The plan was to make Clark admit who he was and stop hiding. She thought she was doing the right thing, she actually meant well.

@Sepharite They've pretty much always done where Clark had to actually focus his hearing for superhearing to work. The lone exception I can think of, besides when he first develops superhearing, is later in season 4 when Clark loses his memory and Chloe informs him of what she knows about his powers. He hears someone running, and later Chloe whispers at the mansion and Clark is able to hear her. Apart from that, he's always had to concentrate to use his superhearing.

Just a random thought: wouldn't Clark catching the car have basically the same effect as if the car had followed on its course...he's effectively makiing the car go from about 60mph to nothing in an instant, which is what car crashes are all about...wouldn't Chloe and Alesia be thrown foward with the same impact?

...anyway that's being really pinickity isn't it! xD I love scenes like this in Smallville where people find out his secret, but the newest series is getting rather wierd.

@EvanDotMac I know they're not in the car, I never said they were, what I was saying is that Clark thought they WERE in the car, and his method of saving them was to catch a car flying through the air at terriffic speed, bringing a moving object from about 70mph to 0mph in a split second, which is basically what causes the injuries in a car crash.

Just a nerdy point, but I couldn't help thinking it. It looks cool doing it like that of course, but in reality it wouldn't be very safe.
