I'm having some weird problems with this, for some reason when I open up the window that you use to set up the uvw map I see no lines and most of the buttons in the gui are grey... Any idea what the problem is?

I must use max for some freelance work, but I agree with everyone who says they hate UVW unwrapping. The UVW tools in Max SUCK MONKEY NUTS.  Considering max and maya are both owned by autodesk, idk why they dont bring in some of the awesome unwrapping tolls got maya.

cus there are free max plugs for unwarpping that are just like maya's if not some are better.

I agree with you... I've worked on a few game mods making weapons and props. I really enjoy modeling the stuff but i hate UVW unwrapping it.

I remember one time i modeled this Soviet T54 Main Battle Tank.

Took me 3 days to UVW Unwrap, towards the end it started to consume me so i had to stop for a few hours or lose all focus on reality =-/

try bb flash recorder its perfect.Iam using it ant I have no problems and quality is verry good.
