We have a 6 mont old gsp. How old was Adenine when you began training with a frisbee? Whats the best way to get started? Have you ever had your dog run into something on accident because he's concentrating on the frisbee? Looks like SO much fun! I would love to train my dog to do that off leash at a huge park....probably not a dog park though!! Might not be a good idea if 2 dogs reach the frisbee at the same time!
@haydn4ever Never had a problem with running into anything. This is actually the same dog that you asked about on the running through the pool video. So you can see he does a pretty good job of avoiding trees! He was about a year old in this video so I probably started working with him around 6 months old or so. I would check out zakgeorge21's videos on training how to play frisbee. He does a great job and that's how I got started.
It looks like Adenine, is pretty good at it. When I play frisbee with my GSP, it's more of a problem of me not throwing it right, or the wind too strong. It has to be catch-able. I play frisbee with him 2 to 3 times a day. My dog also drops it in front of my feet much like yours. Sometimes he folds the frisbee in half with his jaw when he brings it back, other times he brings it back upside down and it's filled with rocks, dirt, and other debris. It's fun for sure!
@cashstore1 At this point, he only catches it about half the time, but most of it is my fault with terrible throws. lol. But it is funny to see him try to pick the frisbee up off the ground. A lot of times he just ends up with a mouthful of grass.
