I see what you all are saying. I wish they had made him (westerner) more of an observer versus the focus. Give him his small observation role, to make all the "up tights" and "wanna be's" be satisfied. Would have been better to make him East Asian, from maybe a different land like Japan or Korea or even from as faraway as South India that would have made more sense. Oh well let's not shoot Jackie or Li Lian Jie (Jet) for this one. LET'S CRUICIFY THE SCREENPLAY WRITERS!!!!

Without the white guy, I was almost inclined to think that this was a live action version of "Samurai Champloo" It made me think that primarily because of the time Jackie says "we can kill each other when this is over", plus the fight scene between Jet and Jackie.  The two guys in Samurai Champloo are almost mortal enemies, but they are both so good they can't seem to kill each other. Plus you have the chick that follows them around. The white kid makes no sense so I no longer think that.

I believe Rush Hour 3 or his previous movie was the last movie in which he did ALL the stunts himself (excluding acts such as flying as seen in "The Medallion"). Although I hate saying it, Jackie Chan is just getting too old to do all his own stunts.

Jakie plays the traditional comeidic drunken master, and Jet plays the Cold yet awsome badass. You gotta love'em!

Jackie Chan has enjoyed a highly successful film career both here and overseas. Yes, he has aged, but so has Jet Li. Jet Li was supposed to have retired about two years ago, but he is back. Jackie has given us many memorable stunts that he did himself, broken every bone in his body, and he even learned English. In my humble opinion Jackie can continue to make movies until we, his fans say "Enough, Jackie...you have earned your Tapioca pudding." We loves ya! :)

actually jet li never said he'd retire he siad that fearles would be his last martial art epic, now he does action moves in which he uses martial arts but his martial ats are not the main aspect of the movies as opposed to movies like fearles
