  • I need to make that!

  • I am so making this this weekend!

  • Very easy to understand and very authentic! Thank you! I'm making this today for my boyfriend and let's hope the dumplings turn out well

  • Hi! My name is Veronica. I'm mexican and I love Oriental food. I always thought dumplings were very complicated to make. I am so impressed that is not. Thank you so much for shearing this with all of us. I will try it a soon as possible. =)

  • For the soup did you say "powdered wonton" ?

  • @WithurShield When he said powdered wonton, he meant wonton soup base mix, which comes in a powder.

  • @SoulSavior Thank you! ;O)

  • This video makes me hungryyyy

  • LOL. your laugh reminds me of kevjumbas dad (:

    great cooking btw :D

  • LOL did your wife just smash your son with a snow ball

  • wow I'm really hungry now

  • :D I'm going to try this!! It was posted 2 days after my birthday, so I think I'll make this an after birthday soup.

  • kai what country are you from , i always thought you were from china , hong kong or even shang hai

  • dumplings are the best

  • What did you seal the dumplings with?

  • @nubapowner5000 He used eggs to seal the dumplings, or you can just use water instead.

  • looks easy to make it ...we will see soon...luckily i live close to a Chinese market...thank you for the video...

  • your wife & son must be very lucky! i grew up eating my mom's cooking. my dad does not how to cook

I'm so fortunate to live close to an Asian market, so I'll be in there every week:) I love that place anyway, but now I know what to buy. I always wanted to learn how to cook this way, but now I am so inspired by your channel. Thank you!

  • What powder is that?

  • kai, what are the vegetables you recommend?

  • this looks to good! i feel hungry for dumpling soup now!!!!!

  • this looks soooo amazingly good! my goodness!

  • What kind of powder was that?

  • Thankyou so much Kai.

  • that looks very good!!!

  • is this the same as wonton soup.?

  • I was wondering, what do you use to seal the wonton? I couldnt catch what you said (sorry!). Other than that this looks so delicious!

  • @girafales007

    It's dumplings not wontons, lol.

    You seal it with eggs.

You take a egg, crack it into a bowl and you beat it.

Dip your finger into it and seal the outside of the dumpling wrappers.

  • Wontons are dumpling wrappers. The dumpling is the whole thing (seasoned meat and wonton). He uses whisked egg but you could use a little 'flour-water' paste to seal! They look effective, dont they?

  • yummy

  • ooooo sooo tasty thanks will try it soon =)

  • You wash the meat to get a little of the blood and crap off it to get a nice clear stock.

  • what was that powder?

  • wonton powder

  • @tigerbeetle1 wonton powder he said

  • you r awesome

  • im so hungrey right now

  • I love this recipe Kai... it really is simple to make, but it really does warm you up during the cold winter. Thanks again for another great Vid!

  • yummy!

  • hi kai:) great recipe, i was wondering what you could do with the pork bone after you boil the stock? thanks!

  • thanks for the nice recipe , I make it almost the same,

  • i like this....

  • Yeah, get that wife and son shoveling!!! lol

I've made a few of your dishes, and they kicked ass. Thanks for sharing this stuff bro!

  • what???

  • looks good, too complicated tho

  • nice new opening

  • Kai, is there a reason you don't boil the dumplings in your soup broth? I figured it would add more flavor to the soup as you're wasting the flavor of the dumplings by boiling them separately.

  • @joker5266 good question

  • Dumpling's wrapper made out of flour, too much flour in hot soup broth it will become thicken

  • mmm nice`

  • Dumplings season eh. Mitsubishi mushroom ha ha ha. Good meal man, keep em coming!

  • simple recipe! Kai post more cooking videos! Request: Vietnamese steamed pork buns (banh bao) a.k.a. Chinese baozi. Thanks.

  • What was the purpose of tying the green onions into a loose knot? Is this just to make them fit in the pot easier?

  • Yes, beside I ran out of white onion.LOL

  • Gotcha! :D

  • @ltkman hey kai i love your videos and wanna say thanks for taking the time to teach us especialy since my grandfather died before i was born i dont really know how to cook asian food so anyways my point is its nice of you thanks soo much

    limited or rally sport =.=?

  • hmm soup, nice intro Kai another job well done. Thank you

  • cool soup

  • I LOVE dumpling soup. I want some!!!

  • Looks so tasty!

  • oh man...funny la this guy...

  • what was the powder that he added to the broth in the beginning?

  • @choowee wonton powder. broth for wonton soup.

  • he said wonton powder or beef broth powder.

  • love the intro song . Nice recipe.

  • you should wash the meat first!

  • I'm sure he does that every morning...

  • @lovevsabsence

What?? How in the hell are you supposed to wash ground meat?

  • @wonderbung oh. i meant the bones. to wash away the blood and the little bits of bones.

  • im not trying toi be rude but why would you wash the meat o_Owash your hands yes but meat? the temp is going ot kill the possible bacteria or pathogens anyway

  • I think its maybe more to wash the blood and stuff out of the meat. I see that all the time

  • @iHaveOneArm because when the person who cuts the meat/bones does it. they don't wash it or anything. so there will definitely be bits and pieces of bone. if you feel a piece of meat, you can feel the rough bits that can be washed off.

  • I've been making dumpling soup lately, it's great. I will try your version next.

  • what kind of flavor does the Green Onion add to the soup?

  • Green onion flavor.

  • How did you wash the bones in the beginning so the broth won't smell?

  • He didn't.

  • awesome!!!!!!!!!1

  • The green veggie in the soup, is that baby bok choy? See that in a lot of Chinese soups.

  • I hate you! you made my rats run in my stomach!

  • Lol... evil, making your wife and son shovel the snow while you stand there and laugh!

  • Looks so very good, Kai...

I will have to try it! Keep warm!

  • Yes Kai, force your son to shovel! :DD

  • Oh it looks so easy when you do it. It looks great!

Nothing better than a nice hot bowl of soup. I wish I could fold those dumplings like that. Thanks for showing us. Video looks great.

    Lauren:)

  • Glad that I don't have snow, I hate that stuff. But it would be nice to come into a nice bowl of that that!

  • i have almost everything to make this but i have no dumpling wrappers..bummed now=\

  • It is so rainy and cold where I am. I would love to have some of that soup!
