  • The person disliked is a GAY!

  • I am speech less... A super and Master piece.... I don't understand why We come to know about such artists so late....I am proud of them....May we get more opportunity to listen them...

  • beautiful.

  • i live in kenya....listening to such music transports me into the world of spiritual ecstasy. Is the ustad related to Bade ghulam ali Khan?seems he carries the same musical genes.

  • @65naz1 yes..

  • Does anyone know when and where Ustadji gave this tremendous performance?

  • One of the finest music I have heard. The voice and wonderful performance just carries away into a different world. I am from India, Great Music, salute you!

  • simply mesmerizing, kya baat hai. We should consider ourselves lucky to enjoy Ustadji's music. Ustad Fateh Ali Khan ki aise phirat hai, jaise Arjunji ke baan.

  • saqib bhai, you should add Taan-Kaptaan to the title, the brilliant composition of Ali-fattu fame.

  • @shankyxyz LYRICS:

Taan Kaptaan Kahaan Gayo Jag Se

    Fateh Ali Khan

    Jab Gaawe Tab Guni Rijhaawe

    Guni Bhaye Meharabaan

Taan Kaptaan Ki Aisi Phirat Hai

    Jaise Arjun Ji Ke Baan

  • @shankyxyz Thanks for posting the sthayi, antara of the bandish - a minor correction though:

instead of Taan Kaptaan Ki Aisi Phirat Hai

it is Taan Balwant ki Aisi Phirat Hai.

  • @bhikhiasilsala

Music has no boundries my brother. One does not need eyes to enjoy music. Nor does one need ears. One needs a pure soul to enjoy music. Music is the real form of worship. Listen to the Dhrupad from Gundecha Brothers in raag Adana (same raag as Ustad Fateh Ali Khan is singing in this video) and you will understand.

  • 7:26 onwards Taan Kapitan is sheer magic, kya baat hai, no words to describe the beauty of drut laya Adana.

  • @bhikhiasilsala

I disagree. Both sides have great masters and artists. Music and love have no boundries.

  • WOW! This is absolutely amazing! may Allah swt give the great ustad a long and healthy life!

  • Note the drut lyric "Taan Kaptan". Apparently the "Kaptan" referred to is one Bade Fateh Ali Khan, one of the founders of the Patiala Gharana and probably an ancestor of this Fateh Ali.

  • @mlredr nope. Fateh Ali Karnail had a singing partner, Ali Baksh Jarnail. The dou were called ali-fattu. Fateh Ali sahab is decendant (great grandson) of Ali Baksh Jarnail.Karnail Fateh Ali was called Taan-Kaptan.

  • Beautiful rendition! Kyaa Baat Hai!

  • wow, amazing vocal and very good late night raag. He has amazing 'pakad'

  • zabardast - mesmerizing vocals.

  • Ustadi Gayki

  • this is so beautiful but i don't have the words to praise it duly.

  • He used to sing with his elder bro Ustad Amanat Ali Khan till the untimely demise of the latter in 1974. Ustad Nusrat's father bore the same name and incidentally belonged to the same Patiala Gharana , though belonging to a different gente, i.e. qawwali

  • @drnavinsingh Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan traces his lineage from the Qawaal Bache gharana of Delhi (founded by Amir Khusrau).

  • this singer has nothing to do with nusrat fateh ali khan, this ustad is a classical music singer who used to singer with his brother ustad fateh ali khan, after his brother´s death he start singing with his nephew amjad amant, now he IS singing with his own son rustam fateh ali, he is still alive, while nusrat´s father ( fateh ali khan) was a qawali singer ( not classical singer) who used to sing together with his brother mubarak ali khan, fateh ali, mubarik ali both are dead.

  • he was the father of ustad nusrat fateh ali khan

  • @dreamofswapn No, you are mistaken. The father of Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan was also named Fateh Ali, but he was known as Ustad Fateh Ali Khan (Qwaal).

  • ok...thank you...

  • No problem. :)

  • SECOND TO NONE.

  • I listened to this beautiful song so many times and now......find it here. Thanks a lot. What a Beauty !!!!!

  • Make the rest sound like choirboys.

  • What Divine voice. The music simply makes me feel part of the immense universe and takes me into a state of surrealistic calmness and peace!

  • Very beautiful ... thanks for uploading!

  • these are the ppl that makes us realise that there is sumthing supreme then us, human..science may never be able to prove existence of God but 'his' music surely gives a feeling that 'HE/SHE'exists
