RULE#1 OF TIME ATTACKING:

Never slow down, ever. You should be able to charge to the boss room without ever stopping, except in this level for the bomb floors and the flower miniboss. Tornado is your best friend; it clears the screen, and lets you jump higher.

Yeah, that mini-boss will either make you or break you. BTW, I just got my time down to 1:43 on this stage.
