What makes me angry is that I wasn't there in the beginning of the Halo-era. 2005 I had afford with Halo 2, I was like OMG for the first time in my life because of a VIDEO GAME.

After that I bought CE then H2 then H3 etc. That said years ago my friend with an xbox let me play his CE and I loved it so much I lost intrest in the other FPS I was playing at the time entirely. Unfortunally I couldnt afford an xbox back then so came late to the series.

Master Chief doesnt need his shields. Its been shown that Spartans can still kick ass without any sort of energy shields. Master Chief has a strength, speed, and agility. The "technology" that shepard has would probably end up useless because Chief could avoid all or most of the attacks.

Look, Ive done a little research, and ME's technology isnt WAY more advanced than Chief's. Chief survived a 6 kilometer fall with the only problem was an armor-lockdown. Whereas, Shepard falls from orbit and is "nothing but tubes". Thus, Chief has pretty advanced armor. Plus, if we're going on canon here, Chief's armor, without shields, can take quite a beating. It has titanium alloy plating and a gel layer.

He can still drain those shields off of the chief and then he can short the computer systems in his armour and then comes lasers.... Plasma kicks the shit out of chiefs armour.... This fight wasnt fair from the start. An RPG vs. FPS fight isnt a fair setup. Master Chief is always the same no matter what; same guns, same shields, same everything. On the other hand, RPG's give an unfair advantage in customizations. Different weapons, different abilities. I say get rid of all the tech and have Chief face Shepard one on one in hand to hand combat. Thats much more fair.

Btw, if we're talking tech, then Noble Six would be a better opponent than the Chief.

Reach was the military forefront for R&D in weapons tech. That being said, anything that was in production on Reach (prototypes) when it got glassed, was destroyed, along with any blueprints about it. The Armor Abilities were one such thing, plus they were being purely made for Spartans only. And the Covenant were not destroyed on Reach, but the Covenant's AA's were almost the same result: The Fleet that was outfitted with AA's was destroyed.
