@luciferslight100 It's a great question, my "take" on reality is more along the lines of Robert Anton Wilson's Reality Tunnels mixed with all possibility. I am not 100% that "it" works, but I am 100% that there is an effect due to the cause, what this change is or how it's perceived is anyone's guess.

@chocolatebarbiegirl The only thing that really matters when working with sigils is what any symbol or action represents to YOU. If you believe that burning the sigil will diminish the effect, then that's what will happen. If you believe burning it will amplify it's effect, then that's what will happen. It's all fine and good to take advice from advanced Chaotes, but always take it with a grain of salt because what certain thing worked for them may not work for you. Just don't drink antifreeze.

Then again, I thought that sigils weren't based upon systems of faith (though I know many people often incorporate them into their rituals) and therefore didn't require a spell to aid in manifestation.

A couple of questions...1. When creating a sigil how do you specify a deadline when you want to see full manifestation? I always struggle with this concept because when I need or desire something, my need is immediate, so unless this type of magic is limited and requires a certain length of time to come to fruition, can't results be expected immediately? 2. Are the possibilities unlimited in sigil magic? Everyone wants money and lots of it. Can someone create a sigil for millions of dollars?

I've been casting sigils for years, but I've found that, mostly due to simply not knowing any other chaos magicians on a day to day basis, I get stuck in my ruts and conventions which, over time, become more and more of a detriment. So it's nice to just get a few little reminders to think outside the box. Hey, that's what chaos magic was founded on, after all - throwing away typical convention and habit.

Just a word-when charging I tend to focus on the FEELING behind the verbal intent-rather than using actual words or language. This seems to maximise results. I am of the firm opinion that our intentions are often mysterious, and like our true nature, often discreetly hidden from our rampaging consciousness-so I try to focus on what my TRUE WILL requires, and try for the most part to be a bit sceptical about my EGO desires-(a lot of crap usually!).

@LaMorenasaa There's different ways to charge a sigil. The masturbation thing has become the butt of jokes among magickal practitioners. All you have to do is achieve a focused state of mind on the thing and put however much psychic energy into it as you see fit. I've charged a sigil in MANY ways including physical activity, monotony (like organizing your 18 gig pdf library), playing a tough video game, etc. Chaos Magick isn't as rigid as some would like it to be.
