@Brian1304 Knot or loop, doesn't matter. You can use a dyneema sling or accessory cord (there are many things). What it tells you is how to do the knot. I now have the knowledge to do a prusik. The video is good. Your criticism is not needed.
@michdudeada If you are going to put up a video at least get the nomenclature right. A prusik is not a knot, or a "loop," it is a hitch. If you are going to tell someone that it is a "smaller" cord shouldn't you be more specific and tell them 6mm perlon in case they want to go buy one? Smaller cord could mean anything including 4mm cord which would be unsafe. I agree that you can use a sling but there is no mention in the video of using a sling. I stand by my criticism.
Check out the j-arms frictionless descender. Search for j-arms on You Tube. This device is unreal. There is nothing like on the market today. There is always an easier solution.

It's Prusik HITCH not Prusik KNOT. There is a difference. A loop of "smaller" cord. You mean like 6mm perlon? Poor video.
