sir, it's a 3600 dollars handmade Gibson Custom Shop... Picked up at the Gibson Custom Shop in Nashville Tennesee in 2003.. Cheers Michael
I love and SG's so much that I own two. One is a '64 Special w 2 P-90s. The other is an 08 LP SG Standard! Cool guitar and great playing! What I want to know is who makes your hat? It's exactly the style and color I'm looking for. Thanx dude =)
@Royalllllll Ha ha ha.. Sorry man NOT this model my friend.. Must be the Epiphone version of it!! This baby is now over 5000 dollars!! And by the way if it's a new guitar, you can't get anything out of the Gibson Custom Shop for under 3000 dollars!! Cheers Michael
Wow, three humbuckers....for a while i didnt even know that they made them like this. The other day i was looking at this type of guitar and i saw it and i have to say its one of the most beautiful guitars ive ever seen. Then i looked it up on youtube to hear it, and it brought me here! Your a very good guitarist man! So i have a question, does the extra humbucker they put on this make it sound alot better than without it?
@xxKoRndudexx Hey man... Thanks! I don't think it sounds better than the two pickup SG, but ofcourse you have some ekstra sound options. It's a beautiful instrument! Cheers Michael
heyy man. i found a replica of this guitar and the pickups using are Three Alnico Classic humbuckers like Burstbucker /PAF. i'm planning to buy it but dont know much bout the difference between the sg pickups and the alnico classic humbuckers. is it worth it if i'm buying it because gibson guitar wayyyy to expansive. help me pleaseeee.
Hi there... Well, it's a SG, but it's called Les Paul Custom.. Confused?? Well in 1961 Gibson tried to put out a new LP model to the market. It wasn't shaped like the normal LP and was a lot thinner in the body! Les Paul got pissed with Gibson and didn't want them to use his name for these guitars, so Gibson had to rename the model and it became the SG (Solid Guitar). This is a 2004 reissue of the first SG model, so it's called The SG Les Paul Custom.. A little history lesson! Cheers Michael
Hey, i was wondering if you knew what a really high pitched or sharp sounding tuning is? Ive tried C tuning(did not sound very good) and i want to play with something other than the regular E-a-d-g-b-e . Also i have my pickups just about as close as they get to the strings, so what else can i do to get a really high pitched sound from my guitar?
today got the epiphone version, I'm just in love with the guitar first sigth, question, what do you mean with left handed? does the pick ups are set up diferent or are just the knobs and pickgard? can't you made it left handed by setting the strings in oposition?
dude!! you rock hard!!! i am a left handed too but i play right handed these days because my guitar is right handed. my left handed guitar is broken. . . . . .i also have a custom sg almost 30 years old, how much do you think it will cost me to restore my guitar?
Wanna hear a heartbreaker? I bought a 1971 lefty Les Paul DeLuxe way back in the early 80's for 250.00 It was stolen from my home while I was at work. I only had it about a year. I get sick when I think about what it is worth today. Love your guitar.... If you ever wanna sell it, contact me. : )
nice man i am left handed too and this guitar right here is my alltime favorite guitar unfortunately its way outta my price range cuz im only 14 years oold but have been playing for 6 years now and this is just my dream guitar right here
man... you make me remind my uncle, he likes to use hats like that and he played guitar as good as you. I think he may be playing now... in heaven... nice playing dude and pretty guitar i still wanna buy and epiphone sg g400 till i have my own job to buy an real gibson...
(to futurekubrick) Yeah Tony Iommi inspired me to pick up the sg, and being left handed. Then i noticed angus young use the sg and i was hooked. The sg is my all time favorite now, besides jackson guitars.
Yeah, Angus Young was an influence too although he tended to use the standard models. I also like Eric Clapton's psychedelic SG. The Fool it was called.
I really want to try those 68 guitars, although im use to the fat necks on 61 reissues lol, well at least my epi sg. Standard models are all i can really get, specials aren't made left handed unless you go directly to Gibson.
To get one of these cheap enough you'd have to go to a source like ebay, but seeing as I don't trust it there's not much I can do. I still like standards and specials, but I prefer the vintage, or vintage reissue, specials. Not keen on Epiphones. I prefer Vintage because they're made better pretty much.
I want one of those so bad. I play a lefty Epiphone G-400. It's decent, but probably nothing like that SG since that guitar's over 10 times the price of it and an actual Gibson. Do those have ebony fretboards like the Elliot Easton SG or rosewood? It looks like ebony, but it could be a dark rosewood.
Hey Cosmo!!! Thanks for the respons!!! It's a dark rosewood neck!!! I think that it is a beautiful guitar but I infact think that it is too expensive!!! I bought mine in 2003 in Nashville for 3600 dollars but if you check the Gibson Custom side you can see that now it's almost 6000 dollars and that's INSANE!!!! Offcourse it's a good investment and it's a great instrument, but it is NOT 6000 dollars great!!!! Cheers Michael
Hey Elvis!!! Thanks for the comment... In fact I think you are right:-)... It's the middle and the bridge pick, and NOT all 3, when it's in the middle position... Sorry guys for the wrong info.. I don't use this guitar that often!! Cheers Michael
