Why is the dud on his back....See there's more to it then just this shit happening, We all don't know the whole story but from what I saw is the guy that hit the cop was in the wrong. Until I see how the crack head on the ground got there, this dude that ran up on the boys and hit the dude is wrong. I see someone laying in the streets resisting arrest with a group of people looking on, and then some white dude hits a cop. Then people wanna say brutality on the boys for cuffing the guy that hitem
“When a person, being without fault, is in a place where he has a right to be, is violently assaulted, he may, without retreating, repel by force, and if, in the reasonable exercise of his right of self defense, his assailant is killed, he is justified.” Runyan v. State, 57 Ind. 80; Miller v. State, 74 Ind. 1.
@MedicalMarijuanaMini “These principles apply as well to an officer attempting to make an arrest, who abuses his authority and transcends the bounds thereof by the use of unnecessary force and violence, as they do to a private individual who unlawfully uses such force and violence.” Jones v. State, 26 Tex. App. I; Beaverts v. State, 4 Tex. App. 1 75; Skidmore v. State, 43 Tex. 93, 903.
I personally cannot wait until this dying culture of ours finally implodes and all these pseudo-intellectual pussy-boy anarchist wannabe douche bags get to taste the fruits of their ideology (or lack thereof)
Of course, they'll be the first people to be eliminated by the savages they claim to support in their self-important and false flag-ops of cybil libbrotees :P
By the way..I'll be the guy in the woods with the AK-47 and 1000 rounds of ammo..just in case you were wondering - Peace & Love :P
Big shout out to the police officer that introduced that dumbass's face to his boot. This video would have been better if we had heard that bitch crying "I think you broke my nose!".
most people will see this and assume that the black man on the ground did something wrong. but you can't assume that. it is not illegal to resist an illegal arrest. moreover, the charge of "resisting arrest" is one that the pigs will surely throw at you, even if they shouldn't have arrested you in the first place.
@ayudameolvidarla There is no such thing as an "Illegal arrest". Sound crazy? Read up on criminology. an officer could place you under arrest for up to 24 hours, with no charges.
If you resist arrest, you are doing just that. It's a crime. Now if you resist arrest and no other crimes are pressed against you, usually resisting arrest will be dropped.
The guy who jumped the cops, is lucky he was not shot.
it is ILLEGAL to resist EVEN an ILLEGAL ARREST. Supects dont have a say on wether they get arrested or not. If it IS an illegal arrest...it will be cought on the arraingment or even at the police station by supervisors and the suspect would be let go immediately. A wonderful country this is with all these checks and balances that other countries dont have. Try attacking a cop in Russia, Brazil, or China......even on an illegal arrest and see what happens.
@mannix111 “Citizens may resist unlawful arrest to the point of taking an arresting officer's life if necessary.” Plummer v. State, 136 Ind. 306. This premise was upheld by the Supreme Court of the United States in the case: John Bad Elk v. U.S., 177 U.S. 529.
“An illegal arrest is an assault and battery. The person so attempted to be restrained of his liberty has the same right to use force in defending himself as he would in repelling any other assault and battery.” (State v. Robinson, 145 ME. 77, 72 ATL. 260).
“Each person has the right to resist an unlawful arrest. In such a case, the person attempting the arrest stands in the position of a wrongdoer and may be resisted by the use of force, as in self- defense.” (State v. Mobley, 240 N.C.
“One may come to the aid of another being unlawfully arrested, just as he may where one is being assaulted, molested, raped or kidnapped. Thus it is not an offense to liberate one from the unlawful custody of an officer, even though he may have submitted to such custody, without resistance.” (Adams v. State, 121 Ga. 16, 48 S.E. 910).
@ayudameolvidarla Really? wow...you're such a wise sage!! or maybe just a bigoted dumbfuck!!
I vote the latter ;)
Pigs? hmmmm.... maybe a little bigotry here?
The cops look like they're following proper protocols to me, but do you have some info the rest of us don't have? hmmmmm? I doubt it....you're just a bigoted scumbag who hates "PIGS" as you call them.
If the cops were really such horrid people, they would have annihilated that asshole who attacked them.... I sure as hell would have ;)
it always amazes me that people can see the same footage and have such vastly different interpretations depending on the race of the person doing it. an increasing body of research is documenting that this is based heavily on race. go to implicit.harvard.edu and see for yourself.
Just looked up the back story to this video. Apparently the man being arrested SMASHED his car door into a cop car, got out of his vehicle intoxicated and when police tried to arrest him the second man (who punches the police officer) got involved.
Thank you for making no mention of the back story while calling the police officers racist when they went to apprehend an INTOXICATED individual who had broken the law right in front of them! Goes to show how misinformed you are ayudameolvidarla
@m2e1 WRONG! the man whose door smacked into the cop car was the same one who punched the pig. thanks for the laugh. your faltering grasp of the facts aside, my point has been (1) there are ethical reasons why people in ghettos across the US think the police are an occupying force and (2) you and many of the other people on this discussion have no basis for assuming that the arrest was lawful and seemed, to me and others, to be assuming the man on the ground was guilty until proven innocent
@m2e1 i'm not trying to make this personal, but your attacks on me and others on this list are mean spirited. when did you get like this? you evince a kind of passion that could be used to help the poor folks in the ghetto fight back. why, then, do you insist on blaming them for their own poverty while serving as an apologist for the people who keep them there? do you have a conscience to go with that passion? listen.
@m2e1 number 1, u need to get ur facts right. dude is right, u caint even read. the one that was on the ground wuznt the one that got drunk and hit a cop car. u r wrong. we still dont kno why the po po was fukking with him so dont assume cuz u make an ass outta yrself. number2, ayuda thx for fightin these kkk peckerwoods. im writing a paper on racists on youtube. m2e1 is a racist, im using her words ta write my shit about racists n they dam lies. keep figtin deez pigs!power 2 tha people!!
We got you, we got you. Got them doing what? Arresting a guy who just committed a felony on camera? That dumbass is lucky he didn't get tased or shot. What a retard.
Fuck cops, kill all these motherfucking legal gang members!
I have lived in the most violent hoods in Canada; and the cops were more trouble then any motherfucking 'gang banger'... Most 'gang bangers' are just protecting their neighbourhoods from motherfucking monsters like the Government...
THE AMERICAN GOVERNMENT ENGINEERED TERRORISTS BY MASS BOMBING IRAQ THROUGH THE 1990'S!!! YOU ARE THE BAD GUYS!!! YOU ARE THE TERRORISTS!!!
@learrus "Most 'gang bangers' are just protecting their neighbourhoods from motherfucking monsters like the Government..."
Gangbangers are parasites who oppress their own communities, kill innocents, corrupt children, they wreck and ruin lives. The threat of death or violence hangs over anyone in the community who speaks out against them. They are only about the money and the lifestyle. "Brotherhood", "Family", "Loyalty", "Love" are all just a front for them.
The police are the only gang I fear; the rest are just trying to survive, the mentality you speak of was bred in Federal Prisons in America... The same reason as the breeding of Terrorists, to have an enemy to fight.
What I see here: Cops making a legal arrest. Idiot number 1 records and makes ignorant "woe is me" comments. Idiot number 2 assaults a police officer and his partners use appropriate force to get the assailant off the officer. Finally the last officer understandably wants the crowd to keep their distance. He never once tells anyone to stop recording, no unnecessary violence is used, no one got tazed. What's the problem here? Oh I know, idiots being idiots and cops being cops.
@ayudameolvidarla Actually my basis for claiming a legal arrest comes from the fact that police can arrest you for ANYTHING. If you are suspect for anything they can arrest you. It does not make you guilty, and it doe not mean you will get a criminal record or even be detained. So yes, it was a legal arrest. Get over it.
@Lucavii Agreed. Lately Ive become more and more disgusted with law enforcement, but this one was handled pretty reasonably. The first one to throw a punch or kick was the non cop that decked the one trying to make the arrest. Im not sure if the one cop would have stopped without the camera in his face, but he happened to stop at the same moment they separated the old guy from the cop. Kudos for not going straight to the guns.
Ya, lots of people fill their lives with lies & build up so much insecurity that they blame everyone except for themselves for their stress, usually cops.
And now he's gonna spend the rest of his fuckin' life in prison .... that's what happens when u make cops swear allegiance to God and Jesus Christ and Allah like in the USA. FUck religion! Then again I'm not scared of physical violence as I'm 6'9" tall and weigh 300lbs. COme ant me u faggot cops.
If you've ever been out in "The Real World"; and had Faggot Cops "Come at you"; you'd realize size has little to do with anything when they've got you fucking hog tied and start smashing your head into the pavement like they did to me...
Fucking stupid kid... Go get som real world experience...
a white guy in the ultimate act of friendship sacrifices himself so that his black friend can make it home to his daughters birthday, a powerful tale of humanity coming together to help one another.
So you get yourself a felony to save someone else from getting arrested? Unless he is a millionaire and can post your bail I don't see how it could be worth it.
In a lot of these police videos you see clear abuse happening. Here all I can see is a guy resisting arrest by trying to stay on his side/back so of course they are going to have to force him. Even when they do you don't see them kick him or punch him but just attempt to push him onto his stomach. All that white guy managed to do was assault a cop and get a criminal record for no reason. I want to say good on him for trying to help but no, he is an idiot.
@serimorph you assume he is resisting a legitimate arrest. on what basis do you make that assumption? it wouldn't be because he is black and in a poor neighborhood where lots of black and brown people live, would it? are ya sure?
OP, can you provide an explanation as to why the first individual was being apprehended in the first place? There needs to be more context before we can claim that the 2nd one was right in assaulting a police officer.
@kjaonline Yeah I just had a small conversation with this dude via comments. Extremely close-minded mentality towards law enforcement and believes that everything revolves around racism and that his "hood" is a target for police rape and killings...
Suspect was resisting arrest, so naturally the cops have to force him to submit. This is the way it works, what would you have them do? Let the dude just go because he was struggling? And then the other guy assaults a police officer, and the officers had every right to shoot the retard, much less give him the fight he was apparently looking for. Only the highest echelon of stupid people would openly assault a police officer.
@StWikked and you're assuming he was being arrested for some legitimate reason--which means that you have never lived as a black or brown person in a neighborhood like this one in all your impressionable years and hence do not know of what you speak. and you're also assuming that proper protocol (your reference to "this is the way it works" for instance) is in any way ethical. people on this thread (and this street) are making an ETHICAL indictment of the police.
@ayudameolvidarla And on that note, what the fuck have you done lately besides finger fucking a camera? You tout all this shit about "ETHICS ETHICS ETHICS," but I didn't see you helping anyone there. If shooting started and someone was injured, would you drop your camera and help? Or would you keep recording your own "ethical breakdown of America?" Post a video of you working at a homeless shelter or soup kitchen, and I might give a damn what you say.
@suraxis how do you know i'm the camera man? how do you know i even live there? your mind is making assumptions not warranted by the evidence. relax and listen to what people are actually saying.
@ayudameolvidarla So automatically you assume the cops were arresting him for no reason.
Notice it was the BLACK cop trying to cuff the BLACK perp. Then when the WHITE civilian struck the WHITE cop, it was the ASIAN cop who kicked him in the face to get him to let go.
@patientzero532 actually, i don't assume anything. explain to me where i even used those terms. i have only ever said that we don't know he was a criminal. most people assume that he was a criminal because of where this incident takes place and who lives there.
also, i'm curious about why the race of the cops matters to you. (it doesn't to me or to anyone here. as i've said many times here, the police are an occupying force.) all kinds of cops abuse and harass black and brown poor folks.
@ayudameolvidarla Do you even read your own posts!? You JUST WROTE that race doesn't matter to you, and then in the next sentence, you accuse cops of harassing black and brown folks. And yes, you make assumptions. Although you do not use the word "assume" in your text, your assumptions are implicit, by the way you express yourself.
You actually impress me as just some young kid, who can't formulate a thought, and who just blows hot air. Interest lost.
@patientzero532 in the future, when framing an argument about what someone has said, try quoting. it's quite a stretch to say that i said "race doesn't matter" to me. in fact, i'm virtually certain that is not what i said. when you can frame your argument without leaning on strawmen, holler at me then. it is true, though, that police (of all races) routinely antagonize black and brown youths. if you are getting most of your info about the ghetto from the news, you probably won't grasp this.
@ayudameolvidarla Christ you're an idiot. Probably a real treat, in person. Having a discussion with you must be excruciatingly painful. I get the impression that you're the type who'll say something, and then deny he said it. Have fun, sunshine.
@ayudameolvidarla Excuse me all to hell with your victim complex. He was being arrested for a legitimate reason, this is a drunk and disorderly and could have been handled more than professionally were it not for John Rambo deciding to go all vigilante justice. I also enjoy you attempting to psychoanalyze my social situation, as if that has any bearing on basic critical thinking.
@StWikked haha... well, if i thought i were a victim, this would hardly be the video i would post. i'm about more action and less whining. mr imel was about the former; you, on the other hand, appear to be about the latter. get a political conscience.
@ayudameolvidarla So what your saying is you are going to make some excuse about being black or brown and use that as an out for everything is the police's fault. Seriously just because you are black or brown doesn't mean you can be above the law and not have to listen to police. If he is resisting arrest they follow protocol, it doesn't matter what he did if he did nothing he will be released. Stop using color as an excuse and prove people wrong instead of whining about it.
@ayudameolvidarla your kidding me right the officers weren't even hitting the guy. you have no reason to assume it was an unlawful arrest in the first place. the guy that jumped in was retarded by trying to be the hero.
@squib1991 i've said it so many times before and i'll say it again-- show me where i'm assuming anything about "unlawful arrest." i don't even use that language. try again
@ayudameolvidarla And your assuming he wasnt being arrested for a legitimate reason, and your pulling the black man card, i am black, and anyone who uses our color as an excuse is a disgrace.
@ayudameolvidarla I'm 100% sure he was being arrested for a legitimate reason. Stop defending niggas acting like fools, you make the rest of us black people look bad.
@Riseofthepoorkids how do you know? unless you live in east baltimore, and were there at that moment, you don't. but go ahead and explain to me how you know.
@STUNTS1516 Uncle Tom? Good old boys looking out for their own? Black cop that lives in a nice house in an uptown suburb? White people don't look out for each other on the whole, why would we expect black people to? It's class warfare above all else.
@STUNTS1516 why do you think that the officer's race matters? do you ever listen to hip hop? check out nwa's "fuck the police" lyrics. the writers of that song were teenagers from compton who had already figured out that black cops were MORE racist than the white cops.
@ayudameolvidarla It's not the police's job to argue law or legitimacy of an arrest with a citizen. If you have a problem with the reasoning you or anyone was arrested theres something called a COURT OF LAW where you can take your disputes before both a judge and a jury of your peers.
Police enforce the law as they see fit, deal with it by using the US court systems.
@m2e1 i'm trying to tell you that that is not the case in the ghetto. the police assume a wild wild west attitude and they do what they want. they have done that for centuries now among black and brown people, and show no signs of abatement. black and brown people form their own economies because there are no jobs or food. try listening to the voices that make it out of the ghetto and articulate what it was. check out "training day" or "boys in the hood" or nwa's "fuck the police." listen.
@ayudameolvidarla "the police assume a wild wild west attitude and they do what they want. they have done that for centuries now among black and brown people" "try listening to the voices that make it out of the ghetto and articulate what it was. check out "training day" or "boys in the hood" or nwa's "fuck the police." listen."
You really just told him to check out Hollywood movies and rap music to gain real truth about the ghetto. Your naive ignorance is really just pitiable. How sad for you
@teenwolftoo "real truth about the ghetto"? those words are not mine. (you sorta conveniently threw that one in there, didn't ya? nice attempt at a strawman...i'm not mad at ya). so what i actually said is that those films/songs are made by people who grew up in the ghetto and lived to testify about what what it was. another good one is "menace 2 society." think of them as testimony-- small pieces of a very complex puzzle. start with those. also read "our enemies in blue" by kristian williams.
@m2e1 and the courts? the courts only listen to the police's side. folks in the ghetto don't have the luxury of your presumptions. so please don't assume you know america when you haven't lived the experiences of tens of millions of americans. the courts are an extension of the police, and the police are considered an illegitimate presence in many communities like this one.
@ayudameolvidarla Yes, because the people in these communities created the culture. If you want people to stop acting like animals and being treated like savages then it starts with them taking a stand. Please stop making it a race issue, it's not one even though you and others would like to think it is.
What im being shown in this video is a man resisting arrest (why is he being arrested? dont know) Point is if a citizen is being arrested (for whatever reason) he needs to cooperate PERIOID.
@m2e1 how do you know what the "point is"? have you tried listening? have you ever been in a conversation for a long period of time with even one person from hoods like this one? have you ever lived in a hood like this one?
also, you tell me i'm making it a race issue, but you talking about people acting like animals? please.
@ayudameolvidarla Call it like I see it. The video includes death threats by bystanders, along with multiple law enforcement commands being disobeyed and other things. You want PEOPLE (not just police) to treat you and your community with respect? ACT THE PART.
Also what does me calling these people animals (which they are acting like) have to do with racism? You're the only one coming to this conclusion... Maybe you're the one with some racist tendencies if your making these connections...
@ayudameolvidarla I understand this is your community and your people and you might have a different point of view but playing the race card and having keywords in the video like "fuck tha police" which is a testament to your view point along with "racism" when there is no clear cut racism being portrayed in the video is just ignorant.
Empower your community to do right and act right and to stop acting the way they're acting in this video. No one is to blame for their actions but themselves.
@m2e1 i never said this was my community or my people. what are you talking about? do you live in Imaginary Land all day, or just when you're getting mad at black and brown people?
@ayudameolvidarla Oh hey its you again, playing the racism card! Glad to see nothing has changed in the last 24 hours.
Anyway it just goes to show how ignorant you truly are for leaving out the reason as to WHY this man was arrested. He smashed his car door into a police vehicle, got out of the car intoxicated and resisted arrest followed by the other man punching a police officer.
Thank you for making my argument for me and showing 30,000 viewers how stupid you really are my friend :D
@m2e1 How about you update the video description with the actual story instead and stop trying to make the intoxicated individual in the video look like some sort of helpless victim when its quite the opposite?
@ayudameolvidarla Good to see the only way you can defend your points is to leave out important details and provide irrelevant arguments and view points.
Stick to being a racist and blaming "the white man" for all your problems. Theres a reason everyone in this country views the people in this video as savages and animals.
@ayudameolvidarla Is that even a serious question? Blacks keep the "ghetto" culture alive where it's "cool" to have run in's with the police and do this and that. Get rid of that BS and do better by your people. All I see is finger pointing "police this" and "police that" along with "racism this racism that".
No one aside from the offenders can be held accountable for their actions.
@ayudameolvidarla "and how do you know who "created the culture"? prove that to me."
So says the person who just said this earlier:
"try listening to the voices that make it out of the ghetto and articulate what it was. check out "training day" or "boys in the hood" or nwa's "fuck the police." listen."
The idea that this isn't somehow glorified or promoted WITHIN the community instead of vilified as the self-perpetuating cause of the majority of their community's ills is just ridiculous.
@teenwolftoo--i see where you're trying to go with that, but i remain unconvinced. those cultural objects are part of popular culture writ large, not specifically ghetto culture. (in fact, you'll find that whites in the suburbs are the primary market for such music and films. you could just as well call them suburban culture.) the culture of the ghetto to which I am referring is much more complex. the police not only help create the ghetto as such. they set the parameters within which it exists.
@teenwolftoo-- what is the ghetto? what do you think it is? one sociologist says the ghetto is an "urban condom" to protect the rest of society by concentrating the most disenfranchised people in one place. this helps us explain why medical care and fresh produce and jobs and fast emergency responses and trust for the police are often found elsewhere. the police help maintain the boundaries of the ghetto. therefore, they are indispensable to ghetto culture. savvy?
@ayudameolvidarla If you choose to disobey law enforcements orders you take the risk of having force used on you. This man chose not to obey law enforcement and verbal commands therefore he got taken down and force was used upon him.
I myself am a minority and I have never had issues with police or law enforcement both personally nor in my neighborhood simply because people here are civilized and law abiding. The same cannot be said for those in the video. Stop playing the race card as a copout
@m2e1 i think you assume that the law is legit. where i live, i don't have the luxury of your presumptions. the ghetto is a space where the police kill whom they please, take what they like, rape whom they want, and then lie about what they have done. maybe that's not your own experience, but can you at least listen to people whose experience it is?
@ayudameolvidarla Im not going to listen to straight up lies. I don't know what you think but I myself do not even live in a "middle class" type lifestyle. The difference between my community and your community is that we are proud of where we reside, we refuse to allow this unlawful nonsense to penetrate our neighborhoods and we have respect for ourselves and our culture (which is something im not seeing in this video).
You can blame the cops and say they rape and kill and this and that....
@m2e1 i have to go to work. you are out of touch with reality if you think it's a lie that cops are raping and killing people in the hood. many people do not have the luxury of your presumptions about the legitimacy of the police. if you don't care to listen then we have nothing to talk about. continue being an apologist for babylon if you want. but you will be on the wrong side of history. bet on that.
@ayudameolvidarla Theres a reason why your "hood" and the people that act this way are viewed in a negative light by the majority of americans and it's because of the thought process and close-minded mentality you have displayed throughout our conversation.
Your "HOOD" is the reason police become hostile and aggresive. When they know they're dealing with savages and unruly people they have to be on the defensive and protect themselves at all times.
@m2e1--ha ha, okay, now you're REALLY grasping at straws. listen: the ghetto would not exist without the police. you should read "interzones" by kevin mumford or "American Apartheid" by douglas massey and nancy denton. or you should marshal your own sources to document your claims. but if you cannot do so, please do the respectful thing and politely refrain from speaking about shit you know nothing about.
@ayudameolvidarla Quit spewing shit that is irrelevant to the video and acknowledge that the man being arrested in this video SMASHED his car door into a police vehicle then got out of the vehicle intoxicated followed by resisting arrest.
Stop trying to change the subject, fix the video description to accurately portray the incident and ill respect you a hell of a lot more :)
@ayudameolvidarla This thought process of police "raping" and "killing" people in the hood goes without factual proof. There are police shootings EVERYWHERE in america and for the most part they are justified (some are not). But dont be a dumbass and assume that EVERY police officer is bad and that you are some innocent victims because you ARENT.
Change your culture and the lifestyle in your "hood" stop complaining about things that are yours and other peoples faults just because you want to
@m2e1 the police aren't unethical because some of them break laws; they're unethical because they protect each other with the might of the state. remember what i mentioned in my previous reply to you. if someone were trying to kill you, you ran to the police, and they drove off, would you trust them? if the police were gathering around you late at night and then disbanded when a citizen inquired about their purpose, would you trust them? honest question.
@ayudameolvidarla Im starting to think all your stories regarding experiences belonging to both you and other who you know are completely false.
You cannot even accurately describe what took place in the video let alone comment on it.
UPDATE THE VIDEO DESCRIPTION TO LET OTHERS KNOW OF WHAT TRULY HAPPENED IN THE VIDEO. THE MAN SMASHED HIS CAR DOOR INTO A POLICE VEHICLE, GOT OUT INTOXICATED AND RESISTED ARREST.
@ayudameolvidarla Blame law enforcement. They are the least of your concerns. Educate the youth in your community to stop the gangbang mentality, stop the drug mentality stop this whole "ghetto is cool" mentality and teach them how to live the right way instead of teaching them how to blame the police and law enforcement or telling them some bullshit like "police are racist".
Best of luck to you and keep living the lifestyle you do, your life will never change for the better with ur mentality.
@m2e1 hmm. "ghetto is cool" mentality? you should expand on this a little. tell me what you mean. in what way do my words evince this mentality? my actual words, now-- not your imaginary of what i must mean. let's not have you making up strawman arguments for me anymore.
@ayudameolvidarla UPDATE THE VIDEO DESCRIPTION TO LET OTHERS KNOW OF WHAT TRULY HAPPENED IN THE VIDEO. THE MAN SMASHED HIS CAR DOOR INTO A POLICE VEHICLE, GOT OUT INTOXICATED AND RESISTED ARREST.
Update the video and ill clarify whatever you'd like me to clarify :)
@ayudameolvidarla But it's simply not true in the big picture. Yes there are corrupt cops but thats an EXTREMELY small and I do mean SMALL percentage of police officers. The rest try to do good and do their best they can in order to serve their communities (which many officers themselves grew up in).
Again, take a CLOSE look at the people in this video and the supposed "victim". I can guarantee you he isint some little angel who was just walking down the street when two cops decided to mess....
@m2e1, after a long day of work, i come back to you, only to find that you make ever more unsubstantiated claims. you have no basis for claiming, as you do, "Yes there are corrupt cops but thats an EXTREMELY small and I do mean SMALL percentage of police officers." define your terms. document this claim.
@ayudameolvidarla Honestly man you are INSANE. All my claims are documented in statistical figures and facts please do research, I am not your Google.
I'm done discussing this topic with you. It's fairly obvious you have a very close-minded one way train of thought when it comes to dealing with law and authority which you and others such as yourself choose to spit on and disrespect all while crying wolf.
Keep living the life you live, it's getting you and your "hood" nowhere fast.
@m2e1 what stats? show em, if you're so confident about them. i'm at least naming the texts i read and i even cite personal experience. you have done nothing. i can only assume that you have no evidence for assuming that the man on the ground had committed any crime. hence, you cannot assume that his resisting arrest-- or manuel imel's attack on the arresting officers-- isn't a legitimate defense against an illegal arrest. you should try listening to a perspective other than your own.
@ayudameolvidarla With him. He had to have done something in order to provoke an arrest. So lets hear the full story instead of watching a minor piece of video and throwing out assumptions shall we?
Lets starts by hearing what this man did to get arrested (the actual truth please).
@m2e1 i have watched six cops gather around one black man on a street late at night and then disband after i inquired as to why they were stopping him. my colleague's young student was getting chased by youngsters who meant to kill him. he tried to get help from a cop parked in a car, and the cop sped off. there are many more examples. try reading "our enemies in blue" by kristian williams to get more of a sense of why people in the ghetto don't trust the police the way you do.
@ayudameolvidarla You keep bringing up the ghetto as if your the only one who lives in a poor neighborhood. Buddy im from and live in Miami-Dade county (which im sure has been in the spot light as of late with certain bragging about the activities that take place here)
It's just as bad if not worse than your little community in regards to idiots buying into the hype. The only difference is that the community I live in does not tolerate this garbage therefore we don't deal with it.
@ayudameolvidarla We take PRIDE in where we live and how we represent ourselves therefore we don't allow idiots such as the one in the video posted to become part of our culture. We are trying to do right every day to make sure these people don't become the norm in OUR society so please try and do the same for your community instead of playing the victim.
Also I asked you earlier for the FULL story in regards to this video, can you please update the vid description and post in detail what happen
@ayudameolvidarla Please don't assume you know America when you haven't lived the experiences of tens of millions of Americans who are law abiding, hard working, and lacking a vast sense of entitlement or a perpetually wrongly held series of grievances about how the world/society/police/courts/banks/government/corporations/religions/whitey etc are out to keep them down and are to blame for all their ills.
Personal responsibility, try acknowledging it, for once. According to the Brookings Institute, only 2% of people who graduate from high school, get married before you have children, and work are in poverty, 77% of them are above the national average in income. Try doing that and NOT attacking cops who are merely enforcing the laws that society has enacted for the safety and prosperity of the citizenry.
@teenwolftoo you need to contextualize your statistical argument a little more. it's a bit flat still. it lacks dimension. you seem intelligent, albeit guided mostly by your local news when it comes to how things are in the ghetto, and so i hope you will explain what you mean. keep going.
@teenwolftoo who here is not law abiding? at the minimum, it's not illegal to resist an unlawful arrest. since you have no basis for believing this is a lawful arrest, you can't know that these people are not law abiding. more to my point, it is never ethical to obey an unethical order, and the police enforce an unethical order.
@candIejac Ignoring my use of basic hyperbole to convey a point, it was not a little slap. It was a full wind up punch/tackle. There are numerous ways to approach responding to the assault of a police officer, and in a situation where an officer is pinned and considered to be in a life-threatening situation (for example having a large individual pinning him to the ground and restricting movement). A quick kick is much more ethical than being shot, dont you think?
@StWikked As an Officer of the law, its always my first priority to shoot an unarmed civilianm if i cant do that, then im gona kick his head while his laying down, i dont know why they teach us armed combat, wer all suchs pussys without a gun enyway.
Then people wanna say brutality on the boys for cuffing the guy that hitem

most people will see this and assume that the black man on the ground did something wrong. but you can't assume that. it is not illegal to resist an illegal arrest. moreover, the charge of "resisting arrest" is one that the pigs will surely throw at you, even if they shouldn't have arrested you in the first place.
ayudameolvidarla 1 month ago 4
@ayudameolvidarla There is no such thing as an "Illegal arrest". Sound crazy? Read up on criminology. an officer could place you under arrest for up to 24 hours, with no charges.
If you resist arrest, you are doing just that. It's a crime. Now if you resist arrest and no other crimes are pressed against you, usually resisting arrest will be dropped.
The guy who jumped the cops, is lucky he was not shot.
fischedj 1 month ago
it is ILLEGAL to resist EVEN an ILLEGAL ARREST.

Lucavii 1 month ago
@Lucavii you have no basis for claiming that it is a legal arrest, do you? you assume that because the cops are doing it that it's legal, right?
ayudameolvidarla 1 month ago
@ayudameolvidarla Actually my basis for claiming a legal arrest comes from the fact that police can arrest you for ANYTHING. If you are suspect for anything they can arrest you. It does not make you guilty, and it doe not mean you will get a criminal record or even be detained. So yes, it was a legal arrest. Get over it.
Lucavii 1 month ago
@Lucavii Agreed. Lately Ive become more and more disgusted with law enforcement, but this one was handled pretty reasonably. The first one to throw a punch or kick was the non cop that decked the one trying to make the arrest. Im not sure if the one cop would have stopped without the camera in his face, but he happened to stop at the same moment they separated the old guy from the cop. Kudos for not going straight to the guns.

Only the highest echelon of stupid people would openly assault a police officer.
StWikked 1 month ago 24
@StWikked and you're assuming he was being arrested for some legitimate reason--which means that you have never lived as a black or brown person in a neighborhood like this one in all your impressionable years and hence do not know of what you speak. and you're also assuming that proper protocol (your reference to "this is the way it works" for instance) is in any way ethical. people on this thread (and this street) are making an ETHICAL indictment of the police.

patientzero532 1 month ago
@patientzero532 actually, i don't assume anything. explain to me where i even used those terms. i have only ever said that we don't know he was a criminal. most people assume that he was a criminal because of where this incident takes place and who lives there.
also, i'm curious about why the race of the cops matters to you. (it doesn't to me or to anyone here. as i've said many times here, the police are an occupying force.) all kinds of cops abuse and harass black and brown poor folks.
ayudameolvidarla 1 month ago
@ayudameolvidarla Do you even read your own posts!? You JUST WROTE that race doesn't matter to you, and then in the next sentence, you accuse cops of harassing black and brown folks. And yes, you make assumptions. Although you do not use the word "assume" in your text, your assumptions are implicit, by the way you express yourself.
You actually impress me as just some young kid, who can't formulate a thought, and who just blows hot air. Interest lost.
patientzero532 1 month ago
@patientzero532 in the future, when framing an argument about what someone has said, try quoting. it's quite a stretch to say that i said "race doesn't matter" to me. in fact, i'm virtually certain that is not what i said. when you can frame your argument without leaning on strawmen, holler at me then. it is true, though, that police (of all races) routinely antagonize black and brown youths. if you are getting most of your info about the ghetto from the news, you probably won't grasp this.

Police enforce the law as they see fit, deal with it by using the US court systems.

(you sorta conveniently threw that one in there, didn't ya? nice attempt at a strawman...i'm not mad at ya). so what i actually said is that those films/songs are made by people who grew up in the ghetto and lived to testify about what what it was. another good one is "menace 2 society." think of them as testimony-- small pieces of a very complex puzzle. start with those. also read "our enemies in blue" by kristian williams.
ayudameolvidarla 1 month ago
@m2e1 and the courts? the courts only listen to the police's side. folks in the ghetto don't have the luxury of your presumptions. so please don't assume you know america when you haven't lived the experiences of tens of millions of americans. the courts are an extension of the police, and the police are considered an illegitimate presence in many communities like this one.
ayudameolvidarla 1 month ago
@ayudameolvidarla Yes, because the people in these communities created the culture. If you want people to stop acting like animals and being treated like savages then it starts with them taking a stand. Please stop making it a race issue, it's not one even though you and others would like to think it is.
What im being shown in this video is a man resisting arrest (why is he being arrested? dont know) Point is if a citizen is being arrested (for whatever reason) he needs to cooperate PERIOID.
m2e1 1 month ago
@m2e1 how do you know what the "point is"? have you tried listening? have you ever been in a conversation for a long period of time with even one person from hoods like this one? have you ever lived in a hood like this one?
also, you tell me i'm making it a race issue, but you talking about people acting like animals? please.
ayudameolvidarla 1 month ago
@ayudameolvidarla Call it like I see it. The video includes death threats by bystanders, along with multiple law enforcement commands being disobeyed and other things. You want PEOPLE (not just police) to treat you and your community with respect? ACT THE PART.
Also what does me calling these people animals (which they are acting like) have to do with racism? You're the only one coming to this conclusion... Maybe you're the one with some racist tendencies if your making these connections...
m2e1 1 month ago
@ayudameolvidarla I understand this is your community and your people and you might have a different point of view but playing the race card and having keywords in the video like "fuck tha police" which is a testament to your view point along with "racism" when there is no clear cut racism being portrayed in the video is just ignorant.
Empower your community to do right and act right and to stop acting the way they're acting in this video. No one is to blame for their actions but themselves.
m2e1 1 month ago
@m2e1 i never said this was my community or my people. what are you talking about? do you live in Imaginary Land all day, or just when you're getting mad at black and brown people?
ayudameolvidarla 1 month ago
@ayudameolvidarla Oh hey its you again, playing the racism card! Glad to see nothing has changed in the last 24 hours.
Anyway it just goes to show how ignorant you truly are for leaving out the reason as to WHY this man was arrested. He smashed his car door into a police vehicle, got out of the car intoxicated and resisted arrest followed by the other man punching a police officer.
Thank you for making my argument for me and showing 30,000 viewers how stupid you really are my friend :D
m2e1 1 month ago
@m2e1 How about you update the video description with the actual story instead and stop trying to make the intoxicated individual in the video look like some sort of helpless victim when its quite the opposite?
m2e1 1 month ago
@m2e1 i never said he was a helpless victim. i'm going to start addressing you as mrs strawman.
ayudameolvidarla 1 month ago
@ayudameolvidarla Good to see the only way you can defend your points is to leave out important details and provide irrelevant arguments and view points.
Stick to being a racist and blaming "the white man" for all your problems. Theres a reason everyone in this country views the people in this video as savages and animals.
Anyway, welcome to my block list :D
m2e1 1 month ago
@m2e1 WRONG! the man whose door smacked into the cop car was the same one who punched the pig. thanks for the laugh. your faltering grasp of the facts aside, my point has been (1) there are ethical reasons why people in ghettos across the US think the police are an occupying force and (2) you and many of the other people on this discussion have no basis for assuming that the arrest was lawful and seemed, to me and others, to be assuming the man on the ground was guilty until proven innocent
ayudameolvidarla 1 month ago
@m2e1 and how do you know who "created the culture"? prove that to me.
ayudameolvidarla 1 month ago
@ayudameolvidarla Is that even a serious question? Blacks keep the "ghetto" culture alive where it's "cool" to have run in's with the police and do this and that. Get rid of that BS and do better by your people. All I see is finger pointing "police this" and "police that" along with "racism this racism that".
No one aside from the offenders can be held accountable for their actions.
m2e1 1 month ago
@ayudameolvidarla "and how do you know who "created the culture"? prove that to me."
So says the person who just said this earlier:
"try listening to the voices that make it out of the ghetto and articulate what it was. check out "training day" or "boys in the hood" or nwa's "fuck the police." listen."
The idea that this isn't somehow glorified or promoted WITHIN the community instead of vilified as the self-perpetuating cause of the majority of their community's ills is just ridiculous.
teenwolftoo 1 month ago
@teenwolftoo--i see where you're trying to go with that, but i remain unconvinced. those cultural objects are part of popular culture writ large, not specifically ghetto culture. (in fact, you'll find that whites in the suburbs are the primary market for such music and films. you could just as well call them suburban culture.) the culture of the ghetto to which I am referring is much more complex. the police not only help create the ghetto as such. they set the parameters within which it exists.
ayudameolvidarla 1 month ago
@teenwolftoo-- what is the ghetto? what do you think it is? one sociologist says the ghetto is an "urban condom" to protect the rest of society by concentrating the most disenfranchised people in one place. this helps us explain why medical care and fresh produce and jobs and fast emergency responses and trust for the police are often found elsewhere. the police help maintain the boundaries of the ghetto. therefore, they are indispensable to ghetto culture. savvy?
ayudameolvidarla 1 month ago
@ayudameolvidarla If you choose to disobey law enforcements orders you take the risk of having force used on you. This man chose not to obey law enforcement and verbal commands therefore he got taken down and force was used upon him.
I myself am a minority and I have never had issues with police or law enforcement both personally nor in my neighborhood simply because people here are civilized and law abiding. The same cannot be said for those in the video. Stop playing the race card as a copout
m2e1 1 month ago
@m2e1 i think you assume that the law is legit. where i live, i don't have the luxury of your presumptions. the ghetto is a space where the police kill whom they please, take what they like, rape whom they want, and then lie about what they have done. maybe that's not your own experience, but can you at least listen to people whose experience it is?
ayudameolvidarla 1 month ago
@ayudameolvidarla Im not going to listen to straight up lies. I don't know what you think but I myself do not even live in a "middle class" type lifestyle. The difference between my community and your community is that we are proud of where we reside, we refuse to allow this unlawful nonsense to penetrate our neighborhoods and we have respect for ourselves and our culture (which is something im not seeing in this video).
You can blame the cops and say they rape and kill and this and that....
m2e1 1 month ago
@m2e1 i have to go to work. you are out of touch with reality if you think it's a lie that cops are raping and killing people in the hood. many people do not have the luxury of your presumptions about the legitimacy of the police. if you don't care to listen then we have nothing to talk about. continue being an apologist for babylon if you want. but you will be on the wrong side of history. bet on that.
ayudameolvidarla 1 month ago
@ayudameolvidarla Theres a reason why your "hood" and the people that act this way are viewed in a negative light by the majority of americans and it's because of the thought process and close-minded mentality you have displayed throughout our conversation.
Your "HOOD" is the reason police become hostile and aggresive. When they know they're dealing with savages and unruly people they have to be on the defensive and protect themselves at all times.
m2e1 1 month ago

Change your culture and the lifestyle in your "hood" stop complaining about things that are yours and other peoples faults just because you want to
m2e1 1 month ago
@m2e1 the police aren't unethical because some of them break laws; they're unethical because they protect each other with the might of the state. remember what i mentioned in my previous reply to you. if someone were trying to kill you, you ran to the police, and they drove off, would you trust them? if the police were gathering around you late at night and then disbanded when a citizen inquired about their purpose, would you trust them? honest question.

I can guarantee you he isint some little angel who was just walking down the street when two cops decided to mess....
m2e1 1 month ago
@m2e1, after a long day of work, i come back to you, only to find that you make ever more unsubstantiated claims. you have no basis for claiming, as you do, "Yes there are corrupt cops but thats an EXTREMELY small and I do mean SMALL percentage of police officers." define your terms. document this claim.
ayudameolvidarla 1 month ago
@ayudameolvidarla Honestly man you are INSANE. All my claims are documented in statistical figures and facts please do research, I am not your Google.
I'm done discussing this topic with you. It's fairly obvious you have a very close-minded one way train of thought when it comes to dealing with law and authority which you and others such as yourself choose to spit on and disrespect all while crying wolf.
Keep living the life you live, it's getting you and your "hood" nowhere fast.
Good luck!
m2e1 1 month ago
@m2e1 what stats? show em, if you're so confident about them. i'm at least naming the texts i read and i even cite personal experience. you have done nothing. i can only assume that you have no evidence for assuming that the man on the ground had committed any crime. hence, you cannot assume that his resisting arrest-- or manuel imel's attack on the arresting officers-- isn't a legitimate defense against an illegal arrest. you should try listening to a perspective other than your own.
ayudameolvidarla 1 month ago
@ayudameolvidarla With him. He had to have done something in order to provoke an arrest. So lets hear the full story instead of watching a minor piece of video and throwing out assumptions shall we?
Lets starts by hearing what this man did to get arrested (the actual truth please).
m2e1 1 month ago
@m2e1 i have watched six cops gather around one black man on a street late at night and then disband after i inquired as to why they were stopping him. my colleague's young student was getting chased by youngsters who meant to kill him. he tried to get help from a cop parked in a car, and the cop sped off. there are many more examples. try reading "our enemies in blue" by kristian williams to get more of a sense of why people in the ghetto don't trust the police the way you do.
ayudameolvidarla 1 month ago
@ayudameolvidarla You keep bringing up the ghetto as if your the only one who lives in a poor neighborhood. Buddy im from and live in Miami-Dade county (which im sure has been in the spot light as of late with certain bragging about the activities that take place here)
It's just as bad if not worse than your little community in regards to idiots buying into the hype. The only difference is that the community I live in does not tolerate this garbage therefore we don't deal with it.
m2e1 1 month ago
@ayudameolvidarla We take PRIDE in where we live and how we represent ourselves therefore we don't allow idiots such as the one in the video posted to become part of our culture. We are trying to do right every day to make sure these people don't become the norm in OUR society so please try and do the same for your community instead of playing the victim.
Also I asked you earlier for the FULL story in regards to this video, can you please update the vid description and post in detail what happen
m2e1 1 month ago
@ayudameolvidarla Please don't assume you know America when you haven't lived the experiences of tens of millions of Americans who are law abiding, hard working, and lacking a vast sense of entitlement or a perpetually wrongly held series of grievances about how the world/society/police/courts/banks/government/corporations/religions/whitey etc are out to keep them down and are to blame for all their ills.
contd.
teenwolftoo 1 month ago
@ayudameolvidarla
contd.
Personal responsibility, try acknowledging it, for once. According to the Brookings Institute, only 2% of people who graduate from high school, get married before you have children, and work are in poverty, 77% of them are above the national average in income. Try doing that and NOT attacking cops who are merely enforcing the laws that society has enacted for the safety and prosperity of the citizenry.
teenwolftoo 1 month ago
@teenwolftoo you need to contextualize your statistical argument a little more. it's a bit flat still. it lacks dimension. you seem intelligent, albeit guided mostly by your local news when it comes to how things are in the ghetto, and so i hope you will explain what you mean. keep going.
ayudameolvidarla 1 month ago
@teenwolftoo who here is not law abiding? at the minimum, it's not illegal to resist an unlawful arrest. since you have no basis for believing this is a lawful arrest, you can't know that these people are not law abiding. more to my point, it is never ethical to obey an unethical order, and the police enforce an unethical order.

@StWikked Every right to shoot a man because he gave him a little slap? Shut the fuck up.
candIejac 1 month ago
@candIejac Ignoring my use of basic hyperbole to convey a point, it was not a little slap. It was a full wind up punch/tackle. There are numerous ways to approach responding to the assault of a police officer, and in a situation where an officer is pinned and considered to be in a life-threatening situation (for example having a large individual pinning him to the ground and restricting movement). A quick kick is much more ethical than being shot, dont you think?
