im riding amtrak new york to pennsylvannia at the end of this month. im not up for 7 hours on a train but its better than sitting on a greyhound bus for 7 hours my back would break as soon as i get up.
hey everyone i am going coach with two friends from NYC to Miami i was wondering how will the ride be i mean i took similar trains before from italy to paris and once from Ukraine to Moscow Russia. But i think the ones in Europe are more faster?...But yea i am paying 266$ roundtrip and was curious how to spend the time reading? Ipod? Laptop?---I hear they provide movies or something. well any help is appreciated nice video very informative.
I've heard of wardriving, but warrailing...ahhh.. nice. It'd be interesting to see all the spots plotted on a map. Nice videos.. Makes me less intimidated to try long distance travel (solo) this way
Nice vid..thanks !!..The Western Pacific Railroad was completed 140 years ago this year..What an amazing engineering feat even for today ! Looking forward to doing the full trip from Chicago to San Francisco in June !
Looks awesome! I'm gonna do Amtrak out that way and this is a nice preview. The Rocky Mountain shots remind me so much of "The Shining" ( the opening credits) Great vid man!

Exactly! Disconnected is a perfect description for traveling on the airlines. I prefer the train as well. I mean where else can you be in the middle of the Rockies ( as in this video ) like that. Sure as hell don't wanna have to drive through it cause you have to pay attention to the road. And we're not all like the dude in Man vs Wild .:-)) The train is the perfect medium for seeing this beautiful country!
