My Quaker Bird is two years old and she talks alot. She tells you when she wants a bath, wants to go to sleep, wants a cookie, shes a pretty smart bird. She has flown out of the house 9 times and 9 times we've gotten her back. I refuse to clip her wings.
Cutie pie. Quakers are so smart. My Fred can say quite a bit of words: Hello Bad Bird Good Boy Hello Fred Chicken Noises Kiss Noises 'Tiger' Growls Whatcha Do'n? Peek a Boo And he's only a year old. Its too bad he doesn't talk for the camera.
In the morning we use to do crazy at the squaking that she did,but once she started to learn and pick up noises easily she would mumble to herself in the morning until we woke up and talked to her. Which is way better than be as loud as possible to wake us up so we will talk to her..
Its so weird how she will bite other people (anyone but me and my girlfriend)when they walk by her house. I cant believe how easily they can learn the noises and sounds that we make to her on most easy noises she will do it back instantly. As long as the camera isnt around:-)
Why is yours tail feathers so short do you clip them or is the age?

My Quaker, Svetti, loves Lago! We just found your video--and he can't stop yelling, talking to Lago. Svetti's 33 this year!

My Quaker does the exact same thing, says step, mumbles to herself, scratches against objects, and bites people that she hasn't bonded with.
