I always loved seeing good drummers with simple sets. Alot of metal drummers think your not good till you have 12 cymbals and two bass drums. I guess thats the difference between this band and say like JFAC. JFAC has very little diversity in the guitar work (still sounds good) and its mostly vocal and drum driven. They use a pretty big set. While most of the diversity for this band is in the guitar. I dont care I just love music.

As far as i'm aware, almost all modern metal drum recordings have samples mixed in. Primarily to the kick and snare. Recording on an electric drum kit and triggering via Superior Drummer 2.0 gives you exactly the same performance ...on perfectly recorded drums! It's a no brainer and effective solution to recording in a quiet apartment.
