I'm a beginner level player in a 15 week course at my college. I guess we're 6-7 weeks in at this point and I believe we need to select a piece to work on to perform at the end of the semester as a final of sorts. ANYWAY, Earthbound is my favorite game of all time and I really wanted to find a piano arrangement to work on for my final. The point of the story is: Thank you for crushing my hopes and dreams as it will take me quite a while to reach this level of playing. 5 stars either way.

They own 1/3 of the copyright of the Pokemon Series, and helped create the all of the games along with Game Freak, so obviously there will be a few similarities between both game series, like there being no father around, and getting a bicycle for free.

also, Earthbound for VC has been (while not officially) announced. It's been rated by the ESRB as a wii game, and Nintendo says that if it sells well, it MAY change their decision to keep it overseas. And if it doesn't, the translation patch is almost done.

Many MOTHER fans hate Pokemon? I like both, just because one great game didn't become famous and the other didn't doesn't mean you have to hate it. Pokemon became famous because of it's concept of capturing monsters of all different shapes and sizes, and training them. MOTHER was all about the music, the story, and the emotion, while Pokemon's stories tend to be slightly generic.

Guys, there's no need to get riled up over the whole Pokemon/Earthbound thing. Fact is, there IS a connection between the two; many of the same developers who worked on the original Mother games went on to work on the Pokemon franchise as well.

In fact, the original developer of Mother, "Ape", is today called "Creatures, Inc", who owns 1/3 of the entire Pokemon franchise.

Hell, Smash Bros. was the reason why I played and loved Earthbound. Ness was awesome in Smash, how he killed with a yo-yo and such, I had an obssesion to play the game. Then some folks moved in...and they had Earthbound! And it was as awesome as I knew it would be.
