Nothing needs to be changed about it. Visuals isn't the focus for rpgs really, its the story and music, while a story is good, the mood isn't set for it without the right music to set it. without it, the game wouldn't be complete. with the proper music it aloows you to feel what your characters feel. isn't that all there needs to be?

Story = EPIC

Gameplay = Pretty damn good. The element system is revolutionary, and there isn't another like it. It's fully customizable, and it puts you in control. The musical score is phenomenal, and sends shivers down my spine each time I listen to a piece like these two. the Cutscenes are amazing in their own right, I have played this game over and over again, and don't ever intend to put it down. ^_^

A year later... I forgot I left that comment. The storyline, after playing Chrono Trigger, makes a lot more sense. And still, the musical score is fantastic. Some people say that the two are not related, but in all actuality, the stories intertwine perfectly.

I completely agree with Itpliskenjg, this game is already an amazing piece, and its the stupid ppl that wish 4 sequels and remakes and end up ruining the whole game...Chrono Cross is the kind of game that it shouldnt matter what the graphics r like (even though I absolutely <3 them!), its how u feel while playing the game. This game is so good the way it is now, that when I first played it I felt all of the emotions in it. I still do! So go back to ur cool graphics world, cause this game rocks!

The best thing to do for this game is to Remake it for ps2 and add voice to the characters instead of having to read text...it would make it by far an epic game (FF7 still is the best!)

Depending on how you play the game Kid dies Randomly but is always resurected by Herself Kid is a clone sent by Schala to save Janus who is serge wich results in serge saving Her Like he promised to do in the first game except becouse of all the plot twists and time manipulation Serge has no memory of being janus if you play the game perfect and restart a few times for the different ending thats eventually revealed but yes Kid dies but is saved

And when order is restored, Serge continues to live with no memoru of Chrono Cross events, while schala appears to have remembered it all because of the diary.

And in the picture that you see by the diary, she later married Serge.

Here's a fact, Chrono crusade is not related to Chrono Cross. In fact the 2 story lines of the anime and game are completely different. If you look at the characters plots and stories they have nothing to do with each other. 2 of the main characters of the games are silent protagonists. 1 is controlling time and stopping lavos. and the other is killed stupid ghosts or what ever. no dude, the characters are not the same. Only one character's name is even similar, and the name is spelled differently (Chrono/ Crono), and the wiki has no information connecting the two universes. The character concepts were even drawn by completely different artists. Akira Toriyama created the characters for chrono Trigger, while Daisuke Moriyama did the manga/anime.

By far the best game I have played...better than Chrono Trigger in my opinion. The storyline is unimaginably rich and very very deep. By the time I finished the Sea of Eden, my mind was blown away, especially when I saw Leene's Bell. Oh how it brought back memories. That part of the game is my all-time favorite. The integration of CT in CC is astounding. I truly hope for a Chrono Break so missing plot holes can be filled.
