Good video again. Agree with all of your points. I have had the same opinions and i often get criticized by my own family and friends for speaking up my on mind. I am glad i realized much earlier that much of the problem comes from hadith books as they are full of nonsense and lies.
@MuslimfeministWell Allah in the Quran does not mention the specifics of the how to perform the prayer or do ablution. The reason why is that he has the messenger and we have to follow his example. Well if u don't trust Hadith and ignore it I have no idea how u pray and do ablution or anything else in that matter that the prophet saw explained. And what do u mean by selectively? Aren't u selectively picking hadiths that u agree with and accusing the other ones that u don't like as false.
@TheMohamedm1 ha! ha! how well do you know islam? Ablution is mentioned in chapter 5 of Quran. And prayers how did people pray before hadith was collected and written down? People have always learned how to pray as this is ritual gets passed down from one generation to the next. how did previous prophets pray? I am not selective at all with hadiths - i consider the negative and positive & see which ones compliments quran and reject ones that contradict quran as Quran must always take priority.
@TheMohamedm1 tell me how many people do you know that have actually picked up hadith and learned how to pray from there - do a little survey on your friends. How did the people of prophet abraham, moses, jesus etc pray? The most important part of prayers, sajdah to the Alimighty is mentioned in the Quran. Do you know how many hundreds of thousands of hadiths were rejected on collection. people had falsely attributed things to the prophet - how can we be 100% the ones we have are 100% accurate?
yes we follow the propht pbuh but challenging hadiths does not mean we challenge him because hadiths are only narrations of what he allegedly said and at times what people understood by what he said and there are examples where even his companions understood what he said differently. So in any analysis there are many factors that need be be considered. there is no strong evidence why women cant lead prayer - only men's ego (including yours) prevents this because they think they are superior.
@TheMohamedm1 So according to you, Allah was so much of a pathetic dumb ass that he forgot to tell us how to pray and do ablution and waited 200-900 years after Muhammad's death for some nip tickey scholarss who were not prophets to collect so called 'oral transmissions' containing contradictions and errors to tell us these things? Makes perfect sense LOL
for the critics out there - face facts which are this - men have opinions about what women should or should not be doing and then build a whole case around it by selectively picking out texts to support their opinion and ignore anything that undermines their opinion in the hope no one will discover these other texts. In the age of the internet and social media - i think this is about to change and the dishonesty is finally being exposed!
I never said that just because she's a women she didnt know as much as scholars. I'm
Saying they probably memorized the Quran and studied Hadith and fiqh, and I don't think she did that. I personally don't agree with her idea of women leading mixed prayers because there is no strong evidence of it in the sunnah of the prophet.saw. There is a Hadith that says if u participate in something doubtful u will be held accountable if it is haram. That is why we are recommended to stay away from doubtf
@TheMohamedm1 you say "There is a Hadith that says if u participate in something doubtful u will be held accountable if it is haram." why has Allah not said this in the Quran? Allah has made all the things that are unlawful ie haram, clear in the Quran. As you will know if you are aware of history of hadith and its compilation - it is not an error free system as it is a man made collection of what the Prophet allegedly said. the term doubtful is used as a method of control
@TheMohamedm1 how selectively you quote hadith and say we will be held accountable for doing something doubtful. how about the hadith which says that if you do itjihad and arrive at an understanding and you are right you get two rewards and if you are wrong you get one reward - so you get rewarded for trying not punished as you suggest. why does one need to memorize the Quran to understand it? this just shows you are good at remembering stuff, it dont mean you can apply critical reasoning.
@TheMohamedm1 What is wrong with women leading the prayers? Nothing. Or are you so much of a pervert that even a covered believing woman would distort your pious islamic mind?
Aslamu alaikum, can u please give me examples of the hadiths u are condemning and accusing as being false? I don't agree with the way ur completely discrediting people who have studied the Quran and Hadith and probably know a lot more than u. They have more knowledge and that's why people ask them for advice.
@TheMohamedm1 i had 15 mins to cover a huge topic - and i did mention the negative hadiths about women about how people are brainwashed into believing a negative stereotype of women - am surprised you have not heard them. however, i will do a whole lectures on these hadiths but next time quote references so they can be looked up. Well if these people have more knowledge then shouldn't you be asking why they are selectively disclosing knowledge instead of having a go at me for pointing out facts
@TheMohamedm1 are you assuming i am wrong and these other people are right with research? Have you actually looked into what i am saying? every accusation that i have made can be verifed if anyone bothers to try...but some people wont as they will not allow themselves to use their aql / intellect. I have been received a huge number of messages from muslim men and especially women who get what i am saying - so if i am so wrong then why is my talk resonating with so many people?
@TheMohamedm1 I find it absolutely amusing that while Muslimfeminist says right at the start of the Video that most Musilm men will try to say that women are intellectual inferior and unlearned, you start with "Ask those hadiths, since they probably know a lot more than you since you probably haven't studied it anyway" ... just because she's a woman? Listen to her and at least try to open your mind for other's opinions.
To be honest, I agree with a lot of your views and I like your version of the pagan god Hubal better than the Qur'anic one, but it's too bad the majority don't agree with you... otherwise we could put an end to honor killings, stonings, apostasy killings, child marriage (following the example of the prophet, pbh), and forced conversions for marriage.
I wish you luck on your efforts but in the end you can only come to one conclusion... your views are modern liberal views, not the ancient, 7th century views of a man who collected wives like cattle and condoned beating them to keep them in line.
Interestingly the God of Islam used to be female - she was called Al'Lat. There is a lot written on the internet about this and a facebook page too.
She was changed because of men wishing to dominate. I liked this video. Made a few things clear. Thank you very much. Please keep posting and writing about your views. They are SO necessary in this world today.
i think what is upsetting many people is that i have gained lots of support for my words - and yes people like is said in my talk will not allow free thinking - they will do anything and say anything to shut down debate. Why is my talk resonating with people - because they are sick to death of being controlled and being told they are not allowed to think for themselves because such and such scholars have said so. no wonder why we are prevented from reading Quran so we dont discover the truth
What has been great about everyone attempting to challenge me and say i am a lay person, i'm not allowed to give opinions in islam is this: they constantly refer to male opinion as their evidence...no one has proved i cannot do what i am doing using Allah'a words. I constantly refer to his words as my guidance - ignorance of the basics of islam is beyond belief... but they help me to prove the objective in my talk though which is great...they are walking talking examples of what i refer to.
I'm asking simple questions in order to ascertain to breadth of your studies or even if in fact you're actually of student of Islam or a student of your desires(self-professed intelligence). You ignored simple questions which leads me to believe you are in fact a layperson. Also, the burden of proof is on you to provide justification for your actions, It's not on me to provide proof restricting it. Anyway, I'd much rather busy myself memorizing Quran. May Allah guide you. Ameen.
Hm... man, if you are a student of the Quran yourself, why don't you just look up the passages she refers to and see yourself if it makes sense? Why do you need the crutch of other thinkers to verify something so simple?
@votvik82 Again, it's her argument to prove. In secular law, she'd have to prove her argument with evidence. In the physical sciences, she'd also need to prove her theory. The Islamic sciences are no different. The fact is, her argument WILL NOT be found in research of the Islamic texts (Quran and Hadeeth). She will neither be able to cite any renowned Islamic expert to support her self-professed intelligence (desires).
@TaalibulHustle this is very entertaining....who is the best expert and teacher? Allah....what is the best guide...the Quran. No i dont have to prove anything against a man made system designed to ensure people like me cannot have an opinion. You MUST prove that anything i have said is against principles of islam using Quran (seems you are having trouble doing this)...no point in running back to your scholars as evidence. You prove that scholars have now been ascribed as partners to God.
@votvik82 "IF" the verses she's alluding to where "THAT" simple and clear, she would have memorized them, relayed them, and offered the stance of someone more well-known to support her novice rhetoric because her word/argument, by itself, isn't credible because she's a novice, layperson. In reality, she wouldn't be able to pronounce the Quran properly w/o the instruction of a teacher, but she figures she can interpret it w/o a teacher OR sound studies. That's absurd.
@TaalibulHustle since you are memorising the Quran, dont forget there are no intermediaries between us and Allah....hope your teachers and scholars come to save you on judgement day...if they have misled you with regards to women...funny thing is not once have you proved from Quran (Allahs words) why i need intermediaries - why i cannot read and understand quran for myself - you just give male opinion as to why i cannot do this - you prove my points in the talk nicely. :-)
@TaalibulHustle a lay person has a right to read and understand quran according to Quran itself. So you going to put male opinion above that of Allah?...tut tut...no point in memorising quran if you dont pay attention to his words, ponder and reflect etc. You think i am wrong...well if you really knew the quran, you would know only Allah knows who is guided who is not according to verse 16:125. notice i keep referring to Quran and you keep referring to other men - scholar worshipping?????
@Muslimfeminist I agree with Talibu, the issue is that you have not truly read all of the Qur'an in depth or studied it well enough to compare points and passages within it. Until you have even read it or memorized it you will not have the necessary education to make the claims that you so boldly make about women's rights, Islam and the Qur'an.

As Salaamu Alaykum, Can you please identify what scholars and rulings you're talking about? Good for you for fighting it where you encounter it!
I always questioned many aspects of preaching in Islam, the first was that women was the most in hell fire. Even-though I was a young child, I knew that this had to be false. More men commit crimes, more men watch porn, more men attend sexual services, more men have substance abuse etc It seemed unfair to say women would be in hell-fire more just for gossip?! Extramarital affairs is definitely worse than gossip! I challenged that concept...but never got a straight answer...
@KpopManiacSFL Women will supposedly go to hellfire, not for being disobedient to Allah but their husbands. This surely implies that being obedient to husbands is more important than obeying Allah which in turn infers that husbands are more superior to Allah. Could the Prophet have wanted this? Allah mentions the inhabitants of hellfire in the following verses 11:119 & 32:13 - no mention of women here - there was nothing to stop Allah from mentioning it. Hadiths are elevated above the Quran.

For those who think hadith books have the word of the prophet, think again: Quran is clear:
Quran is the best hadith 39:23
No other hadith after the Quran is from God 45:6, 77:50
there is no method of prayer and this is common sense. The current method was implemented much much later.

I know it is mentioned in the Quran but the prophet is the one who explained the specific procedure
