@debkajon I would say for the refresh rate and energy consumption, LED is "best." LCD monitors are still cheaper at the moment. I do like my LCD monitors and TVs, but I can't wait to get an LED set!

Plasma has the best picture. I own a Panasonic 50 " HDTV. I LOVE IT. The way I see it, it they stop making the Plasma TV and I get 5 to 7 years out of this one, I'll just buy an LED TV then. LCD will be a " Thing of the past" by then......LOL

I agree, was weary of plasma at first (went thru 2 42" sanyo's Had a terrible problem with burn in/ malfunctions)

Then got a hitachi. Have had this 3 yrs, paid a fortune, but awesome detail and clarity.

Only 1080i, but not to noticable in comparison to 1080p.

The only draw back to plasma is the amount of power these things consume. also, they put off considerable heat, atleast mine does.

Amazing technology. Hitachi, I think is one of the best at what they do. Not only Tv's, but camcorders, Pc hardrives,etc.... And the the worker that was dreaming of a plasma tv? I thought the workers get paid well...hmmm....

I got an Uncle who works for Hitachi. I got to go to one of there business Complex's. The Woo is seriously one of the best sets I've ever seen. Very thin, very bright, very high quality.
