Remember hearing this in Soho back in the late 60s, OMG does this bring back some memories. The things we remember but lock away in our minds for so long and one day you unlock the door and it all falls out like an overstuffed closet full of dusty junk. :D
i remember my friend james in hospital, he thought he got 250 thousand years from the doctor at court but i played this song to him and it cheered him up.....good one eh!!!
going like that...yeahh!!! 400 years!!! man!! pussies!!!! were da bad boyz....eh pal?? yeahh!!!
i remember my friend james in hospital, he thought he got 250 thousand years from the doctor at court but i played this song to him and it cheered him up.....good one eh!!!
Can you help me with the lyrics of these two songs of the 60 Prince Buster, the first is: They got to go. because although I understand not write English.
The second is: THEY GOT MY WAY TO COMME.
Thank you for your response to: julvivas@yahoo.com
I heard that you was the one down there at Sutton Street who tell the judge;"Rude boys don't care!" Well, this is King Street, and my name is Judge Dread, and I don't care! Now tek 400 years!
@SuperDonna888 I wish judge could come to town to upheld the law of the land. However often I hear this song , it makes me laugh, a funny and hilarious song indeed!
@Fallon472 Yes I agree with you, we need someone like Judge Dread to sort things out, instead of these wishy-washy judges of today, so I say,... 'Judge Dread for Prime Minister' hahaha
LMAO! This never gets old! Adolphus James: "But your honor i didn't..." "Hush up!!! Just for talking.. i charge you with contempt, that's a separate 100 years! , I hereby sentence you 400 years!" *Grumbles* "I said Hush Up! Hush Up!!! You are sentenced to 400 years and 500 lashes!" *starts crying* "I'm going to set an example... Rude boys don't cry.. don't cry" "Judge I am not guilty and..." "Court adjourned! Take him away!" LOL best part.
@JahRich69 All I ever heard until now was the Mutabaruka version, too. But Prince Buster rules. He is the last remaining living link to the 50s soundclash era and through all of Jamaican music. Long live Prince Buster!
@IIIIIIdontcare Yes your honour,.. anything you say your honour, not guilty your honour! please don't make me cry your honour...I'm a good girl your honour lol
Hilarious and wildly entertaining. "Wha' you gwine try do? Shoot mi too?" "Guilty or nat Guilty?" "Nat guilty, sah." "I don't care what you seh, tek 400 years. Next."
I had to refresh the page to get this to play. I must have missed this one. 1st time i've heard it (where have i been !!). Good tuniee. Thanks for uploading.
What are you trying to do, shoot me too? I'm the rude boy today, and I don't care. Now take 400 years. Wasn't he also the 'bodyguard' of Coxsone or Duke Reid. Was a good boxer.
thanx so much for posting this, i only heard it a few times on radio many years ago but never forgot it!
does anyone know of a real peppy ska tune, it was in honor of Jamaica's independence, I thought the name was "national ska" but I cd never find it on the net... I heard it maybe 2 times, it was awesome!
I wouldnt be surprised, Madness got their name from Prince Busters song. And Judge Dread did cops songs such as Big five from The Prince, so, could well be the case.
