It may be hard to resist...........BUT..........it's not right to chase wildlife. It gives All flyer's a bad name. The animals are in a state of panic. Know what i mean.
@503challenger So what happens when a wolf decides to chase a deer? I guess they aren't panicking then... Nah, they just sit back with a cognac and a cigar and say "fuck you wolves". Maybe we should outlaw predators so as not to get the game in a tizzy.
It sure does but with the engine on you can give it some throttle right before you land to ease it in and get a smooth landing but Yes as compared to an airplane landing with no engine, it is alot slower and softer landing. One of the things my flight trainer did was have me do a couple of engine out landings.
@PaperModelPlaneLover On the big ranches down south they do that. But they usually use helicopters. An ultralight would do the same thing but A LOT cheaper. That's not a bad idea
You might be able to hunt from an aircraft in some states. But under federal law it is illegal to chase or harass wildlife in all states. Hope the feds aren't watching this. :(
i dont know about herding but you certainly could mark on your GPS where the deer are and then when you hunt take your GPS with you to guide you to these spots. thanks for viewing
@th3boy75 I dont know what state this is, but in California you cant legally hunt the same day you fly on an airplane of any kind. But these do make great Pre-season scouting tools!
Your Right, it is Peter. It took me a couple of months to get up the nerve to solo, even after instruction. I was saying to myself, "Gene, we can sell this thing and walk away. If you dont think you can do this, we dont have to do it." ha ha ha I had SUCH A RUSH after I landed, I couldnt quit smiling for weeks! It was one of the biggest rushes of my life second only to seeing my son being born. I love taking people up because I get to see that rush again with them.
Merry Christmas! I fly a 2000 Buckeye Dream Machine Powered Parachute (PPC) It has a Rotax 582 cc engine . My helmet blocks out like 90% of the noice. Earmuffs better cause they are noice canceling, and i can plug up my ipod to them..I fly in West Tn. North of Memphis but have buddys that fly North Ms. and Middle Tn. Thanks for the questions, sorry for the slow response. Gene
