Actually, most of the Catholic Church's troubled past is now hidden away from the public's eye. But whenever something is disclosed... Humanity's complaints range from genocide to child abuse. How wonderful coming from (supposed) representatives of God.

I believe in God but I also believe in Justice. I just wish they (Catholic establishment) would realize committing crimes and sins may not be as easily forgiven and forgotten as they would hope.

@renumeratedfrog You're ignoring that the vast majority of the population is either atheist, agnostic or at least non-practicing Christian or Muslim. Not to mention various minor religious groups.

Most people don't protest because they don't like the Vatican but because the pope over time has changed from a force for morality to a force for blind conservatism that's harming the world more than helping.
