You are right it is the worst. You should talk about jeremy stevens catching the ball with posession taking 4-5 steps and then the ball comes out and it was incomplete pass instead of a fumble with steeler players around him. Dont believe me watch the superbowl again. Hell even shaun salisbery showed it on ESPN.
The refs sure did not let the Seahawks play ball. Worst officiating I have ever seen in football. It was the first SB I ever turned off due to the crap calls.
you lost by 11 points. It was a one sided game. I didnt even sweat it, boring ass superbowl. Easy ass opponent. Get over it you would need a hell of a lot of missed calls to make up that dismal performance. Seahawks fuckin blow.
Why is it that every time i see this video there this long ass debate about who should've won, and who sucks and all kinds of crap. For Christ Sakes it was 5 YEARS AGO!!, Let It GOOO, Ima Hawks fan, Loud And Proud, and i admit i dont fully agree with the refs decisions, but Seattle Lost sadly, and thats okay, a true Hawks fan doesnt get caught up with the past we look to the future, now can everyone just dropped...
That game was the NFL equivalent of the 2002 NBA game 6 of the Western Conference Finals between LA and Sacramento. It was just a complete job by the officials. You could tell Seattle would have to beat the Steelers AND the officials. I love the Steelers but so many fans just embarrass the nation when they don't believe Superbowl XL was a farce. It's a W but there's an asterisk.
@gf19711 It embarrassed the STEELER nation which I am part of. The only thing worse is the Steeler fans who are idiots who say it wasn't an obvious job. If they had won without all the bullshit (I think it would be close but a win), it would have been great but Superbowl XL was a shitshow.
Well, the rule states that the reciever can do whatever he wants to the defender BEFORE the ball is thrown. So Hines Ward didn't commit a penalty at all.
steeler fans, look at the difference in the two plays. idiots. just admit that the steelers got help. you guys would be "whining" too if this happened to your team.
You sound like a bitch and a typical steeler fan. Everytime this is brought up WITH facts and proof and ... oh yeah a ref that admits it ALL steeler fans resort to childish remarks and comebacks. See gf19711. He is a prime example of a steeler fan. Such a waste
@gf19711 they didn't lose it, it was stolen from them by the league they had a gay man crush on jerome bettis and wanted to make damm sure his fat ass got a super bowl ring in Detroit. The whole fucking game was a set up from the beginning and the seahawks were made the pattsies. the truth is the NFL hates and despises the seattle seahawks.
@gf19711 You can say "wah" and characterize us as babies as much as you want but the fact is that this was the worst officiated game in the history of super bowls and the officials even admitted to it.
@veganisextremelygood Karma - sure. They've gone to 2 Super Bowls since XL and won one of them. "Karma" would be turning into a shitty team for years afterward - kinda like what happened to the Suckhawks...
Seahawks fans, we have to get over it. It sucks though, considering we will never (in my opinion) have another Walter Jones/Steve Hutchinson combo that will lead us to a Championship game for a while. Tell me why, when Hutch left, the next year Alexanders production went down and Jones was injured from having to pancake block 2 people at a time. Tell me why AP's numbers went up the next year. It really isn't fair, but there is no point being angry about it anymore. We all know the Steelers dirty
Troy Aikman said after seeing the video replay of this play, "That wasn't offensive pass interference." I never liked Troy Aikman until then. BTW, near the end of the game when Sean Locklear was called for holding after Jeremy Stevens made an amazing catch near the Steeler's goal line, Madden said, "If there was holding on that play, I sure didn't see it!" For all you guys who say stop crying about it, that was six years ago, you'd be the same guys "cryin" if you were robbed in the Superbowl!
to this days even announcers admit that the seahawks had bullshit calls. soo obviously its not a conspiracy if commentators are stating this information
They were both offensive interference. That being said, I really hope Seattle does something of note so it's fans will have something to talk about other than a super bowl from over 5 years ago.
@FAITHandLOGIC I've told plenty of Steeler fans to get over it when the refs screw us over and they whine about it for weeks.
Granted, I didn't even take sides, as the no-call on hines ward was a missed call, and while the interference call on Seattle wasn't severe, NFL wide receivers are coached from day one to never extend their arm because it looks like a push off, though it does look like he gives a small push, though compared to Hines, it was minor.
The only reason Hawks fans cry about this is because they know this was the only chance they will ever have at a Superbowl. Aside from that year, it's such a garbage franchise. Surprised they haven't been mentioned recently for contraction or moving somewhere relevant. Go back to your coffee and fish Seattle and leave the football for real football cities
I dont know if you know dipsh*it, but first of all, Centurylink field is one of the top 3 loudest stadiums in the country. second of all, how are you gonna argue when the ref came out and even admitted that he knowingley made bad calls? Steelers are the dirtiest and cheapest team in the NFL. Some how they always win those games when mysterious and controversial calls are made. Pittsburgh Cheaters.....
@BowToWard86 The non-holding calls on Harrison are never mentioned. It is ridiculous how many times the Steelers have been screwed because of that. Faggot fans of other teams will never admit it, though, because there's a CONSPIRACY!!!!
There was 1 (one) missed call in this game that went in favor of the Steelers. That was the block they called on Hasselbeck after his INT. They said he blocked Townsend, but he really tackled Taylor (who had the ball). All the other calls were correct. As far as I can tell, Seahawks' fans biggest argument is usually "that was BARELY a penalty."
As for this video, Ward pushed off within or right at 5 yards of the line of scrimmage, where contact is allowed. Jackson was far beyond that.
You are so wrong.... Hahah I can name 3 off of the top of my head. 1. The hasselbeck one like you said, 2. The jackson one where he pushed off a little bit and was called, while 3. ward pushed off of his FACEMASK, and 4. I dont know if you saw the one where rothlisberger was stopped short and then crawled in and they called in a TD???? WTH, biggest cheaters in the NFL by far.............
@zingdoodle1 I agree, the Rothlisberger touchdown call was the worst call in Superbowl history, and no one really talks much about that play. The line judge never saw the ball break the plane of the goal, otherwise he would have thrown his arms up immediately. Instead, he ran in towards Ben, looked down after Ben moved the ball, and then threw his arms up. But I don't think anyone cheated, I just think the refs were affected by the Media blitz that said it was the Steelers destiny to win.
I watched every single foul in that game and the only wrong call was the the won when hassleback hit Townsend knees, so just because the seahawks where fouling and the refs were calling it it does not mean the seahawks got screwed over
If the stupid Seahawks were so good, the I guess they should have backed it up by returning to the Superbowl. Oh wait a minute, that never happened! Meanwhile the Steelers have been back two more times? Pick something else to whine about, like the fact that your team has sucked since '05.
@BitWrecker But it was ALSO right in front of the ref when Hines pushed off....Right in front of the ref when Big Ben ""FAILED" to get the ball across the plain and right in front of the ref on the other 15 times that Seattle got screwed. YOU my friend are the one that needs to get a clue!!!!
@lishsc3 The Ward contact was within 5 yards. They did screw up the Ben TD and Seattle fans love to cry about it AND they love to ignore the fact that their team gave up a 1st down when Pitt had the ball 3RD AND 28!! from the Seattle 40 to set that play up. The cry obout the 1 inch and choose to forget the 28 YARDS. Only other bad call against seattle was the Hasselbeck low block call. But Ben was blocked in the back on the Sea int return with no call so it cancels that one out. Other 15 times?
If the refs (that were paid by the steelers) don't call that pass interference, then Seattle goes up 7-0 and has momentum on their side and they would probably win the game if the other 5 bad calls get reversed.
@dconbaseball Among those "bad calls," I'm assuming that would include the obvious fumble by Jerramy Stevens that was recovered by Clark Haggans and was subsequently ruled an incomplete pass and given back to Seattle? Or the uncalled block in the back that was committed against Roethlisberger on the long interception return? Keep on bitching.
@mainevnet645 how can u not score in 19 mins they had pitt scorless for 19 mins straight n still lost thts jss making excuses n u c y the leauge hates the team
Both Offensive pass interference, the one in the endzone was probably more obvious to the refs, because they weren't running at full speed and it was more out in the open. The other one could have looked like a bump from a different angle. Blown call, that's what it is.
im a steelers fan and i admit there are some conterversial calls in this game, but dont blame the steelers blame the NFL for not making penalties challengable
this bullshit call plus the one that drove them back when that where at the 1 yard line could of meant that they would of won that game. Fucking NFL.... I'm not a huge seahawk fan but even I was completely disguised by this game.
All I know is the 2005 Seahawks were the best team to advance to Superbowl 40. Steelers got pretty lucky Colts sucked on divisional playoff game and Bill Leavy was on their side during the superbowl game.
No steelers fan will ever admit any wrong doing. That being said, this game was total horse shit. The refs made it pretty damn clear they were there to ensure pittsburgh would win. Tons of bullshit calls. The seahawks finally gave up. I've always known they got screwed but the proof came in 2009 when the head ref from that game visited seattle and said "I knowingly made wrong calls that directly affected the outcome of the game." I hate pittsburgh and all their stupid fans. Dirtiest team ever.
@gf19711Haha, sounds like all you steelers fans after the ravens swept your dumb asses this year, lol. And i'm not crying, just making a point that the steelers are the dirtiest team in the NFL.
@supraman1953 And yet we're still in the lead for the division by half a game. And if you were trying to make a point, you failed miserably, because you came off sounding like a typical crybaby puss, which is a Suckhawk's fan stock in trade.
@gf19711 I guess Seattle just doesn't have all that union money to buy refs like pittsburgh. I understand i pissed you off but i made my point just fine. That point being the game was controversial. I'm not crying. The game is over. The topic is the point of this video so my comments are relevant. What are you, the youtube police? At least i wrote with meaning instead of stuff like your first comment at me.
@supraman1953 Didn't piss me off. I simply called your whiny-assed crybaby BS out for what it is. Feel free to wring out that bloody tampon of yours and dry the tears already, babygirl. The pissing and moaning is beyond pathetic at this point.
@gf19711 Whats pathetic is how you attack someone you don't know based on the difference of view points. I could sit here and write the way you do but i don't feel the need. Funny, cause i actually cited facts and a quote from the ref yet you still say i'm crying, etc. You're not even arguing with me about the game, which is fine, you're simply acting like a typical rabid pittsburgh fan who can only insult on a childish level. This is pointless. Feel free to rebuttal. I'm done with this.
Yet ironically by classing all Pittsburgh fans into one group you're being just as childish as he is. Just let it go. This game was almost 6 years ago.
@supraman1953 OK, why do you think it took him over 4 years to "come clean?" Do you think it may have had anything to do with being in Seattle for the first time since that game was played and as such, felt a need to pander to the crowd? Secondly, Leavy stated that he "kicked two calls" in the 4th quarter - namely, the hold on Locklear (which WAS a hold) and the low block on Hasselbeck, and those aren't even the calls your ilk bitches the most about. But keep on playing "victim."
@supraman1953, I no longer care what you or any of the haters think. Actually, I welcome your rants since I went to this game and it lets me re-live this awesome victory as if it were yesterday.
That said, at least check your facts before ranting. #1, the ref did NOT make his comments in 2009 but the year after. #2, he only referred to TWO calls in the 4th Qtr. Honestly, any team willing to give up after only TWO bad calls went against them don't deserve to win anyway.
@supraman1953 how did the refs cheat seattle held them for 19 mins straight and still couldnt score but 3pts rlly 3pts 19 mins shoot ur self if my son played on tht shitty ass team n he couldnt score in 19 mins id slap the hell out of him thts terrible FB
@supraman1953 You should not use quotation marks if you are going to print your own version of the quote. The Ref said that he blew TWO calls in the 4TH QUARTER! One was the 15 yard penalty called on Hasslebeck tackle. Gave Pittsburgh 15 yards. But that bad call is washed out by the non call when Ben was blocked directly in the back at the Pit 40 on the Sea int return. Sea returned it to the 20 but the ball should have been spotted at the Sea 45. Thats 35 yards that were given to the Seahawks.
@supraman1953 No, he said " kicked two calls in the fourth quarter and I impacted the game, and as an official, you never want to do that." Not knowingly. Way to resort to a straw man to support an invalid point. Jesus, you Seahawks fans are jealous trolls. You lost. End of story. Deal with it, you whining pussy.
Man, the Ward thing wasn't just PI, it was hands to the face too. But those refs were idiots, the NFL is lucky those guys even made it to the stadium.
I'm off from watching BAL vs PIT on 11-06-11 Sunday Night Football. Torrey Smith wasn't called for OPI on the last play. Absolutely correct non-call. DJack on Superbowl. Should have never been called.
What hurt the Seahawks was that Holmgren simply seemed lost at times. If you want to see a botched call from the refs, check our James Harrison's 96 yard run which was ruled a TD, even though he's A) Clearly down on the one yard line, and B) in contact with Larry Fitzgerald, which would have ruled him down. No touchdown, half ends.
A football game can not be fixed...bad calls may effect the game to a certain point but Refs dont throw, catch, tackle, or score TDs.....gimme a break ppl
@raider1297 Ironic thing is, had the situation been reversed, and a Steelers WR been allowed to push off like that with no OPI call, Squawks fans would be bitching to beat the band about it.
@gf19711 youve got to be kidding me if you thought that was OPI, you are either biased or Goodell has had success into turning football into a pussy sport with his fans, because touching you or pushing you 1 inch isnt OPI, and what about the steelers TD which was OPI????? Push him 1 feet with a blow to the helmet and no OPI??? lol pathetic....
@raider1297 It was a pushoff, clear as day. He pushed the DB backwards and gained separation by doing so. That's OPI every day of the week. Either open your eyes or learn the rules.
@gf19711 dunny thing is why you dont comment on the steeler OPI, it wasnt ruled an OPI and it CLEARLY was, football is a contact sport though, it has his rules, but the Seahawk OPI was cearly not, I mean wtf dude i was a pushoff of about an inch, its just gay to call that OPI, YOU either let pride behind you or dont comment on this kind of vids
@gf19711 my comment made sense, it is a point of view, to me a simple 1 inch push shouldnt be called an OPI, but a blow to the head should, thats what im saying, you on ther other hand didnt reply and are trying to make me look dumb when I already shut you up
@AK47Rifle100 Not a small market at all, actually. Inbred Steeler fans would rather just have rapist Roethlisberger as their "marketable player," I guess. Go figure, huh?
@FMAlchemistEdElric How many Seahawk fans outside of Seattle Washington. Not too many. I never met a Seahawk fan outside of Seattle. A lot of Steeler fans that never even been to Pittsburgh PA. All about money
@AK47Rifle100 Your personal experiences unfortunately don't reflect whether or not a team is small market. The Steelers aren't even a big market team, just saying. The Seahawks are a mid-market team, as are the Steelers. According to Forbes' NFL team valuations in 2010, the Steelers ranked 17th and the Seahawks 19th. Hardly small market.
@FMAlchemistEdElric I think you're wrong. Steelers have fans that never even saw Pittsburgh PA. I know a lot of people who like Steelers. I don't think I know anybody that likes Seahawks. Not much history. All about money.
@AK47Rifle100 If that's what you wanna believe, go right ahead. I'd be willing to bet a good sized portion of the Steelers "fanbase" are nothing but bandwagonining fairweather fans who, like you said, have never been to Pittsburgh. That's not a good thing.
@raisin212k How'd they "job" the Cardinals, exactly? The no-call on the block in the back on Breaston's long punt return? The fifteen or so times Gandy practically fucking tackled Harrison with no holding call, besides the 3 he actually got tagged for? The bullshit "holding" call on Hartwig that copst the Steelers 2 points, possession of the ball and ultimately the lead in the game? The obvious trap by Fitz of his first TD "catch" that obviously hit the fucking ground? Keep on whining, babygirl.
@raisin212k ....yea ur argument might make sense unless you forget that the steelers went 90 yards in under 2 minutes while getting 2 bad holding calls in the process and still overcoming them to score a TD ..yea that was the refs fault tho.....
What a bunch of crybabies. The seahawks screwed themselves. Holding called on Locklear, the pushoff in the endzone, etc. Roethlisberger got the td. I've seen it 30 times. The ball brreaks the plane before he's down, then he pulls the ball back to avoid fumbling, THEN pushes the ball back where it was. The hawks performance was terrible in the 4th qtr. But hey, keep shitting your diapers. None of you can man up and admit defeat. Not one of you.
The Hines play wasn't Pass interference because the ball wasn't in the air. Also that would have been illegal touching down field, that penalty wasn't called because the quarterback was out of the pocket, which overrules that penalty. When people don't know the rules it pisses me off. In general there were missed calls against both sides, if every penalty was called, Steelers most likely still would have won, just the score would have been 21-17
@thispoorguy It doesn't matter if the ball is in the air... If you are down field and you shove someone off of you and run the other way, there is no way you will miss the ball. I used to think that wasn't pass interference, too, but now I know it is.
@thispoorguy it doesnt matter its still pass interference by hines ward...and when ben rapelisberger scrambled the ball didnt pass the white line therefore the score would have been 17-14 seahawks
Any Steeler fan who denies these terrible calls are just ignorant. Im not saying that if these calls were correctly made Seattle would have won, but without these calls we would have a lot better chance, a fair chance. And to say we wouldnt have won either way is ridiculous. The entire outcome of the game would have been completely different. Fess up Steeler fans, just admit it- that victory was a joke. The league should still be ashamed
@tiland520 the calls were terrible, but the steelers had nothing to do with it. the nfl is a business, and it all has to do with ratings. the league has better ratings when a bigger franchise (steelers) beats a smaller franchise (seahawks). the league needed pittsburgh to win that game, and unfortunetly the refs made it happen. this happened in the nba with that cheating ref, and it happened in this superbowl *Thank you billybobbobbillybob*
What no Seahawks fans wants to admit though is how the team didnt played WELL AT ALL. There maybe was a total of 2 bad calls in Super Bowl XL. But the Seahawks just couldnt score points on that defense. Thats why they lost.
@DrAnoyying if seattle would have scored the td that was called for pass interference, the final score would have been 21-14. If you take away ben's rush td from that but still add the field goal that would have been kicked by the steelers on the next play the final score would have been 17-14 steelers. The steelers still would have won and you can not deny that truth. I can understand what it feels like to lose a superbowl, seeing as the steelers just lost one, but the only thing you do as a...
@DrAnoyying fan when you put so much attention into losing the game is take away how great of a season seattle had and how much work the seahawks did that year. I'm sure that no player or coach on that seahawks team blames the refs for the loss so why should you??
@ParanoidFred Mike Holmgren did. He said something along the lines of, "I knew, coming into the game, that we were going to play the Pittsburgh Steelers. I didn't know we were playing the men in pinstripes too" and I completely agree with him. Steelers XL victory will always have an asterisk next to it.
Why did you omit the penalties committed by the 'Hawks? Like holding on Sean Locklear? Afraid your precious widdle team would be seen as fairly losing that game? And what about the poor time management by Seattle in the 4th qtr? Instead of working sidelines, the KEPT THE BALL IN THE FIELD WITH TIME RUNNING OUT. The Steelers won it because they earned it, and you can't man up and admit it because you're a such a crybaby.
ok listen to this. there is a thing called a 5 yard chuck rule. thats wat hines ward did. the one dude in the endzone pushed him. clearly more then a 5 yard push
@batistapl17 It was 6 yards. Pittsburgh was lined up at the 40, and the foul occurred at the 34 yard line. Besides, that should have been called a personal foul because it was blatant hands to the face.
@garyjgriz (laughs) Wow, one whole yard. For missing that call the ref should have had pliers and a blowtorch applied to his testicles. Not saying this was a well-officiated Super Bowl, there were certainly bad calls against BOTH teams and some ticky-tacky stuff as well. But the Steelers would have won anyway, for many reasons people on this board have already mentioned. The Hines Ward one was not a grave error, a very minor one at worst.
One of many video's? bring on them all on !!! I will debate them. Don't forget the non call on the block in the back of big ben on the Sea int return to cancel out the bad call on the hasselbeck low block. Other than that ... BRING IT, OR SHUT THE FUCK UP>>> BABIES !!!
Hah, keep crying about it. In the end, Steelers came out as champions and there's nothing you can do about it. Ohh and all of you complaining about calls... EVERY SUPERBOWL HAS BAD CALLS. :)
All we hear about if how the refs screwed up. I'll admit they did with the Big Ben touchdown. But take that away, and what do you get? Steelers score on the next play...or maybe not. Either way, you still lose by 4 points. Get over it, huh?
If the Seahawks were good enough to win the NFC Championship then they're good enough to overcome adversity. They had the entire second half to do so however, they gave up 2 big touchdown plays and that's why they lost.
im guessing the seahawks fans thought they got screwed in the Sunday loss also? I mean really turds??? its done.....the steelers won... whether you like it or not...FACT is that you ll never get to another one again unless you fix that SHITTY group of players you even call a team....I mean seriously....the Steelers threw a wide receiver pass on you guys to FUCK WITH YOU!!!!! hell..sanders could of played the whole game and still played better then Tavris Jackson....LOL CRYHAWKS...SEASUCKS..BLOW

FAITHandLOGIC 1 month ago
@FAITHandLOGIC I've told plenty of Steeler fans to get over it when the refs screw us over and they whine about it for weeks.
Granted, I didn't even take sides, as the no-call on hines ward was a missed call, and while the interference call on Seattle wasn't severe, NFL wide receivers are coached from day one to never extend their arm because it looks like a push off, though it does look like he gives a small push, though compared to Hines, it was minor.

he we go start crying because you did not win
sam12322123 1 month ago

Pittsburgh Cheaters.....
zingdoodle1 1 month ago
No one ruled that it wasn't PI, it simply wasn't called/missed. It happens every week to teams around the league, get over yourself.
The past couple f years should be proof enough that Pittsburgh not only gets it's fair share of penalties, but is often targeted unfairly.

AllTheBaconAndEggs 1 month ago
@AllTheBaconAndEggs
WTH, biggest cheaters in the NFL by far.............
zingdoodle1 1 month ago
@zingdoodle1 I agree, the Rothlisberger touchdown call was the worst call in Superbowl history, and no one really talks much about that play. The line judge never saw the ball break the plane of the goal, otherwise he would have thrown his arms up immediately. Instead, he ran in towards Ben, looked down after Ben moved the ball, and then threw his arms up. But I don't think anyone cheated, I just think the refs were affected by the Media blitz that said it was the Steelers destiny to win.
stilldreamin57 1 month ago
I watched every single foul in that game and the only wrong call was the the won when hassleback hit Townsend knees, so just because the seahawks where fouling and the refs were calling it it does not mean the seahawks got screwed over
meanmidget17 1 month ago
He clearly pushed off. if it wasnt called and ruled a td then it would have been a bad call.

lishsc3 1 month ago
@lishsc3 The Ward contact was within 5 yards. They did screw up the Ben TD and Seattle fans love to cry about it AND they love to ignore the fact that their team gave up a 1st down when Pitt had the ball 3RD AND 28!! from the Seattle 40 to set that play up. The cry obout the 1 inch and choose to forget the 28 YARDS. Only other bad call against seattle was the Hasselbeck low block call. But Ben was blocked in the back on the Sea int return with no call so it cancels that one out. Other 15 times?

If the refs (that were paid by the steelers) don't call that pass interference, then Seattle goes up 7-0 and has momentum on their side and they would probably win the game if the other 5 bad calls get reversed.
dconbaseball 2 months ago
@dconbaseball Among those "bad calls," I'm assuming that would include the obvious fumble by Jerramy Stevens that was recovered by Clark Haggans and was subsequently ruled an incomplete pass and given back to Seattle? @supraman1953 OK, why do you think it took him over 4 years to "come clean?" Do you think it may have had anything to do with being in Seattle for the first time since that game was played and as such, felt a need to pander to the crowd? Secondly, Leavy stated that he "kicked two calls" in the 4th quarter - namely, the hold on Locklear (which WAS a hold) and the low block on Hasselbeck, and those aren't even the calls your ilk bitches the most about. But keep on playing "victim."
gf19711 2 months ago
@supraman1953, I no longer care what you or any of the haters think. Actually, I welcome your rants since I went to this game and it lets me re-live this awesome victory as if it were yesterday.
That said, at least check your facts before ranting. #1, the ref did NOT make his comments in 2009 but the year after. #2, he only referred to TWO calls in the 4th Qtr. Honestly, any team willing to give up after only TWO bad calls went against them don't deserve to win anyway.

vonzswaylo100 1 month ago
@supraman1953 You should not use quotation marks if you are going to print your own version of the quote. The Ref said that he blew TWO calls in the 4TH QUARTER! One was the 15 yard penalty called on Hasslebeck tackle. Gave Pittsburgh 15 yards. But that bad call is washed out by the non call when Ben was blocked directly in the back at the Pit 40 on the Sea int return. Sea returned it to the 20 but the ball should have been spotted at the Sea 45. Thats 35 yards that were given to the Seahawks.

Not one of you.
cincyblows 3 months ago
The Hines play wasn't Pass interference because the ball wasn't in the air. Also that would have been illegal touching down field, that penalty wasn't called because the quarterback was out of the pocket, which overrules that penalty. When people don't know the rules it pisses me off. In general there were missed calls against both sides, if every penalty was called, Steelers most likely still would have won, just the score would have been 21-17
thispoorguy 3 months ago
@thispoorguy It doesn't matter if the ball is in the air... If you are down field and you shove someone off of you and run the other way, there is no way you will miss the ball. I used to think that wasn't pass interference, too, but now I know it is.

Yes Seattle, the rest of the NFL is with you, the refs stole your superbowl.

If the Seahawks were good enough to win the NFC Championship then they're good enough to overcome adversity. They had the entire second half to do so however, they gave up 2 big touchdown plays and that's why they lost.
