You know the pop-up redsn0w and IPSW file, right? You can do that without iTunes. LITERALLY.

Connect iPhone then click redsn0w then browse file for IPSW file then click iPad Baseband and whatever you need including Cydia then click next then

you TURN OFF your iPhone then do the process like pressing buttons then pray that it works on your iPhone.

@adhamns Jailbreak allows you to install non apple approved apps. Hacktivate is just activating the phone - if you have T-mobile or no SIM at all you need to be activated to get past the lock screen. Hacktivating tricks the phone to thinking it has been activated by AT&T.

thanks worked for me, you have to update to 3.1.2 otherwise it won't work, it will just stay at the silver apple, what you do after is you update it throught itunes PNU mode and just follow the above instructions. also if you run into that plug into itunes logo to activate the iphone, just follow the instructions above and unlock it and it will activate after it installs....i have a 2g iphone.

have you had any luck connecting to wifi? You do have wifi at your home right? Whats stopping you from connecting to wifi (does it not see any networks, will it not connect to a network it sees)? You cannot go any farther until you get it connected to wifi for internet.

you did reset network settings and then restart? It says that because you aren't online. If resetting network settings does not work I would probably try restoring and doing blackra1n again. Good luck!

how old is his iphone? You want to run blackra1n with a fresh restore of 3.1.2, it doesnt matter how you restore, as long as it is a fresh 3.1.2.

Well, press and hold both the power and home button until it turns off, keep holding both buttons until the apple logo appears. When the apple logo appears let go of the power but keep holding the home button. This puts it in recovery mode and itunes will then make you restore (and update in the process) when you plug it into the computer.

update firmware by plugging it into itunes, it automatically bugs to update. If it doesnt you need to put the phone in recovery mode which takes 20 seconds.. hold power+hold until you see an apple logo, then let go of power but keep holding hold. Done..

I think you have been blocked... ATT knows if you put a sim in and dont have the iphone data plan. I would put the sim in another phone and see if it is blocked or not. A friend of mine had his account suspended for 3 days for putting his sim in an ipohone w/out data plan.

yes, however you should save yourself some money and get it off ebay. Also, keep in mind you will only have edge speed internet on t-mobile towers. Its not possible to use an AT&T phone on T-mobile's 3G towers.

I had this problem with my 2G, I restored it over and over and ran blackra1n and the phone would stay locked (it will not hacktivate) Basically, all I did to fix is was try from a different computer and it worked first time. I would restore it and try blackra1n from a diff. computer.

Everything works great, however, when I try and sync my music and cracked applications that i had previously gotten off installous, they don't sync!! Help please!! Itunes goes through the whole syncing process and it goes thorugh "installing" each application but when it's done, no apps on my phone. aaahh HELP please!!!!

the syncing of cracked apps has changed a bit since then. There is an app you need to install on the iphone, and I dont think its called installous anymore. You should google "Transfer cracked apps to iphone 3.1.2"

you need appsync 3.1 just like you needed appsync 3.0 on 3.0.1 firmware!
